  1. That's my mate zac, he was just chilling and checking out my dish. TonyL, as much as I would like it to be laying rails, you are dead right about road clearance. I don't really care for scraping over speedbumps and up driveways, but I think it could come down just a little more.
  2. to me wasted spark seems a bit of a... waste. Half of the potential spark energy is being wasted on the opposite cylinder, and the coils have to fire twice as much which results in shorter life span and could develop problems in the higher RPM range if there is not enough time for the coils to charge. Personally I'd be looking at individual coils (remote mounted)
  3. Adam, the laurel looks awesome with the XT7s on! I just got these on today. 18*9.5 on the front and 18*10.5 on the rear Needs a little guard massaging and then it will be lowered at least 25mm
  4. I'm pretty sure I have a standard steering wheel but I may have thrown it out I'll check when I get home. Not 100% sure but the bonnet release cable may be the same as R32, in which case I have one of those.
  5. I'm going to make an undertray for my cefiro, but my main concern was that air was entering the mouth of the bumper and then going underneath the radiator support instead of through the radiator. I'm not too concerned about the aerodynamic effects of having the tray extend further back.
  6. Alternatively if you split the inlet to 2 pipes, fit an AFM on both pipes, the air flow through each flow meter will be half, so effectively each one would only need to be rated to half the power output (370/2 = 185kw) Effectively you could get away with 2 RB20/25 AFM which are relatively cheap in comparision. Since the PFC is now only seeing half the airflow you will have to half the injector sizing to keep your AFR the same. VH45 AFM would be the easier option
  7. The rocker cover breather fittings are simply pressed in. Just get a screwdriver in the opening and twist it back and forwards while you pull it up.
  8. Go talk to your department of transport, they should give you a list of registered engineers in your area, then go talk to them about what is required for them to give you a modplate/engineers cert. Usually it will just be something as simple as upgrading the brakes to the equivalent of the DET model.
  9. Yeah My placard is under the lid of the center console, though it says RB20E and auto, as opposed to all the good stuff I now have in it.
  10. That depends what you mean by brighter/whiter. The colour of the light is measured by temperature, which is what you see advertised (4300k, 6000k, 8000k etc) The lower numbers are more yellow and the higher numbers are more blue. I think 6000k is supposed to be closest to white, and 8000k has a slight blue tinge. The power consumption of the light is measured in watts (35watts, 50watts etc). A colour change is okay because all that is different is the gases/metals used inside the bulb. If you have 35W bulbs you can't change to more powerful 50W bulbs without replacing the ignitors. Providing you purchase bulbs that fit the headlamp casing and have the same power rating as your current bulbs then I can't see a reason why you wouldn't be able to change the colour.
  11. Yeah, I bought one because I wanted something different...... whoops
  12. Do C35's come from factory with turbo?
  13. Something about in standard form the power to weight ratio is not high enough to class it as a vehicle of interest. At least that's what I was told.
  14. Well if you are going to be putting in a 25DET later, you might as well put in a 25DET radiator in now, either that or get an aftermarket alloy R32 radiator.
  15. I'm running R33 radiator in my ceff, I did chop the bottom rubbers in half to help fit, and the top brackets don't line up, but you can make the top brakets out of anything. I was more concerned about extra cooling capacity than factory looking fit.
  16. I am jealous, can only afford the 25/30 combo
  17. Well maybe you should go post that gem of information in the News section, because this thread is clearly about importing a C35 laurel which are not eligible for import under normal circumstances. Back on topic, I don't think the auto box would make too much difference to it's potential value, considering it could possibly be the only road registered C35 in australia, and it's not like there wouldn't be parts available to do a manual conversion. How much is it going to cost you to bring it over?
  18. So is the RB30 an NA bottom end, or was it the factory turbo bottom end? When you say complete built RB30DET, is that with new bearings or anything else done to the bottom end?
  19. Hard to know how much it would sell for over here because we can't import them hence no one owns them, therefore none are sold, so we don't have any examples to compare against. Closest thing I could suggest would be comparing it to something like a JZX100 or something similar 1jz powered toyota sedan. I know I'd be keen to buy it if you did bring it over.
  20. Forum rules state you need a price or at least a ballpark figure, otherwise I'm putting in an offer of $100 plus postage.
  21. A can of deoderant exploded in my mates skyline yesterday.
  22. I've got a can of degreaser sitting on my back seat..... maybe I should move it somewhere else. I've had cans of rum start leaking, but not explode (lucky).
  23. To change an actuators rated pressure you need to replace the spring inside it
  24. Possibly the boost pressure sensor has come loose and is leaking air, would explain the lack in power?
