  1. that would look tidy!
  2. Hey Gman that's pretty much the same sort of power it made before you got it aye, I wonder if the previous owner had something similar happening and that's why it never went further? Might pay to give him a call (if your on speaking terms) From memory he had said it made 400kw @1.4bar but didnt go any further cause it was a "quick" tune, im guessing they had a similar prob and that's why it was never pushed any further? Since then it has had a proper rebuild, more fuel system added and the ignition upgrade so you can take that part out of the equation. T04Z should be up to the task. Seems flow related so exhaust or manifold???
  3. Here is a pic of a RB30DET using a Neo 25 Head Rb26 Cam covers and the Rb25 backing plate and no VCT
  4. Well glass isnt gonna be clear but you could glass over the metal one and then paint it wouldnt be too hard to do... or just bin the VCT *awaits flamage*
  5. so you would be fine to run with no backing plate if you didnt plan on running a front cover
  6. can you run without the backing plate?
  7. If thats all you wanted to know I would recommend reading the RB25 Dyno results thread should be quite a few ~500hp I think there are even some stock internal 25's that have pushed out 500hp
  8. I haven't heard of anyone running a .63 housing on an RB30 I reckon that would be choking it up a bit Lots of people run the .82 or 1.06 housing in the RB30's though I run 1.06 I think the .82 is the perfect housing for a 25, a friend of mine runs one on a stock 25 with 410hp and is a nice balance between lag/response and the same turbo on Noel (Fineline's) car is cracking over 500hp. If your thinking more along the lines of drift the .63 would probably be quite good as its going to come quicker than the larger housings but at the end of the day there is better turbos out there for your application GT30 frame is probably what you should be looking into but as Kranker said if the price is good chuck it on, should chirp second
  9. fark mang 100mm = street cred!
  10. Sigh we have had this discussion before!!!
  11. Considering you location you cant go past using ERD but yes the jolly green giant is going on holidays soon If your after dyno tuning Godzilla have made a very good name for themselves producing some awesome cars of late. APC leave a lot to be desired. Good luck.
  12. plain and simple buddy but you gotta cough up the cash - if you can source any parts second hand im sure your mate will be there to give you a hand fixing it but your going to have to get it preped and sprayed by a pro.
  13. here we go again...
  14. I have my launch control set at 3500 and it seems to be a nice compromise between wheel spin and bogging down off the line... Thats in a rear wheel drive though - every car is going to be different so just have a play and work out what feels good in your car
  15. Yeah - you can get a locally made, second to none quality throttle body from somewhere like TBA for $750
  16. ok now that is pron! Would that support up to 500hp?
  17. Epic reply travis - well done! On your carbon mate depending how far gone it is I would use a cutting compound like Farecla G8 and then rub it up with something like meguires gold class If that doesn't get it looking good enough your only option is to get is sanded back and a new coat of clear applied ~$250 - $300 at a panel beater but it will look a million bucks!
  18. I will just remember to take a dump before taking it down the strip!
  19. They will work but are pretty junky... RIPS have pretty reasonably priced TB's send them an email: [email protected]
  20. I think he was joking about the RB30 head
  21. yeah dosent look like very good fitment or one of the hangers broken?
  22. I found out the hard way by chucking my old 25 sump onto the 3L had to pull the sump after the motor was in the car - not fun! Im selling a 30 sump that will fit
  23. Have they got the gold carbon kevlar back
  24. Just Jap do this one for S13/S14 I wonder if a few people put in orders for something this style for R33 they could get them made up and added to their product list, there has been quite a bit of interest for this type of thing on the forums lately...
