just finished a track day this morning and brakes again performed great. 4 x 20 minute session 30C no brake fade what so ever

1992 R32 GTR. Standard engine standard cams apexi power fc adjustable cam gears 2 degree advance inlet 4 degree retard exhaust Thanks SK nismo 600cc injectors (new) twin bosch 910 fuel pumps 2560-5 garret turbos (new) HKS split dumps ported stock exhaust manifolds FMIC hard piping kit twin RB 25 AFM pods no cat 90mm exhaust system no brand names atmo bov Dyno run was done at .9 bar as boost controller didnt arrive in country in time. Had higher runs but settled for a fatter AFR up top. [

yep all at .9 bar so i still have a bit to play with i would think just flat lined at about 7200 when wastgates opened. We did higher runs for what it was worth but we add some more fuel just to be safe and have AFR's mid 11's. BIG improvement came from adjusting the cam timing was about 40 to 50 more HP depending on how hot the car was on its run. But just so much more agressive on ramp up really big difference mid range.

Hey i just had mine off to check and seemed ok to me and i have the same kit! I was worried there for a minute. Sad to say but i guess i dont drive as hard as the other guy :-)

Day 15! i was down to the last can of beer i had used in vain in my turbo fairy trap. The very last can, nothing else but the makers name and that was written in french and partly obsucured in blood from my torn up hands. Thought i better wipe some of the blood away with an old rag before putting it out of its misery. And bugga me if the beer can genie didnt pop out offering me 3 wishes. Wish one, please please put the turbos back on me car, poof .....all done! Wish two, Return all the beer the barstard turbos fairies drank while demolishing my engine bay. Poof ...........full fridge! Wish three, stock up the other fridge so i can at least temp the pressure plate pixies to come and replace my clutch as it aint gunna hold on too long with 455 AWHP after dyno session today. WHOO HOO

correct i did increase the boost and first few runs were fine less than 20. Was only when i was late on a gear change during a session and hit the rev limiter ( engine light flashed at that time ) that i had a high knock count. pleanty of fuel as the wide band never got over 11.5

Guys, last track day i lowered the rev limit to 7400 as i was running 1 bar boost up from .85 on the standard GTR R32 turbos ( being replace now :-) ) But i did notice a jump in the knock count and i was wondering if hitting the rev limiter could also make the ECU consider that misfire as knock. any theories?

You just had to bring the bolt cretins into this didnt ya, but i had already throught about them and got them covered. Every one knows if you hang full cans of WD40 around the shed it sort of works like garlic and vampires. The garlic bit worked on the missus so i have high hopes on the bolt cretin cure.

is where i live :-) Right latest update! left a trail of beer cans half way down the street hoping to lure the turbo fairies back to finish the job. Had to go out and rescue my cans from the kids next door, cheeky little buggers asked if i had any cold ones instead. This time reset my cunningly devised trap after dark as we all know that the turbo fairies do their best work in the dark, waited inside until i heard the cans rattling about. Bolted outside to catch me a fairy, and i found the biggest uglyest brute of a fariy i have every seen. Thought it was the missus out picking up cans again but was just a hint to much facial hair to be her... was close though. Now can anyone answer me, as i know the turbo fairies can rip stuff off BUT can the put it back together before thursday next week for the next track day.

Currently in a life or death battle with harmonic balancer which is stopping me getting to the bloody water pump that needs to be changed. And not surprisingly have not seen nor heard any turbo fairies since i ran outta beer. Toyota tercel is looking better every day.

Could any tell me the size socket i need to remove the bolt from the end of the crank shaft. Need to remove harmonic balancer to replace tiiming belt.

Yep the crank pully assembly i know its larger than the 24mm as i have tried that size.

Yes they are full slicks i managed to find about 15 sets of part worns. I did mention that in the posts above as i said there is a whole lot of stopping going on when you get on the pedal. Well thats not quite right you do hit a higher top speed as your corner speed is improved. And you are on the brakes harder but for a shorter time frame as they just hang on sooo much better than the semi slicks through corners which allows you to carry more speed. But all in all i would think that full slicks are harder on the brakes not by much but a little. I am sure that other will have something to say about it as well, but i am happy with the performance of these brakes. I have them and i have used them a few times now and i have had no problem.

As requested, but forgive the rusty strip on the inside of the rotor as i should have painted it before i put them on we have huge humidity here and everything rusts.

Well not gettin into a pissing match about who's fairies are better coz mine took 3 days to get the bloody things off. tell your mate there will be a flight ticket for him to come to Dubai and put my new units back on plus water pump, cam gears, timing belt etc etc.. And he can take the missus back with him as i have learnt to pick up my own empty beer cans. i am at the end of my teather and i think i am losing it....for example today i was passed by a toyota tercel and i thought ( 15 nano seconds only ) i should just buy one of those and be done with it I need help! i mean all the warning signs are there and if i dont get this sorted i fear i will end up driving a family truckster please list your simpathetic thoughts below to cheer me up.

Mad032, please let me know when you are going to attempt this utter screaming B#$%&*d of a job i will fly back half way accross the world to watch, and bring my lot of pissed up fairies and the missues ( who has been returned ) to clean up after you. Just for the pleasure of watching you trying to undo the the oil drain from the cartridge. aphid, a GTST is a walk in the park compaired to a GTR at least you can see your target!

Sorry i cant tell you excatly as i had to have them freighted to Dubai and it was just the one price, but the figure above would be close without the freight. Speak to just jap they supplied them, and it was 5 months ago so not sure of current price.
