My 2c Just buy a 32 GTR?
-
^^ Now the owner of said vehicle - I get around 400 KM/tank in the city if I drive it quietly. However if I boot it, which I have been known to do, it go's down pretty quickly. But eco is not what a GTR is designed for.
-
They were on the car when I baught it. I baught the car from neil, he gets around on these forums a fair bit. He will probobly know more.
-
The seller I baught it off specifically said many times they were ball bearing turbo's

Howdy everyone I currently drive a R32 GTR with only mild work done to it - they being R34 BB turbos, high-flow filter and turbo-back exhaust. I run .9 Bar in stock config with no boost controller. What power should i expect to be putting out, awKW/awHP? what tourque range? Also, with R34 turbo's what could I safely boost up to? Thanks Ian

hehe not quite, the remote wire in the main plug is for a power antenna whereas the remote for the stock amp seems to me to be in the rear speak plug on the 32 as well. I could be wrong however
-
its a easy fix man, just pull the earth out of the socket like chris said, however according to my wiring diagram the remote wire for the stock amp is in another socket?

Hi all I have recently installed a headunit to my R32 GTR and am now blowing the fuse for the dash lights/rear tail lights. Using this guide here: http://www.installdr.com/Harnesses/Nissan-Wiring.pdf I found that wire C had no wire in it, however wire B had a black and red wire, and I assumed they were swapped. Going on this assumption, I plugged up my head unit (The stock speakers arent actually that bad at all, how surprising is that?) and everything worked like a charm. Great I thought, put the car back together and went to test drive it to check for engine nose. On powering up the car a slight problem dawned on me. Firing up my headlights, I noticed firstly that I had no dash lights, and secondly no tail lights (break and reverse/indictator works fine however). A blown fuse is what I guessed at and I scavanged a fuse from my old car (poor baby, shes so neglected these days). Lo and behold, as soon as I fired the head lights up, even with the car switched off and the headunit quite definatly off, the fuse blew again. Anyone have any ideas as to why? Im out on my back here and have no idea wtf is going wrong, I really dont want to remove the head unit again as its quite a pain in the bum. Thanks Ian

I found replacing fuse 9 from the left at the top in my R32 GTR fixed this. I am having other issues now however, see other threads.
-
err number 9 when counting from the top left in order anyway
-
fuse number 9 - 10 amp fuse - went through every fuse on mine and found this, replaced it and clock came back to life.

May be intrested, just baught a 32 GTR and dont really like the wheels on there, but the rubber is brand new so id wait until it was run down before I put new wheels on.

Hi everyone: I have decided its time to move on with the astina and have put a deposit down on a R32 GTR Skyline, so its time for the astina to go. Windscreen whipers Pictures: I feel like im forgetting something, however I will add more later. Important to note: Does not come with steering wheel or stereo. Hi. Sorry if this has been asked to death, I did a search and couldnt come up with anything meaningful however. I have just put my deposit down on a R32 GTR and plan to take ownership after the mechanical inspection next saturday. The car has a switch in it which allows it to switch from AWD to RWD, however I was after some more information on how that works and what exactly it does, if it reduces drivetrain loss at all etc etc etc. Also if the ABS works when in RWD mode, the AWD and ABS lights on the dash come on. When I test drove the car I noticed considerably more pickup in RWD mode however I felt it handeled better in AWD. Thanks Ian

$13,400, R33 Skyline Sold! Sold!
IanB replied to jetskyliner33's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
13.4 is cheap as, I am really after a GTR however if I cant get that money together this is a very attractive offer. PM sent. -
Im in the market, but my budget falls short of 28, and it would take me a month or two too catch up to it. Can you sweeten the deal? maybe remove some goodies? I was looking at a 32, but if I can get a 33 then hell yeah!

Howdy folks, my names Ian, I currently drive a sleeper astina that has had a BP-t conversion done to it, some of you may know the car. I have recently signed up for a full time permant position with a decent income and as such I can finance a new (well, used) car so its time to upgrade! What im after is looks, handling and preformance (in that order) without costing over 20k, so I think I can get an R32 GTR for that price. Im not really too concerned if its largely stock, a stock 32 GTR will be more then fast enough for me, and with the whole 4wd thing it should stick to the road fairly well. I tried searching the forums but after 10 mins of rummaging I came up empty, so I figured it would be easier if I just enquired here. Sorry if this post seems a bit disjointed. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. Previously to this I had a look at a R32 GTS4-t however I found it was rather gutless, the car had less then Low oil (had to send the owner out to get oil, begs the question of how did it get from the boat to his house, 20 km away from the port, hmmm?) when I inspected it, was dirty and was not complianced and hence I left quite disappointed. However now, a few months down the track, I have more options money wise so I am looking at the R32 GTR's. Thanks Ian

Ah Just noticed the other thread, sorry. Still, the other thread doesent cover what to look for when buying a used skyline.

Howdy everyone My names Ian, im a friend of Tim, he drives a R33 GTST (silver, qld member, you may know him) anyway, im looking at buying a GTS4T skyline. Just figured id come here and ask the experts their opinions. Im after info on the car, how it compares up against other skylines (Weight / Power / Tourqe / Lag / Reliability / Drivetrain), general notes on the car, what I should look out for when buying this car, what signs I can see of dammage or wear etc. Im buying the GTS4T because its said to be a well handling car with enough power and not a whole lot of weight. Its actually probobly going to be slower then my current ride, a GTX BPT Astina, but its gona be more comfortable. Any info would be appreciated Thanks Ian
