  1. Swap the ignitor for a know good one, it's the most likely culprit, particularly if it's always the same cylinder thats stuffed.
  2. I think my rb20 had a 4 pin plug aswell but i never really paid much attention to it. Sorry.
  3. My series 1 had a 4 pin plug. I know what you mean about the wiring diagram, i had one that was definately series 1 as it showed the ignotor but still showed a 3 pin plug on the afm. Of the 3 pins, 2 will run into some sheilding and back to the ecu, the other will be power. The 4th wire is a ground if you have it so you simply have to earth it if you hook into the series 2 loom. I found that it ran back to the earth point at the front of the intake manifold.
  4. There's a cable sticking out of the back of the gearbox if it's cable, or a sender unit with a few wires coming out of it if it's electric I also have a 93 build r32 with cable thats been spitting them out like a mother****er lately. 2 rooted cables in 2 weeks so i changed the cluster.
  5. I have all but the coils packs http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=60447 Cheers Dave
  6. Thanks to everyone who posted and sent pm's. Got one now. Cheers, Dave
  7. There should be a grommet with a bunch of wires running through that you can see if you remove the plastic inner guard. They run under the drivers side guard to the fuse box i think from the dash. Push the end of a bit of coat hanger though it, tape your boost line to it, and you should be right.
  8. You've installed it right. If you have power at the unit and it's connected to the solenoid ok, then it should be working alright. Have you checked the little switch on the back of the unit to see that it's set for an internal wastegate rather than an external gate? Also that you have the gain and ratio set high enough to make a difference. I am running the same unit with out the factory solenoid at about 30 gain and 30 ratio i think and it works fine. Also make sure that it you have the unit running at the possition you have set the boost at (say position 1) and not another position with no settings or the off position or something like that.
  9. I've got a few bits and pieces available after my conversion. RB20 CAS x 2 $75 ea RB20 Crossover pipe inc BOV $40 RB25 Crossover pipe inc BOV $40 SOLD RB25 Power steering pump, pulley slightly bent $20 RB25 AC compressor $75 RB20 Water pump, approx 20k old $80 RB25 Turbo, very good condition $400 SOLD RB20/25 Oil lines $10 each RB20 Stock Dump and front pipe $30 RB25 Stock Dump pipe $15 RB20 Stock clutch and flywheel $100 RB20 stock injectors $10 ea RB20 ecu only $80 RB20 afm $80 including plug if needed SOLD RB20 Short motor, suit rebuild or will strip for parts. She definately needs new rings considering the compression when i pulled it out I might have a few more bits and pieces lying around for the RB20, just ask if it's not listed Cheers, Dave
  10. Price drop on turbo, now $400
  11. Preferrably the later one but i'm not too picky. Prefer in Sydney so i can pick up this week if possible. Cheers, Dave
  12. Yeah, there are marks on the bottom left of the picture, a bit hard to make out in the photo, i held the camera too close
  13. Pics of the cam gear for anyone who's interested Injectors sold
  14. Injectors are sold, thanks everyone for your interest. Cheers Dave
  15. I've run them for 6 months in an rb20 with no problems, it all come down to tuning. What i did notice was at idle and low revs on high vacuum i needed to add a bit of extra fuel for the car to run smoothly, otherwise no problems. They are all single pintle top feeds after all. If we were talking rb25's it'd be a different story The main thing is that they are cleaned and flow tested before installation.
  16. Only if you modify the key way or fit series one cams.
  17. I'm with nemz on this one. R32 GTS-t all the way. the lines at the front end look so much cleaner without the flared guards, lowered with some rims that almost fit flush with the guard, really nice. RB20 is a nice little engine too, not enough torque though (not that i have that problem anymore). R32 four doors look the shit as well. R34 GTR is a bloody aggresive looking bastard though, definately my second choice
  18. Your talking about the alloy mounting bracket that sits behind the cam cover right? I think your best bet would be import wreckers, it may even be possible to use an rb20 or 26 bracket.
  19. It could just be me, but i have never seen an r32 gtst without 4 pots front and twin pot rears or the 16 inch alloys. The main difference is the front bar, rear pods and sideskirts. Mine has no skirts and a fairly ordinary front bar, i know it isn't an Mspec because it has no body kit but it has every option that people claim are Mspec.
  20. No prob, hope it all works out for you.
  21. Sorry i took so long, i've been away for a few days. JL, I'll try and get ahold of a camera and get pics up in the next couple of days, stupid bastard that i am i left my camera at work. Hopefully have something up on Monday. fire_bringer_, They wont drop into an RB25. I've just upgraded to an rb25 myself which is why i am selling them. Cheers, Dave
  22. I have 6 x RX& 550 cc injectors, cleaned about 15000ks ago, been in car since. Plugs modified to fit up to rb20 injector plugs. High Impedence, pink top. Will have them out of the engine tomorrow all going well and will get a photo if anyone wants to see em. $350 Cheers Dave
