  8. Ok have been motivated to get my old car painted for new season. Base color has been done but spomser wants flames on the car ...something to do with the girls new uniforms :-) so which color out of the 3 concepts do you think.
  9. Not sure that you will need to go to new brakes just yet. What type of tyre are you running? if you are running a street tyre then your best sticking with the standard caliper. Cant comment on the DBA rotors as i have never used them. There is solid advise in the comment above best fluid you can afford, and more ducting which i must say was the difference mine fading and not. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...ducts&st=20
  10. yep will get a pic with it sitting in the sun then we will see how bright it is :-)
  11. Yer its not bad but the pic really doesnt show how bright it is. Lets see how it looks in direct sunlight i think it will be notable at least :-)
  12. there is a whole gaggle of hoses under the plentum and if one is starting to leak then the others wont be far behind.
  13. Well car went into paint booth last night under coat grey and came out a very bright orange! Bonnet, boot and body kit will be done in black and shoul dbe done in the next day or so.
  14. Lol might not win evey race but i am the most popular car in the pits for some reason!
  15. You like the tyres huh........ then your really gunna like the pit crew who change the tyres!
  16. This thread has spurred me to get my old car painted up for the upcoming series in Oct. what do you think of the concept design i have had done for the old girl. Not to sure about flames though
  17. The G4 brakes are fine from cold with street or track pads. we come out of pits for the first time with cold brakes on track days and they pull up fine from 130kms
  18. No mate lets answer your questions in order. 1. No just inserting a relay will not increase your voltage to the pump(s). 2. Yes you will have to run cables from your batt to the relay to supply your pump. 3. You will need a 30 amp relay, wont make any more voltage but will be a lot more durable. 4. Your in line fuse can go either before or after the relay, it will not make any difference. And your fuse is not going to worried by voltage, its the amount of current running through your fuse that will melt the fuse if you have a problem. I use a 20 amp fuse for each of my 2 fuel pumps.
  19. Try peter at bonds roll bars
  20. sounds like you need to direct wire you pump. Do a search and you will find reems of info on the subject
  21. not made in China ...........well sorta. I have spoken to the company and they are in Taiwan. Not sure about the suspension bits but the brakes i have are working well even thinking about buying the rear set as well. And i know for a fact that the AP rotors do come in the same size and thinkness as the G4 / K sport, but the PCD for the aluminium bells or hats are not the same. The G4/ k sport bells do not bolt up to the AP 356mm 12 hole rotor, or the other way round. I tried and failed to find a AP rotor to suit. You could use an AP rotor and bell though as long as the bells have the same offset.
  22. I have seen pics where "fred" lowered the radiator about the same amount to fit his CAI
  23. Correct D2, G4 and Ksport are all the same kit. Hell you could even have a skyline down under brake kit if you could get enough people interested to order a hundred or so :-). then name them what ever you feel like. As Duncan mentioned the pads are from a AP 6 piston set up but be aware that these pads do come in different radial depths and the AP pad have been rumored to crack the rotors as the pad sits about 2mm from the outer edge. Not sure if thats the case but it has been mentioned in this forum. Other than the pads i dont think there are many componants that are AP in this package. i have found the track pads for these to be great very simular to DS 3000 in performance. posted a link to a small clip a week or so ago showing my set glowing while doing a track evening under lights. Do search on G4
  24. check the sub frame bushes. any really nasty looking stuff left on the ground recently.
