  1. I dunno how you could be spinning in 3rd or 4th with 280rwhp mate. I have cheapy nangkang 245s on the arse of mine and it wouldn't spin even in 2nd. Stab the clutch yeah sure you get a bit but wouldn't 'spin'. That's with 270rwhp in a lighter car.
  2. LOL you get 2.5 sec 60 footer? I ran 108mph thats my pb so far. With stock clutch and bald stockers on the arse lol. Plan on smashing that quite soon. Went out hunting for studs today, found correct thread (M10x1.25) but they were all like 10mm too short. Have to make a trip down to Nissan tommorrow and get em all there. New washers and everything i guess? Have a thread guy coming out tommorrow so if all goes to plan i should have the turbo on yee haa
  3. Ooh shit yeah!! I've done 13.1 with 2.1 60 footers on 200rwkw so i'll shit a 12 in when she's all done! Yeah i know i should change em all, but i just seems like a waste to throw away 10 good studs lol. I should really do em all eh? So undecided, not worried about the cost just the extra time and effort to change em all. Might ring some numbers, see what they charge to replace all studs
  4. Yeah got a couple of mobile mechanics numbers, gonna ring around tomorrow see what prices i can get. Hopefully it can be done tomorrow (sunday) so turbo n shit goes on then straight off to get dump pipe made. Injectors and z32 in, plus hyper single yeeeee haaaa
  5. Haha yeah Gotta get these bastards out, holding up my install here. Read all about the ez out process but knowing me i'll snap the prick in there. Took off my screamer/front pipe and dug out my hks ss front pipe so just gotta get 15cm or so custom stainless instead of half mangled mild steel. All coming together nicely.....
  6. Well it appears i DO have broken studs! LOL Had a bit of a tinker today and actually looked in the hole and bam, broken studs. So anyone got a number for mobile guy to rip em out? Fark all in the yellow pages out this way. Started to pull the other studs out, got to like the 4th one and put em back in haha. They all came out easy so i just put em back in for now. Yes i know. All good but everything will be in ready for next tune, 260+rwkw here we come
  7. Still not really keen on changing 10 studs when all i have to do is screw two in. No doubt i'll snap another 6 or something. Not sure what to do, just gotta get these two studs and the gasket then she's on...
  8. Jesus......would say 'do a search' but i don't think that'll help you lol.... NO YES YES NO
  9. Hmm yeah i guess i should. Whats the easiest way of getting them out? Also i need to get the four studs out to replace with longer ones so yeah any advice there appreciated!! Nah they came out eh, could tell coz the washers were loose i was just too lazy to tighten em up haha. So i go to a parts store for studs and nuts etc or nissan to get raped?
  10. Yeah i knew someone would say that, damn. They look alright though? Nuts came off easy an stuff with no wd40. See how i go anyway. Can't wait till the rest of these goodies are in
  11. Haha i thought that myself but to my surprise was easy as! Now i just gotta get two studs for the manifold that screwed emselves out over time and i can start putting the turbo on. Quick question, when i was undoing the bolts for manifold studs one stud screwed right out. Can i just screw that back in and should be fine? Also, do i have to loc-tite any studs when i put em in, for dump flange and turbo to manifold? Probably not but just wanna know for peace of mind.
  12. Whoa whoa, not all at once guys!! I finnaly got it off, farken hell what a job. Got the clip then took another 5mins just to get the dumb hose off. Thanks anyways
  13. Guys, i'm about to take a sledgy to my car. Can anyone tell me how they removed the water line that goes to the back of the head? I got the dumb little bolt holding the bracket at the back, but CANNOT get the little clip thingy where it joins at the head!?!?! It appears to have a bracket coming out to a bolt?? I've heard undoing the lhs cam cover, but the clip is facing towards the brack booster so that'd have no affect regarding room etc.. Someone please help i'm going insane. PM so i can give ya my mobile number....thanks guys
  14. All r33s are in the boot....Time for me to get a new battery as well!
  15. Off topic but i picked up my turbo today from GCG. GT3076r (or GT3037S) with .6 port shroud front and .63 rear, will be getting tuned very soon so will post up results. Compressor looks SEXY!!
  16. Depends on the bov though i think. With my megasonic twin trumpet f**ken bazooka beast never had a problem, 14psi spring and tightened right up. Snaps shut after it vents so no dramas when returning to idle etc. 550km to a tank?? Fark, when i had 200rwkw i'd struggle to get over 350km or so!! Gonna be nasty when she's tuned with the gt3076 and inj's in a couple weeks
  17. I think The Mafia was once molested as a child by an atmo bov or something Certainly has issues with them. I 'borrowed' my megasonic of my sis's wrx, my car never stalled once for over 6 months. It's only when idiots get cheapie ones with piss weak springs that have stalling problems. Though i will be going back to plum back purely for the reason i'm sick of defects!
  18. There is nothing wrong with turbosmarts dual stage, especially their latest range. In saying that, you can't beat a well set-up ebc
  19. Yeah could have a leak somewhere. To get my low boost of .75 i had to set at .5 with 52% duty. That was before i found the hole in cooler pipe though. Also, check to see if your self learn function is stuck on. This can alter your boost duty. Avc-r is a good unit providing everything is running right. On high boost i never had a problem before the hole, would hold 1 bar from 2.8k to 7.2k
  20. If you got a turbosmart, they supply one. If not, go to repco and ask for some heater hose bungs. 3/4 inch i think, round 3 bucks each. Slap that over the metal return pipe.
  21. I had the same thing with mine before i pulled it off the road. First thing, check the reading against a separate boost gauge. Also check along your cooler pipes for any kind of leaks. Failing that, post up your duty and on what boost. Mine used to spike, then settle back to its setting after. Very frustrating. Mine used to spike like a monster to like 1.2bar, then i found out that my cooler pipe had been rubbing away on some metal to the point where there was a 2mm slit in it!
  22. Yer i know that but like i said, my tuner doesn't want me to run the 555s. Said i can run the 740s as they are different. Price is of no concern. Will have to call him up tommorrow and get the low down on the situation.....PM me if ya like to talk further
  23. Yes i know this, that's why i'm asking the questions. Wish i could remember what he said to me lol, he explained a little problem they tended to have. Might be awkward rocking up with nismo 555s after he said not to haha. Dunno what to do?? Should i just buy em and say yeah i'm gonna run with 555s? Or go nismo 740s (i will have close to 300rwkw in the end)?
  24. Hmm thats what i thought but my tuner doesn't want me using them. Just nismo's 555 have certain issues, 740s are fine apparently. He said anything other then nismo 555's. Sards are too much stuffing around and not sure if tomei 555s are the same as nismo. I did have a reason, but forget at the moment. Will ask him again what the prob with them is....
  25. Anyone reccomend an injector other than nismo 555cc?
