  1. i got some buttons on my dash just left of my steering wheel (type-M r32 gts-t) and it says spoiler up and spoiler down, however when i press it nothing seems to happen? are these just fake buttons or did type-m's have these and some one disconected em. thx

  2. heya i got a 32 gts-t and the guy who was installing my immobilizer and alarm told me my left hand door locking motor was on the way out. Sure enough few days ago it died. It still makes the sound like its trying but it doesnt make it to lock, gotta hand lock it. Quoted $45 to fix so ill probably just go there. But for a new motor (assuming that it is making the noise) its about $15, if u are intelligent enough you can chuck it in yourself( which i evidently am not) Only difference is mine is a coupe and the lock is next to the handle so it needs to be locked from the drivers side, whilst inside the car

  3. ohh k thanks um i have ordered it but not yet receieved it i just wasnt sure if i should start saving to have it put in by a mechanic or start reading up on it and such. i understand exactly what your saying but the only problem is the whole wastegate thing. Ok i understand how it works and im assuming its an external wastegate and not an internal one, but, well whats it look like :O any pic would be sweet, as i said im useless when it comes to turbo'd cars.

  4. "Pop your bonnet and have a look at how the hose runs from the compressor cover to the actuator."

ermmm runs from the which when into the who what?

My car knowledge is OK as long as the car was made before 1980, and i got nothing on newer cars.

Pics pleaseeeee some one, and do u cut this hose and t-piece it or is it t-pieced already with some other gadget, or is this only 1 of the required lines or..

Sorry i know im useless, i know the basic way newer cars work but i got no first hand experience.

  5. Anyways, so gauge in and it peaks at .7 bar @ 5000rpm(10.00psi), boost kicks in @ 3000rpm. Once it hits 5000rpm it drops off dramatically, at 6000rpm its .55 bar till at red line its at .5 bar (7.00 psi), is a drop that big normal? i can really feel it dropping back once i hit the 5000 rpm to. I have 3 inch turbo back exhaust, on it and will have a pod on in a day or two, was also looking at a $22 boost controller, but.. 2 psi is alot i spose. So is it a timing/maintenance/ecu issue? Any suggestions on what it can be, ill cry if its a turbo recon or something, im 19 and already owe $13000 on a car, cant afford to owe moree

Also another question, this thing develops peak kilowatt at around 6200 rpm right? if boost drops off after 5000 rpm then should i be shifting at peak kilowatts or once i start losing boost

thx in advance, when it comes to turbo's i know nutting :)

  6. hey i cant figure out how to remove the trim around my head unit climate control and all that (i want to get to the wiring on my headunit, to leech for my boost gauge). I did look for quit a while, first like 30 pages, as well as a search, so i need some one to help a lil. I have taken out the ashtray, now what? it doesnt look like u can lever the plastic trim off with a screwdriver, so how do i get it off? thanks.

  7. "umm you wont be able to use the old airbox with a pod, you need to unbolt it. leave the cold air intake in place and look into making your own airbox out of alluminium sheeting.

wouldnt suggest putting it in the guard."

I dont quite understand, do you mean to prevent heat, or to like funnel the air into the filter? Please explain a lil more about the airbox your talking about, im thick as a plank, i did think these thinks were made to be without a airbox, and if i have to make up a airbox for it then i may as well keep the original filter.

  8. cool so i bought a pod filter and the adapter plate for my rb20det powered r32 skyline gts-t. Any way i was just wondering where to install it . Inside the airbox(obviously with the old filter element removed, so that it draws some air from the old cold air intake piping)? Or totally remove the airbox and having it sitting where the airbox was?(or will that be to hot) Or make up some really long pipe and have the filter down near my front right guard where my cold air intake is?

Any way any help is appreciated, i tried searching but couldnt find much on 32, only on 33.

    thanks :)

  9. excellent, thanks, saves me getting autobahn to install it ($150)

1 last question, I know that some cars have an empty port in the fuse box, for an accessory, does the 32 gts-t have this spare port? Or any other suggestions where to wire one from? Im not keen on wiring it from the ignition, and would probably struggle to find the wire anyway

    Thx in advance

  10. OK WELL, i went to the autosalon and bought a boost gauge, (cheapy, was $90) One of those ones with 7 colors and such, reading is in BAR. Anyway i was wondering if any one has a picture of What exactly the "manifold vacuum hose on car" is? Is it that same pipe that would go from your tappet cover to your carburettor? (if i actually had a carburettor) Erm would it go into some kind of fuel injection manifold or something? Cut the pipe and insert the T-Piece? (i have a r32 gts-t type M with a rb20det) Pictures would be soo helpful, i know very little about newer engines, besides the basic workings.

I have attached a picture, which i took like 2 hours drawing up (no camera), which is a replica of that enclosed with the gauge. I cant understand what the frig to do with the orange and yellow wires that go into that parallel thingy with the fuse looking things and the capacitor like watsit. I rang the guy who sold me it and he said hes not sure, but just to wire the orange and yellow wires up to my headlights, thepurple to my battery and the black to ground. Im worried about doing that because i dont wana blow anything up.

any help on either of these areas would be appreciated, because, well im know nutting :ermm:
