  1. Looking at a 26/30 myself
  2. leak down test will tell you if there is damage
  3. if its and older engine you might find there is old oil in the intercooler check that first. Even so oil in the intake side doesnt mean you head is bad more likely a seal in your turbo or some blow by or crank case pressure
  4. i think ceramic dust from the exhaust wheel can do damage too i am afraid.
  5. i used a .65 for the rear and a .7 for the front. Still the same orginal pedal so the ratio hasnt changed
  6. It was a kit i brought and then made some slight mods too so it would bolt straight up to the old 4 bolt hole pattern. Had not been on track yet but have some very quiet roads around my warehouse on a friday. Pedal is very much firmer thats for sure, but also gives much more feel. Best part is i now know how much rear brake i was missing with the old stock rear calipers, then G4 rear calipers until i i did this and got rid of the ABS unit. In fact i had never used one set of bendix ultima pads in over 3000 kms of racing. Car now brakes much harder, even enough to get hot slicks to lock up on all 4 corners at the same time. Still working on getting the bias right but will get there next track session as its not a long way off being how i want it. Still managed to get 6 to 7 KGs off the car and i think got a much better, safer and better performing system. Now we will give the G4 calipers some real abuse and see how they stand up. PS found out that AP rotors are identical to the G4 units as well, same bells bolts etc etc, got a feeling they might be one and the same
  7. Ok got the brake pedal box in at last been meaning to get it done for a while now. Simple wee thing to change over and remove ABS
  8. aye and it be gone now
  9. got some more ideas to reduce this even further, still have steel doors and have just installed a pedal box so ABS is bye bye now too and its quite heavy
  10. Fine pedaling there big man!
  11. Hey well done mate, going to have to try this winning marlaky as weel some time soon

  15. Well yer, that one is one of only a few hundred made ( 3.6 litre single turbo ) so might be a wee bit out of the price range. But i know that the C2 is within your budget. They are a very sweet car to drive still prone to the lift off over steer as old porkers are but a more nimble car is hard to find i think you would enjoy the drive most people i have in the car do. and if you want to buy it mate i can fit you into slot 59 on the to buy list :-) And yer on the right track with the lotus we are just about to convert an S1 elise into a exsige with the K20 honda conversion kit, infact engine was delivered yesterday. That is going to be our 24 hour race car in class 3
  16. LOL Roy, you have come to the right man! yep i have driven a 964 porsche and i liked it so much i brought this
  17. i have over 3000 kms of race or testing on mine and are good. only problem i had was dippy bloody mechanic ( me ) didnt do the bloody bleed nipple up tight, so lost brakes at 240 kph. Apart from that i have used one set of rotors and 6 sets of the green track pad in that time, never had to replace anything else. I run the 356mm front and rear on a 1320 kg 500 hp R32 GTR race car Why do people knock these when they have never tried them, granted they are not Alcon etc but a bloody sight better than stock sumito or brembo. This i know as i have brought the brembos, tried them used the stock sumito, and the G4 is miles in front. I cant see how most people would believe that using 15 year old calipers which have possible never been serviced then a ISO 9002 companys new product which is larger in radius, lighter, greater pad surface area.

  19. They are straight plug in but you will need to retune
  20. yes duncan i have removed every bloody thing possible even down to alloy bolts if its not load bearing. I plan to get a full T45 cage in over summer here and a wide body kit i have to do something to catch the bloody viper Z06 GT2 etc
  21. i run a track r32 GTR with cage etc and weighing in at 1328kg full of fuel. I have just corner weighted my car and i can tell you that i need to get 12kg of weight to the left rear to even the car up so i will have a balanced rear weight with me in it. Still a front heavy car even so but its made a big difference to the car after it was set up on the scales. best possie would be right next to the left rear shock tower.
  22. Well i for one am going to run the next race meeting proudly showing some CFA / SES stickers on the front and rear of my old car in respect for our countries unsung heros!! Only wish i was a brave, and utter unselfish as those men and woman!!! How many people have they saved this week by putting their own lives on the line! Go the CFA / SES sorry if i am in wrong section but had to do something
  23. Ok another go at the corner weights this weekend. With driver and full fuel load i got the following. front left 415kg front right 444kg rear left 291 rear right 309 So that is a FR to RL total of 735 kg and a FL to RR of 724kg I cant get it any better without moving some the gear already installed into the car, so next week i start cutting the fuel cell, pumps mounting brakets and fire extingister and getting them all to the rear left corner. Once i get that corner heavier i will be able be able to better balance out the entire car
  24. i like the first one is shows just how much banking there is on the corner they call "the bowl"
  25. getting boring now but thought these were too good not to post
