Must be a stock ECU then merlin, which if what i read and my limited brain power. Would i be right in saying the RB 25 AFM having a larger area would induce a leaner fuel mixture as the ECU would be mapped for the smaller GTR items. Therefore with a standard ECU and their rich mapping it should be a some where in the ball park, again it needs to be checked if i ever get the F%$#ing speedo 6 weeks now sinse ordering.
-
Could you guy take a look at the pic and let me know if this sia standard ECU as i have never looked inside any others before.
-
Nope they are green and 80mm id so i reckon they wil be from RB 20. Which is ok just a long as they are calibrated to run on a 5 v signal. I will then have the air / fuel ratio checked ( hopefully ). just a question i noticed their was a K band trim on the ECU would i be right in saying this is for adjusting the fuel. Regards
-
No the AFM are 80mm i measured ID thats why i thought they were QF45, but they do fit into the rubber hose i assume that the hose is standard

Merlin, I will make that the first this i do when i get to install the new speedo. I have no chance of tracking down the old owner as it was brought from a huge import yard, about 10,000 cars there. But now that is mention it run like crap for the first few hours but came good after that. Could that be a piggy back ECU in learning mode, as i know these AFM were installed after i showed interest in it. Could i be that lucky to re istall the RB20 AFM if it was mapped for them ?
-
Merlin, thanks for the help i really do need it. No is has 2 of the buggers still in the orginal positions i would hazard a guess. The car pulls like a train and to date it has not given me any problems that i know of. But as you say i will try and get the air / fuel ratio checked which is not easy to do over here as no one knows much about these type of cars. Would be heaven if i could get Pfc and have it tuned but its not to be in this part of the world. The ECU looks like its standard to me but the seals have been opened . regards
-
That is a good question! Yes it runs fine but i know these were just put on when i got the car. I think i will just be safe and will get the air / fuel ratio checked later this month as i am still waiting for my 320kmh speedo to show up before i run it again. Are they the correct type to be running? or should i just get other as i dont know if these units are speced to operate in the correct voltage range and it is worrying the crap outta me that they are wrong for the car.

Again sorry for asking but i have noticed that my R32 GTR has what i thought to be QF45 AFM installed on it. I thought that the part number for these is A36-000-P60. When i checked mine it had a part number of A36-000-J60 are these suitable for my car as i have no idea if this could be effecting Air fuel ratio's. regards

What Are The Standard R32 Gtr Turbo Housings
tacker replied to tacker's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
In the cold light of day i think thats exactly what i have on this car. Still i now know that i have the 5 bolt flange dumps, but i guess i would be better off with after market dumps if i go for new turbos. -
What Are The Standard R32 Gtr Turbo Housings
tacker replied to tacker's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ok i tried to build my courage up for another forae under the bloody car again will a fully charged camera this time and i failed at the starting line as it still 44 degrees out there. then retired to the air conditioning and 2 cans of liquid bravery.... well ok it was 6. And rolled out to the car vowing to get pictures this time, worked my way under the car, get the camera all focused and b$%^er me if there isnt a huge bloody H.K.S stamp on the outside of the pipe. Which i could have seen from the side of the car rather than underneath it. So i guess i have my answer -
What Are The Standard R32 Gtr Turbo Housings
tacker replied to tacker's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Ok crawled under the bloody car point camera at said pipe to find the battery is flat........... So they must be 70 mm od at least and they have a flexible section in one of the pipes. Not sure if that is standard as i have not looked at any other gtr byt mine. Did notice what i believe to be standard cast turbo outlet pipes though -
What Are The Standard R32 Gtr Turbo Housings
tacker replied to tacker's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Hmm not sure my dumps are standard guess i need to crawl under and take some happy snap so you gent can tell me. I know the exhaust pipe is 90mm od and no cat or anything else for that matter from turbos to exhaust end. Lol no cats venture outside in my street now -
I am going to order some new turbos for my GTR R32 but i would like to know what the standard housings are as i dont really want to replace the exhaust down pipes or exhaust manifolds. You input would be well recieved.

Just 2 questions 1. has anyone else heard of a fuel pump called PNG, i am told they make the bosch pumps anyway. Even has the bosch part number on it 0580 254 950. 2. What is the flow rate for the original bosch 0580 254 950 anyway as i can get them very cheap 69$ so if i have to get 2 then i will and run them into a swirl pot.
-
Cubes, If what you say is correct i will need to look into this quickly. Just one question though, as you mention i didnt know that the normal trigger for the pump could shut down if the car stalled or such. Good to know really.
-
HKS, i did this mod some time ago. The 30 or 60 amp rating is for the contacts in the relay and 30 amps is more than enough for the single intank pump. I also ran the negative from the battery to the boot along with the positive in a 6 mm2 cable so there would be no voltage drop under load. I also see some comments about controling you relay from an ignition source which is what i did. And as an after though running the pump at 13.8 volts is much better than at 11volts, as the lower your voltage the higher your current ( amps ) the sooner you burn out the pump.

Removing Brake Stone Guard.
tacker replied to tacker's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Angle grinder it is then -
Can anyone tell me if the stone guard on the front brake disc is just a pressed fit or how to remove it .

try www.teiwa.co.jp

I have a simple question and i know it is a bit simple but i have to ask it anyway. Can i tune my R32 GTR on a 2 wd rolling road? The reason i ask is that there are no 4wd rolling roads in Dubai. If the answer is yes then i guess i have to remove the fuse for the 4WD just to be safe. regards

Anyone Else Using Rda Brake Parts
tacker posted a topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Has anyone else tried the RDA brake disc's? I have them now and they seem great, i would recommend them to anyone looking to upgrade from standard or those who need to get new disc's. They were cheap at 720 for 2 front and 2 back discs -
Do your self a favor and check out the RDA discs, not DBA is a different company. Dont get me wrong the DBA product is very good just pricey.
