  1. Just a quick note to those who are undertaking this, Total Tools has a large range of threaded brass nipples. And in case it wasn't mentioned before remember to drain your coolant before doing this, and if you have thought about adding an oil relocation kit now would be a good time.
  2. PM me if you are having trouble finding the pictures you are after.
  3. It looks a lot better when both blades are not sticking out of the side uprights.
  4. Most people (me included) aren't fans of the veilside kit, so don't expect too many nice replies
  5. So nobody has any other pictures?
  6. I would have to disagree that "thin and bendy" makes a good bar. A thicker bar allows the bar to be secured firmly to the car and the less flexing the better. I believe there is a misconception between flimsy and shock absorbing. A thin bar in my opinion shows poor quality in the manufacturing process along with cost cutting for greater profit margins.
  7. Only a VERY poorly made bar would cave or flex under high stress.
  8. The cost is mainly in the mould. As most major companies will use injection moulding to create panels. As stated by NA Goodness, fibreglass is cheap, strong enough (if laid correctly with enough layers) to withstand normal driving conditions and easily repairable so you shouldn't have any dramas.
  9. ALL panels are sprayed to whatever colour the car is. Parts are not made using different coloured plastics. There are NO problems with respraying a plastic panel and no the colour underneath will not show through.
  10. I think we (I'll do it one day, I promise) need to create a thread with all the different types of kits that are available for the 33 for people to reference instead of a whole heap of threads about what kit is the best, as obviously it's personal taste.
  11. Keep in mind that a lot of bodyshops like to do their own prep work as this will determine the resulting finish.
  12. I would expect to pay around $3500 to $5500 depending on the amount of preparation that is done and the quality of workmanship, with some companies even charging around $7000.
  13. Just wondering what the advantage of the twin blade is, only looks? Does anyone else have other pictures of the blade?
  14. I don't believe there is an official Do Luck Dealer, however we can supply a few of their style kits. PM/Email me for more details.
  15. If I see that little midget Grant Denyer on one more show I'm going to shoot myself (or him).
  16. Any chance of removing the rear 1/4 window with seal intact?
  17. Your best bet would be to buy a DIY fibreglassing kit from repco or bunnings. They usually include instructions and have all the necessary things you need.
  18. Yes you are right, kinda jumped in without taking a close look. I never realised the two were so similar.
  19. We can supply you with a whole range of indicators, not sure if we have the exact one you are after but there are plenty of generic ones that will do the job.
  20. What car did it come off?
  21. Any loom or base map?
  22. We can help you out. As for the weight saving, you are always going to save compared to a metal item. The main reason most Carbon bonnets use an FRP skeleton is purely to keep the costs down. Most manufacturers can make a full Carbon bonnet but expect the price to double if not triple. So it really is a compromise between money, look and weight.
  23. See link, that should have all the info you need GReddy Turbo Timer Manual
  24. No worries mate. Whenever you're ready Hope the car is past it's run in stage so you can start to enjoy it.
