  2. ok first of all i love yah picture has a lot of style , and too your question about features of a hi-flowed turbo ........ LAGGY AS F*#K!, hehe well from past experience they tend to be laggier than the bigger ones , but visual looks ok from the out side you usually tend too see a manufacturers name on the commpressor side of the turbo EG= XTR. ok other than that its all internals ok you will find that the compressor side of the turbo ( or the induction side ) the mouth of this side will be very thin like about 2 mill think not thick at all .... std there round about 4 mill thick ok you will visually see the machine marks along the throught of the compressor side , this will be the only way too tell if its been hi flowed , well if you wanna take the turbo off and check out the exaust side well there will be a faair bit of the out let taken out too and maby even a bigger actuator valve and shutter. anyway if u want more info just ring up GCG turbo chargers they will give you the run down on what differences there are but ive given u most of them .......

Good price i reckon you wuld get a 32 fair condition with a running engine for 10 if u hunt melbourne is the place too search for cheap cars...... you would get a great looking 32 less engine and box for 10 ...... just make sure you get the turbo version of the 32 due too brakes and diff difference too much hassel if you dont get the turboed version

Yeh i had an 97 model for my first 180 and yes they look the part yes that model has the black top in it and singular rear tail lights and different body kit delux version has sun roof . im hunting for a set of Version X rear tail lights for my new 180 as i could never get over the style they bring to the car ...

Realy depends what yah waste gate is set at ... your waste gate spring is the decider on how low it will go ... as for the BOV valve activating under no boost , well natural pressure is set at 14.7 psi at sea level .... so there will be still pressure in the intake but not above 14.7 psi there for your BOV is set very lightly..... yes your car can be set at 0 psi and yae it would perform just as good as a non turboed version of your engine but due too the low compression of your engine due too the turbo there would be no great power figure and it would be low on torque, there for having too accelerate more too assiste the torque meaning you would use a bit more fuel than with having the turbo boosting at the first place ......just set the turbo around 5-7 psi and you will still get the torque and fuel efficiency you want ....... just get two stage boost controller i prefer the Greddy profec B as its simple and does a great job for cruzin and race set up ..... as too HIPSI's message yes the computer is set too a standard boost lv around 7-10 psi for most std turbo cars ....you can divert this process by a boost controller but you may upset the computer's settings by doing so its all in the computer set up ... i know for a fact most cars will allow you too set boost pressure to whatever cause most std computers rely on the Actuator Valve for there boost readings and do not actually set the boost them selves .......only after market Computers can have an override for boost pressure .... but just remember that the Spring in the actuator or waste gate is the monitor for boost pressure you will not drop lower than the spring pressure rating but vacume makes boost bressure rise .

Well ..... mine was my mates WRX impressa evoII.... scared the shit outa me ....hehe after that all i caould vision was a turbo import .. so i got me a nice 97 180sx white with yellow interior .....but got hit up the ass at 100klm pu tme in hospital then after all that i bought another 180 wich i own still and love it ....!
  11. hehe ....i know what u mean there why (why toe a truck with a mini) my saying is . if your gonna do a build do it right ..... dont skimp out on the later bits it might cost you less in the build but in the long run itll cost u time and more money too have it fixed .....

I need too know weres the best price around for roll cages , my car is at the point im gonna need a roll cage due too ANDRA regs and need to know pricing and the like .... i will strip the interior myself ..... its just people said there around 1500 plus for a six point and i think thats a bit pricy but im not sure .... im looking for a 6 point roll cage in moly ....For a 180 sx any help would be appretiated ...

  15. phhht .......CS_180 , what are you talking about man , if your talking about the dyno day well nothing much at all around 167rwkw... hehe.... APHEX_ true indeed about the gearbox prices but as i was trying too point out .... you dont go buying a 10sec GT-R thinking itll drive all day long with nothing wrong ... u gotta have the bank budget too fork out for these things, i rebuilt my engine and it cost me 10k just for rods, pistons and a computer ... lucky i could do all the mechanical work my self or it would have been more ....... i suggest maby going to pulse engineering and gettng the box chemically frozen ....just a thought .

Hey Joel ... all seams all right just for a few things ..... 1 . why not go a copper head gasket std head gaskets cant hold high boost pressure ..... ? 2. a compression ratio of 7.1 is perfect for turbos just think of it as the more air and fuel you can cram into the cylinder the more bang you get ...... my car runs on around 7.5.1 comp and loves the boost ... and remember the higher the comp ratio the less off a wack youll get when u hit boost itll more feel like a v8 at 9.1 ...... just letting you know due too experience in the engineering side ...

  19. hehe what do u want performance or driving pleasure. you will only get a little bit of induction roar and it would help your overall power increase by a lil .... plus the induction whistle and chatter sounds awsome... hehe cha cha cha ...
  20. well i have a set of 285 with a 8.5 lift HKS cams in my car... get the cams . but i would first get a set of adjustable cam gears cause u will need them with the cams for best performance ... i average about a 20kw increase at the rear on peak power with slight increases on my gears .... but too save your money i reckon for the mods u got just get a set of gears i reckon u will find a happy amount of untapped power under your belt

  23. well by my nissan engine left is advanced right is retarded i think...um just too make sure start the motor undo the crank angle sensor and twist it the higher the revs the more advanced its getting the lower the revs the more retarded its getting ...

  25. mmmm each has there own ideas of what cars should and should not do .... i just build my car to perform on and off the track personally .... i couldnt build a car too have it sit there and gather dust .... hell no ..... ill be out there scaring my self around or down a track hehe bet that S@^T !!!!!
