Could some one please post the part number for the whiteline rear subframe alinement kit for the R32 GTR. I think its the following but would just like to confirm KCA 349. regards
-
Ok i have just worked out that i now have leaking rear sub frame bushes. It would seem that the whiteline sub frame alinement kit is the quickest solution, does anyone have the kit number for a R32 GTR please so i can order them. regards

Have just notice a black type of grease leaking from the underside of my car. Stange part is that its leaking out about 40 cm in front of the rear CV joint. The cv boot is perfectly dry and not a spot of grease on the inside of the wheel. What else has grease in it in this location as it seems very strange?

What Causes Rotors To Crack?
tacker replied to Abo Bob's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Well my G 4 discs are working ok and i think the material in the disc must be ok as i washed the car and most times i used to get rust form on the old discs but not any more for some reason. So i would say they are made of a better material than the older discs, or the heat treatment is better. Still have another 300kms to go for bedding in and then we will see how they stand up on a track day. -
Just got mine as well and i must say they are quite well made i was surprised. Installation instructions are just a little strange but easy enough to work through. Had my old ones off and new items on in about 2 hours. About the only real issue was the best way to secure the brake line so i got some P clips and used those check that the line was not rubbing anywhere and went out and ran them in. First off i was not too impressed, didn't feel much better than the standard items. So let them cool dowm completely as instructed and when for another run 3 hours later and talk about diferent, big improvement after they had cooled completely and used again, not sure why though. Can feel the pressure of the shoulder straps pushing back at me when giving the brakes a good push now.

What Causes Rotors To Crack?
tacker replied to Abo Bob's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Nope always do 2 cool down laps without touch brakes if i can help it, set the stop watch at the time we leave the garage and start the cool down laps at 15 minutes. And i have 2 ducts to each front wheel so i know they are getting plenty of air to cool them, i didnt have any brake fade and i didnt feel the pulse from the crack until the next day after getting it home. Still it would have to be stronger with the curved vain design as it would have to crack the vain as well as the rotor which is not the case with the K paw design. -

Wonder if the K paw idea is causing these cracks? If you look down the inside of the rotor you can see a straight path inbetween the K paw sections that joins both sides of the rotor together. Not sure if it would cause the problem but if you add the heat that a good track session will generate this just has to be the weakest section. If you look at a curved vain type design the vain all over lap so there is none of these straight line oportunites, I did in the end crack my RDA k paw rotors, but only after the worse possible treatment, and they cracked in the straight line area right between any of the k paw connections. -

R32 GTR front calipers with new bendix ultimas and new nismo braided steel brake lines going for 250$ PM if interested.

Mate i run project Mu level 900 pads on the front and bendex ultima on the rear of my R32 and i dont have any problems with the fronts locking up. In fact they stop quite well, even had my mate do some laps and he thought they were spot on for some standard brakes. Not quite as good as his Lambo but and i quote " not f*%kin bad considering".

Try bonds roll cages

And if you are going to get a used KT engine check the piston size as it may be up into its last size piston and then its a new barrel. And make sure it is a sellect barrel or you are going to be a few hp down. If you can get it get very low port timing and close splits in the two port timings
-
Mate you might struggle with the KT 100 engine better to go with electric start engine or get this one converted. I am currently driving a 32 HP Biland twin cylinder 250cc 4 stroke and they are great fun or the smaller but stronger rotary engine which is 52 HP and 180 kg weight kart and driver plenty of brown pants moments in that little beast

Guys, check out the Mycron 4 kart data logger will do split times is the track has the magnetic strips in place. It will also do rpm, engine temp, speed and can get options for G force, track mapping etc etc

Ok here is the email address of the gent that i brought my 7 point cage from Sukhbir Singh [info@hallyauto.com] And i have to say the cage was quality and was a perfect fit. Bit of a bugga to fit through the dash but i didnt really worry to much as it is a track car. And whats ricer about a cusco cage for safety! not sure where that remark comes from.

A pic for my level 2 CIK suit
-
Karting you will need a level 2 CIK approved suit. And can not be used in a car application as its not fire proof, opposite in fact.
-
Quick extract of the email i reffered to in the post above. Dear xxxxx, In reply to your e-mail of yesterday's date, I confirm that Cusco builds "self-made" rollcages in accordance with 253. 8.1 - 8.3 Appendix J. For your reference, their website address is " http://www.cusco.co.jp/english/e_cont.html ". I hope this information would be helpful for you. Best regards, -- Fumihiko OBAYASHI JAF Motorsport

Guys, i have only just finished studing the FIA rules regarding bolt in cages. I have even got Correspondence from the J.A.F who are an affiliate member of the FIA, which means that they can approve cages for FIA international events. The Cusco bolt in cage ( with a straight A pillar ) has this approval from the JAF so it is a FIA aproved International event cage due to the JAF being an affiliate FIA member. But in saying this it might not meet CAMS approval for local events. Which makes very little sense to me, so i could theoretically run this cage in a FIA GT International event but not in a CAM club day. go figure

That will do cheers SK

Guys could you please tell me what is considered safe with regards to air / fuel ratio for a NA engine regards

Just Jap Brake's & Ap/alcon
tacker replied to SLY33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I spoke to Just jap on these and the pistons are made in Japan so they should be of fair quality. And Ap pads should speak for themselves, but i am not sure if the hats are made of alum or steel. The only concern i would have is the quality of the disc itself. -
Issue With Brakes, Can Anybody Help?
tacker replied to nuffsaid's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Still the hoses maybe pulsing when pressure is applied giving a soft feel simple and not overly costly to do. -
Brought them in from Japan over the internet

Not sure what g/b stands for but yep level 900 on the RDA with lots and lots of ducts and they work well.
