  1. Look up aero catch. They are advisable on both FRP and CF bonnets, however it all depends on the strength of the latch area and bracing.
  2. Just to let you know what my thoughts are. Since the omega one is not available, I'm going to be getting the Snap On (Blue Point) low profile Jack. These aren't cheap, coming in at around $500, but at least you know it's a keeper for life.
  3. At this stage track work with SAU and various other forum organised events. I hear what your saying but for the sake of $100 I feel safer with having a surge tank and not have to worry about keeping my tank full enough, which a few hard laps can put a serious dent in. A one to two litre surge tank shouldn't take up much room at all if installed in properly, but I'll see how I go. You could even mount it in the spare wheel well and you wouldn't loose any room at all. Using an 044 as a lifter seems like an extreme waste of money.
  4. Don't get sucked into thinking all Jap brands are made in Japan. Besides, where it's made does not necessarily determine the quality.
  5. Don't get me wrong, I wasn't having a go at your set-up I was just pointing out that your particular setup is probably not ideal for circuit use, which is what I'll be targeting this setup for
  6. The only problem is that with any track work you would want to remove as much weight as possible, i.e. only as much fuel that is necessary to get the job done. Which would quite often require you to go below that 35 litres. At the end of the day it's horses for courses. Everyone has a different set-up as everyone usually has different budgets, goals, hp figures etc.
  7. It's a standard GReddy item, Part Number #13920606 There are two versions however, one for use with the GReddy Plenum (11mm #13920606) and a generic one for top feed injectors (10.5mm #13920605). Both come with earls fittings (as do all trust products like catch cans, etc.)
  8. Do any of you have a shut-off valve so that you can replace fuel filters without having to drain the system?
  9. Have you done any serious track work with the car? I would think that hard braking and/or cornering might give you pickup problems. But once again it depends on the intended use of the car. I chose a surge tank because I'm keen to get involved with some time attacks and for the sake of $100 a surge tank is really not that expensive.
  10. Single entry in the middle with the ends feeding to the fuel reg, with the bottom of the fuel reg being the return line.
  11. This is my fuel setup in the engine bay too, obviously still got a fair bit of work to do. felixy69 - Nice work on the electrical switch in the rear windscreen too. DCIEVE - If your changing to hard lines you will be buying all new connectors, wouldn't it be cheaper and yet still effective to just add the other 044 with braided lines, utilising a Y junction?
  12. The hard lines do help with fumes, although braided lines would help remove some of the noise from hard lines vibrating too. So I guess it depends on your situation. I would have thought 3 fuel pumps was complicated compared to a big single
  13. Well it's time that our website got a major overhaul. So we are putting it out there to our customers, you, to see what you guys want in regards to an online ordering site. We are looking at adding these features: - Up to date stock levels - Improved shipping quotes (enter your postcode and recieve an instant quote) - Simplified site to allow easier and faster viewing - As much information about each product as possible, including dimensions and pictures of the actual product - Easy checkout system - Improve on our online invoicing We want to make ordering easier for you guys along with answering any questions you have, so any feedback on things you like or don't like would be greatly appreciated.
  14. I'm in the midst of designing a fuel set-up for our R33 and I'm keen to get some ideas on what other people have done. For reference I'm working with - Surge tank with dash fittings - Boch 044 Fuel Pump - Bosch Fuel Filter or Earls Fuel Fitler And looking to make a boot enclosure to (reduce noise and spill containment) with teflon lines to reduce fumes. Here are a few pictures I have collected over time from the forums. For those with hard line setups, what have these costed you?
  15. Are you saying the Auto Salon article fudged the results of their test? I only ask because that is the only other test done to verify the difference between the two throttle bodies. I would have thought a flow capacity test or ultimately a power output test would be better than comparing boost pressures.
  16. I was under the impression the RS was designed to flow the same as the R (race) but keep a similar size of the S (street), thus the name RS. Having said that I know the the RS is 40mm valve size compared to that of the R's 47mm, so of course the R will support higher boost pressures (i.e. 2bar+). I've also read unofficial statements saying that the R should only be used for applications of more than 375hp. I guess the best thing is that they all use the same 2 bolt flange so it's very easy to change over and check the differences they make.
  17. Not sure if you are aware but the GReddy RS BOV has different diam. attachments that you can use for legal plumb backs and then a vent to atmosphere for track or spirited driving sessions
  18. Yeah Mr Jollwah and Yawn look to be on the money, GTR Gracer Kit with a Top Secret Bonnet.
  19. Don't take what I said as gospel as I haven't actually done it. However that is the advice I have been given.
  20. A fair bit I imagine. It's probably cheaper to pay a professional to remove the windows from someone who is wrecking a car.
  21. Yeah you need to get the window with the seal attached. I've been looking for one for ages. The main problem is that when people are wrecking they don't know (and I don't either) the correct way to remove the window and seal in one piece.
  22. My work in progress..
  23. The main reason some bars have an inbuilt grille is they are intended to be used on a particular series. As a bar with an inbuilt grille for series 1 will not fit series 2, and vice versa.
  24. Most international freight companies will charge you cubic weight (i.e length x width x height x 240)
