I am planning on installing a rb30 motor in a van without the computer set up I have an inlet and carby and a dizzy of a patrol so the engine doesn't need a computer can anyone tell me what auto had vaccum controlled changing and an overdrive which didn't need the computer to operate. And also advice on the strenght of these autos even better does anyone have one for sale thanks crowsss

Hello I'm after a few parts out of a patrol version of a rb30 the parts are 1/ a dizzy (non computer) 2/ a carby 3/ a sump ( reservoir at rear) failing this a complete motor with the above parts would be ok I live in Adelaide so if parts have to be freighted cost will obviously favour individual parts thanks crowsss

did the insurance company offer you a buy price to keep your car for parts sometimes this doesn't cost much compared with the bits you can salvage if you do this and want to sell any let me know

I am putting a rb30 into an old bedford van what auto is recomended are boxes from turbo set ups stronger than non turbo if so would I have to put a different convertor than a turb configered one to allow for the extra weight and non racing car revs I would be reaching the van will be running on lpg so the innjection aspect will not come into play besides I am going to use a manifold of a patrol motor and use a carby to avoid having the hassles of a computer can anyone tell me what wiring would be needed from the auto I know the overdrive is electric but will the auto change with out a computer thanks for any help as I need all I can get CROWSSS

Excuse my ignorance about the technicalities of this auto I gather its a 4 speed out of a turbo skyline I have a rb30 motor I an putting in a Bedford van and because of the extra weight have been told a turbo box being stronger would be better does this box bolt straight up to the rb30 motor also is the convertor made for higher revs so I would have to replace it with a non turbo configeration If you can answer these questions it would be much apprectiated finally I live in Adelaide so freight would be involved so bo you have any idea of dimensions and weight of crated item and even better approx freight costs thanks Crowsss
