Any Ideas Please?

I have a R32 Skyline and lately it has been making a rattling noise at night. The noise comes in once the turbo kicks in or once i put my foot about halfway. I can rev the engine all the way out without the noise coming in if i give it a small amount of acceleration. The rattling sounds like its coming from the turbo but im not sure. The rattling also gets faster with the more acceration i give it or the more revs its doing. The rattling noise sounds like metal. During the day my car is fine and I hear no noises at all. During the night the noise starts but the car still performs perfect. There has also been some nights where there is no noise as well. I thought it might be a bolt loose somewhere in the engine or something becasue it still perfroms well and it doesnt make this noise during the day and only sometimes at night. Any ideas would be Great!! Thanks Matt

Hey, When im taking off quick and putting my foot down the back end starts jumping all over the place. its hard to get it on the ground and to make it stop bouncing. I have to keep taking my foot off the pedal and putting it down again. Does anyone know why the car isnt keeping on the ground. Could it be suspension or diff or something?? Thanks!

Hey, When i bought my R32 it had a standard exhaust and it looked really small. I would say it was about 2 inch.

Nah i havent heard pinging before. Yeah i guess it could sound like a can or marbles, lol. What would that mean?

Hi, Im getting a Shuttering or rattling noise when my turbo kicks in. This usally only happens at night but sometimes happens in the day. I can usally drive it all day with no problem and then the next day the noise is back. It doesnt affect the performance of the car, just makes a noise like something is loose. This noise could be really loud one day and the next day i wont hear it at all. Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks Matt

Hi, The bracket which my airpod screws onto has broken up and i was just wondering where I could buy a new one? Would a place like Autoone or something have that or would i need to go to the nissan dealer. Im not sure if that bracket comes on the car standard with the airbox. Thanks! Matt

Hi, My car was misfiring at high revs the other week so I took out the coils sealed them up and put in new NKG Copper spark plugs. (This happened after I put the boost controller on, which is now off). This fixed my misfire problem when driving but made my car idle really bad. I reset my ECU but it didnt make it any better. My car runs fine all the time when driving and never misfires, but when i am at idle the car is missing really bad! Does anyone know what this could be? Thanks Matt

So does anyone know what spark plugs to use in a R32 Skyline?

Hi, Today im going to pull out my coils and seel them up as my car is misfiring. I found that heaps of people had this problem and it is because of a hair line split in the coils. I also want to change my spark plugs at the same time. I got told to get NGK copper plugs or NGK Platinum plugs but im not sure which are best? I was just wondering which spark plugs would be the best for my car? Thanks Matt

Just wondering if anyone wants to swap there Rear Bumper, Boot and Rear Lights from a R32 2 door for the rear bumper, boot and rear lights from a R32 4 door. To swap the lights over you need to change the rear bumber and boot. The lights, bumper and boot are the same sizes just different shape around the lights. My R32 4 door is Silver and the body and lights is in very good condition. Thanks

I had a Turbotech Boost Controller which i just put on the other day, so i removed that to see if it helped. I think it did a bit casue now its running standard boost. It is still happening but only sometimes. I have a standard fuel pump and running on BP Ultimate. When the car is at idle it doesnt sound like its running smooth, sounds like it is missing everynow and then. I think it might be my coil packs or I might need some new NGK spark plugs?

When i reach 5000 revs and i am fully accelerating the car will make a popping noise and jump a bit. The noise could happen once or could happen 4 times up to around 6000 revs. When it makes this noise the car jumps a bit but not much at all. Could this be the spark plugs or something else? Thanks

ok, so should i just keep screwing it down until i get like 12psi?

TurboTech Manual Boost Controller. Just have to turn a screw to change the boost. Might take awhile to configure

Hey just tryed it out, first time the car felt slower but it still read 10psi, didnt understand that? Turned it up a bit more and it was still reading around 10psi. If i have the controller lower than the standard boost will the wastegate still do 10psi minimum?

I got my Boost Controller today. Took a few days but came in perfect condition and with good instructions. Just waiting for my Boost Gauge now. How long can the tubes be if you extend them to mount the controller somewhere?
