Hello ladies, Question for the day, Looking at getting some HKS Cams/cam gears - should I do it with my set up Hopefully i just picked up a HKS Low mount and trust ext. gate to go with my Biago turbo I am getting through Murnane cant remember much about the turbo exactly was initially going the smaller internally gated one but now with the new manifold I will be more than likely doing what slide was selling as a Biago T40 if you can remember what that was. Fairly decent sized turbo so I’m guessing there will be a little lag to contend with Current state: PFC, FMIC, full Exhaust, Adding: Turbo, Manifold, Gate, 740cc Injectors, 040 Pump, Considering: Cams / Cam Gears If need be I will call murnane to get the details of the turbo but as far as I know he basicly will customise the turbo to application And im asking in here cause the forced induction forum is full of wankers and is too messy to navigate/get an answer and i have come to value the oppinions of the regulars of the wasteland Cheers, Dan

spyed RDY60 and NIS34 on logan road 8:15am

that sucks man, I was actually there at that time yesterday! having lunch at that jap noodle place sop or something like that, the whole carark was packed aye. Bloody nightmare to navigate I had some dude revers out almost into me as i was sitting there in a line of traffic he did not look lucky enough i was on my horn quick! Good luck
-
looks great Noel! Congrats on getting it all together cant wat to see the beast in action
-
spotted RDY60 not sure what street it is but i was avoiding the freeway traffic back streeting it to logan road
-
whoops double post not sure how that happened? your on nthside heading to canon hill is it bad that way too? i have been working at redlands bay and had no trafic to worry about for the past 2 years, it has definately got worse since i worked my first job in the city it is basicly crawling from Springwood!
-
Just started a job a wooloongabba how ghey is trafic heading to the city at 8am!!!
-
Spotted a tidy 32 4 door on bryants road lastnight 32CYA Plates - car looks good
-
ok yes I figured so much shane!!!

howly dooley you boys get active at night! ok this is the best I can do for you: Had the car for 6 months, purchased from dodgey import yard. 90,000kms on clock Possibly original timing belt - this worries me! Fully stock trim apart from turbo back exhaust and apexi pod filter Car has always run like shit when cold cofs and splutters when you give it a bit of gas has been known to stall from time to time when accelerating it will sometimes misfire and backfire Has started to use lots of fuel recently On sat night we went for a spin, driving the car hard once it was warmed up was going nice Launched the car from the lights apparently did not feel it had as much go as usual - kept pushing anyway Drove at normal speed for a couple of km Decelerated to a set of lights Engine cut out Refused to start Would not turn over basically just: kik kik kik kik kik pop pop kik kik kik kik pop kik kik kik - pit of smoke coming from exhauste - not puffing out more like smoldering out RACQ Checked: Fuel pump - good Alternator - good Dizzy, Leads - Good (Changed leads last service) Oil good was changed Saturday morn with Royal Purple and KnN Oil Filter Apexi Air Filter was cleaned and re-oiled on Saturday morning - he is woried he put too much oil back in as there is a little dripple of oil in the bottom of the induction pipe - should this be cause for concern? Found the plugs to be soaked in fuel after trying to start it so engine is getting fuel - mabye too much? feels like maybe a computer issue or another mate reckons he snapped his timing belt - this idea was thrown in at around 10pm last night and has not been checked yet, will keep you posted is it normal problem for gtir to run like shit when cold? thats the best I could do as its not my car but I have a decent understanding on how its been playing up! Thanks again markimak!
-
got RACQ out and after the dick head finished his wise cracks about "his 5L this, his 5L that" proceeded to tell us well he cant fix cause its an imported piece of shit... but will have a look he took out the spark plug thats easy to get to and it was drenched in fuel so basically when cranking the motor its pouring in fuel but no bang... Markimak - please help! Im sure you could come out of the closet to work on one last gtir!!!
-
Spotted black 34 on M1 got of at springwood with me didnt get the plates as I was drooling over your rims! (work Equips) sounded tuff aswell!
-
mate of mine has a gtir that runs like a dog at the best of times, we went for a spirited drive on Saturday night and the motor stalled on de-acceleration and now refuses to start. Anybody point me in the right direction of someone who has experience with these things cause everywhere it has been since he has had it have dicked him around. basically looking for an honest mechanic who can work on a gtir
