  1. I'm on the understanding that A31/C33 are the same seat bolt pattern as R32 and R33, and it is the S13s that 3/4 bolts line up. Try advertising in the regular parts for sale section, someone will probably buy it for their skyline.
  2. "This 1988 A31 Nissan Cefiro can no longer be imported." Because you would have to deport the car and then import it again? EDIT: Forgot to add..... [/sARCASM]
  3. Skyline chime is bolted onto the back of the instrument cluster, it's a little black box. As for my cefiro, my original cluster must've had the ribbon cut at the back, because I replaced the cluster with a factory manual/turbo on and now it starts chime at 105, though it never did before. Though my chime is like an elevator "ding" and I don't mind it because I can barely hear it with the windows up and the music off.
  4. There's no need to upgrade to 5 stud unless you have difficulty finding the wheels you want in 4 stud. The R32/S14 calipers bolt straight on, you have 3 options for discs. 1 - redrill the disc (9 holes) so it's 4/5 stud multifit 2 - buy blank faced R32 rotors from RDA, and have them drilled in 4 stud 3 - buy R33 non turbo rotors (same size but factory 4 stud) If you upgrade to R33 calipers, buy blank faced R33 rotors and have them drilled in 4 stud.
  5. What about the manual gearstick/handbrake surrounds.
  6. How much would a set of S14 hubs and LCA's cost, considering you already have the R33 calipers and discs?
  7. Don't you have to live in the country where you own the car before you bring it over? I'd give my left nut for a C35 laurel...
  8. I want those wheels, give them me.
  9. I was also of the understanding that the ECU's were interchangable. Reading of this thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=148463 says they have differences but nothing about not compatible. Also, this guy (quoted from the thread linked above) might still have his cefio ECU lying around, or you might be able to swap him.
  10. www.nissansilvia.com (commonly referred to as NS.com or NS) Alot of people frequent both SAU.com and NS.com
  11. I don't know if it's the way you wrote it or if you understand, but the skylines, cefiros, laurels rear calipers are hydraulic only, and the handbrake cable is for a small drum brake behind the disc. Considering that the cefiro and R32 share the same handbrake setup (drum in disc style), I would say that you could use your cable for the R33 rear hubs.
  12. I was going to have a go at you about 30 psi being closer to 2 atmospheres, but then i remembered that 30psi tyre pressure is compared to atmospheric pressure (already 14.7psi), so yeah approx 30psi(gauge) would be about 3 atmosphere. What I'm curious about though, is how did you calculate the volume of air?
  13. "Charlie! We're gonna go on an adventure, Charlie!" ...... I was mid way through my engine conversion when I did my hicas removal. But the power steering stopped working, turns out the pump was rooted, but I thought I had stuffed up the hicas removal somehow. Just make sure you don't run the engine without power steering fluid in the reservoir.
  14. Yeah, the simplest option in regard to piping is a non hicas pump and reservoir. But you would have to go to the effort of replacing your pump and reservoir, and buying them (money). As simon-ae86 said, the cooler offers more reliability, plus you don't have to pull your pump apart or replace anything.
  15. 2- Four hicas lines on the steering rack, this is simply a connection point for the hicas lines, you don't even need to plug them up, just remove the lines connected. 4 - Trace the lines from where you have blocked them right up to where they connect to the steering rack, removing any connection block things along the way 5 - Same picture as 2? Just remove those 4 lines, I don't think you can remove the block. Also, that looks freaky with the guy in the background of the photo. 6 - Should only have 2 lines left at the hicas unit now, 1 is supply from the pump (high pressure hose) and one is return to the reservoir (rubber hose with clamps). Remove the hicas unit. You have a couple options with the hoses. You can disassemble the P/S pump and remove the internals to the hicas side and plug the outlet, you will also need to plug the hicas return on the reservoir Or, what I did was get a power steering cooler off an R32 and using the old hoses from my hicas removal, piped it up between the spare outlet on the pump and the spare inlet on the reservoir.
  16. I had constant ant problem once, eventually found the nest under the carpet. I would go with the ant baits, and the surface spray won't wreck your paint if you only put it on the tyres.
  17. Yeah, R33 non turbo rotors are 4 stud, and they are the right diameter for the R32/S14 callipers
  18. I know that the S14 and R32 front calipers fit on. I "think" that S15 calipers are the same. The rotors are 5 stud though, as opposed to the cefiro's 4 stud. You can either redrill your rotors to 4 stud, or use R33 non turbo rotors. Or if you have some extra dosh you can upgrade to 5 stud hubs. Or if you are dodgey you can redrill your front hubs to 5 stud. (not recommended). If your current master cylinder is the smaller one (BM37) you will have to upgrade it (BM44 from an R32 is direct fit). If your current master cylinder is BM40, you can get away without upgrading it, but you will notice an increase in pedal travel. Do a search and read up on all the previous brake upgrade topics, alot of useful information is covered.
  19. Yeah, try ask in the skyline section, but for what it's worth, The cefiro fuel gauge stays still when you turn the car off (even if you pull the cluster out it stays put). And 80km's isn't too much from a full tank, you should be getting at least 400km to a tank, I would expect more from a newer car (R34) and depending on level of mods, maybe even 500kms. Do another 100kms and see what the fuel gauge is doing then. Otherwise it's not very hard to remove the fuel gauge/pump cradle.
  20. It will work, but the pedal will feel softer, and you will have to push it further. Also, I think you are required to upgrade it if you get your brake modifications mod-plated. It's more of a personal preference, I prefer the more solid brake pedal. My A31 had a BM38 master cylinder, I'm guessing it was 7/8" (14/16"). That combo with the R32 M-spec calipers, the brake pedal was actually getting all the way to the floor pan without locking the wheels.
  21. Yeah, J pipe is commonly called front pipe.
  22. No, R32 dump pipe, custom front pipe and laurel/cefiro cat-back. I wish I knew about S13 front pipes fitting. EDIT: If someone can confirm fitting of S13 front pipes, and the length/fitting of alternative catbacks, we can add it to our little interchangable parts list.
  23. I couldn't get the factory R32 front pipe to fit. Cat backs are similar in design, but not exactly the same. I used a laurel (same as cefiro) cat back, and had an exhaust shop fabricate a front pipe to fit the catback/dump.
  24. Yep, the car will sit higher, just like if you put S13 struts in an A31/C33 it gets lower. I think you should do it anyway and take photos for us.
