  4. Is that one of those cheap bars that weighs 6kg? Years ago the first bar I bought was from Amart AllCrapAndOverPricedSportsGearGuaranteed, and it bent...in half with 120kg on it. Hope it doesn't turn out to be a waste of money Dan.

Just keep chipping away doing lots of squat volume around 80-85% 1RM and add weight/sets/reps when you hit targets like 5x5 etc so you're continually increasing the stress, this way you maintain form and don't injure yourself, and you're using heavy enough weight to stimulate growth. You're a novice squatter going by the weights listed so it's just going to take some time to build the strength. If in doubt squat, then squat some more

In Bigger Stronger Faster documentary, they said a lifter on steroids could eat crap, go out partying/drinking every night etc, not get much sleep, and still surpass a dedicated natural lifter who ate well, slept well etc. That's how good the recovery effects of AAS are, according to BSF doco. That's a pretty freakin huge advantage...

  19. Used to get tonsillitis bad when I was very young, I think dairy used to contribute a lot to it, anyway had them removed, glad I did but that operation is not a nice experience. I remember after the op waking up from the aesthetic and then shortly after vomiting up so much blood that went into my stomach during the surgery. Then a few days after I went home the stiches broke and it started to haemorrhage so back to the hospital. Glad all that's behind me, would hate to get them out as an adult but the surgery techniques have probably improved heaps in the last 20 years.
