Dolphin Carbon Fibre Bonnet With Vents
Midol replied to Charlie Stokes's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Am I right in thinking that carbon fibre bonnets = defect in QLD as well? -
He's gonna need a lot more than a barrier I think. I'm getting a full stainless steel dog cage (removable) designed. Bolt in and out, that way when I dont have to cart him around I can remove it. I'll try a simple barrier first, but I think his frustration will lead him to attempt to destroy anything that isn't metal. ETA: Only the m35 has the glass removable bit on the boot doesn't it? Can't recall what it is called but you have two pieces and you can open the "front" one independently.

Sure is I do security (patrols) and a few of our clients are aged care homes. The flu + aged care homes = fail. Work isn't impressed with me calling in sick for unfortunately for them my health and the health of my workmates and the clients comes first. Whatever strain it is is contagious as all hell. The entire family came down with it, I recovered and then contracted it again. I was actually considering a 4x4 such as a Navara as my primary purpose of this car (as in the reason I am upgrading) is because my dog is destroying the back of my car but dog cages in a Ute make the tray useless so a wagon won out.

I'm sick as a dog right now but that'd be great if I could have a look in the near future. zei, the track would mostly just be for fun. Not going for great times or anything, just a way to legally have some fun with my car I was looking at this: http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/privat...id=121B0AA05203 But they bloke didnt respond with a VIN yet. I think woodgrain is one of the most ugly things you do put in a car but I saw some carbon fibre replacement pieces (or was that for the m35) but regardless, it's an easy fix. Also asked him if he'd be willing to take it to a mechanic of my choice and again, no response. Bis-e-bee, they don't respond to emails so I doubt they'll change it. I emailed asking a few questions and got no response so when I have the cash in hand I'll just visit them. I'm still wary as the prices they have seem to be lower than average. --- I think I muddled this post, sorry about that. For some reason I am dizzy as hell and can't think straight. Yay for the flu.

Ahh, and given the sunshine coast has been raining almost as much as it did back in NZ lately handling in the wet should be a priority, also considering a move to the snowy mountains so it could be beneficial there. Thanks, decision made. Auto it is (and subsequently AWD).
-
Yes, I will be heading to tracks but that'll just be for fun and to get my skills up a bit - nothing serious which probably matches the majority of those who head to tracks Won't be doing too much modding, just the basics. Already killing myself over the decision to spend money as I am saving for a home deposit so I want to make sure I fully understand what I am buying, not a big car person as of yet. I do like cars, but it's hard to get enthusiastic over a falcon...

Ahhh, I didn't even look at the interior picture I couldn't find any references to RS Four manuals but I just assumed their listing would be correct. My question stands though, are my two points correct?
-
G'day guys, Main points I can find are:- AWD: Slightly less power delivered due to losses. RWD: Slightly faster assuming you don't spin the wheels. Am I missing anything else important? Looking @ this and it's a manual, and afaik all manuals are RWD? It's a terrible colour but it's cheap so if it's in decent condition it won't be a bad deal from what I can gather. http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Automotive/U...ternalHotlink=1

Can someone with the later version of FAST run: NM35 306718 and NM35 304456 Thanks in advance.

Oops, wrong thread. Thanks

*grumbles about wasting 2.2gb of his 100gb on junk* Guess I can help out others! So there is a newer version floating around? The stag I'm trying to search is only a 2001 and this listing said 2005!
-
Guys, I'm trying to use FAST to search a Stag. VIN: 6U90000NM35314956 So I use NM35 then in the second box 35314956 and it fails. Am I doing something incorrectly? I can find skylines...

Thanks guys. No inspection no buy is such a logical thing to do, stupid me Think I'll definitely give them a call on my next day off.
-
Car yards won't mind this? I was under the assumed impression that they wouldn't approve, but if they would then I definitely will do so Thanks for your input

Has anyone here had dealings with Gold Star Autos? If so, can you post the good ones and PM anything to look out for! Did a search and couldn't find much. I don't know to much about cars (and what I do know is limited to Fords) and there aren't many cars outside of dealerships right now, and these guys have two Stageas which judged soley on the drive.com ads, I like the look of. I read somewhere that they'll hoist the car for me but tbh, I don't know what I'm looking at under there. The two cars I am interested in if anyone was interested are: http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Automotive/U...ternalHotlink=1 http://www.tradingpost.com.au/Automotive/U...ternalHotlink=1 Gotta say, not really a fan of the colour of either of them but *shrug*

Can't edit my post but in my searches I came across a 2003 M35 for 16k, that seems a bit less than what most are going for? http://carsguide.news.com.au/site/search/v...p;vehicleType=1 Also a 2001 RS4 which seems to be a bit lower than average: http://www.drive.com.au/used-cars/NISSAN/S...849043&pt=1 Are these cars priced lower than average or has everyone else suddenly jacked their prices up as I started looking? Both of those are through the same dealer.

A 45kg German Shepherd and a small Husky (20kg). The problem dog is the GSD, as he is a working dog (security) and gets hyped up very easy and starts destroying things so he needs to be in a fully enclosed metal enclosure which is why my Falcon Sedan is not suitable. The husky just goes to where your feet go and happily sits there being lazy. Going by those sizes, I think a Stagea will suffice. I can get someone to design a cage that fits in with the seats down and is removable so that way I can use my back seats if I really want to Ohhh, that's a handy measurement. Based on that, I can get a cage constructed without the seats down to secure the GSD, then the Sibe can just sit in the front/back in the leg well or whatever it's called. Now it's time to convince myself this is more practical than getting a ute

G'day, Is there anyone on the Sunshine Coast who would be willing to let me have a look in the back of their Stagea? I'm possibly interested in a ~2000 RS4 but I am having trouble visualising the boot and I am only going to get one if I can fit dual dog enclosures in the back (I don't need rear seats) - a cargo barrier won't be suitable At this stage it's only a "maybe" as I'm considering utes as well but Stageas... Well, who wouldn't want one? So possibly I wont need to bother you, but possibly it would be handy!

Nuts being loose is scary! My sisters B/F borrowed my wheels for a day once, put all the wheels on and forgot to tighten them back up. When I noticed a funny noise I got out and looked and all 5 nuts were within 1/2 a turn of coming off! I was on a highway as well, so loosing a wheel would NOT have been nice.

Happened all the time when I was delivering pizza. One time a bunch of kids sat in the middle of the road and wouldn't move, granted I knew them and we have history they just wouldn't move so I choose the biggest gap that the car would get through - problem is his hand was in the way. Warned him - he didn't move. Went over it. Coming out they held big palm tree branches infront of the car??? WTF? As if I care if dominos car gets scratched? People always used to ride on the road and not get out of the way thinking they were hell funny.

Just don't bother with rears. Combine the price you wanted to spend on them and just get fronts. Check out the lower end of the Boston Acoustic gear.
