People, I'm looking for a single R33 GTR wheel, I'm hoping someone has an odd set (3) or they have a single one somehow. Or if someone knows where I should be looking, please tell. Cheers, Luke

Definitely Maltech, they offer ADR approved braided lines. I ordered a braided clutch line off them, and it looks top quality.

What Rotors You Running On Your Cefiro?
daisu replied to 2gceffy's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Your cefiro is powered by RB25DET? And you are buying new SR rotors/pads? I'm pretty sure you need to have the equivalent brake setup from the donor car (ie the R33 callipers/discs/pads) to pass engineering. -
What Rotors You Running On Your Cefiro?
daisu replied to 2gceffy's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
If you have an RB25DE they should be same as S13 SR20DET on the front. Though if you are buying new rotors, you might as well get some upgraded (skyline) front callipers, and the appropriate rotor. -
A31 Auto/manual Handbrake Mount Da Same?
daisu replied to Dan_J's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I have S13 rear cradle in mine, so I have to stuff around with custom cable mounting brackets and different Y adaptors. I'm thinking I won't bother yet and just install an R32 rear cradle. -
Has been done before in cefiros, 1J conversions are becoming more popular in S13s. See if you can read up on some S13 conversions, most of it should apply to the cefiro.

As stated, it would most likely be low fluid in brake reservoir, or a faulty switch/connection on your handbrake lever. I'd check brake fluid level first.
-
I would be trusting a new hose from pirtek more than a hose off an R32 which is most likely more than 15 years old. I don't know if there was differences between early and late model cefiro, or if the difference is between hicas and non-hicas.... But, I had a steering rack out of a non hicas R32 and it used banjo bolt fittings, where as my cefiro (hicas equipped early model) used regular flared pipe fittings on the rack connections. I couldn't use my R32 rack in my cefiro unless I also used the R32 hoses. You can use R32 hoses provided they have the correct fittings to suit your rack.

A31 Auto/manual Handbrake Mount Da Same?
daisu replied to Dan_J's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
I'm pretty sure the R32 handbrake mount is the way to go. Probably better to weld it in rather than drill and bolt. There will be a hole in the trans tunnel for the cable to pass through, it has a plate tack welded over it and is filled with some silicon rubber stuff. If you get rid of that crap first, put the cable through the hole and bolt the cover down, that will give a good indication of where to mount the handbrake lever on the tunnel. If you can't be bothered finding an A31 factory manual center console, you will need to cut a fair bit out of your automatic center console to get it to fit. Then you have to worry about sorting out your handbrake cables, but thats a different story. -
Wtb: Manual Cefiro Tailshaft
daisu replied to STREET DREAMZ's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
The factory RB20 manual cefiro shaft is the same as joining the front half of an R32 manual shaft, with the rear half of the A31 shaft. The halves are bolted together, so its just a matter of unbolting them, swap them over, bolt them together again. But that won't fit your RB25 gearbox, I don't know if you can use an R33 RB25 front with the A31 rear? Otherwise just go for the 1 piece custom. -
A31 Auto/manual Handbrake Mount Da Same?
daisu replied to Dan_J's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
You guys don't understand what he is asking.... Yes, the auto "parkbrake" is mounted on the floor, But the release lever (equivalent of a normal handbrake button) is mounted on the center console. He wants to know if the mount for the release lever is the same as the A31 manual handbrake lever mount. Unfortunately, the answer is no. I just got the R32 handbrake lever, sat it on the trans tunnel, mark the holes, drill a few holes, bolt it in. -
Stripping Sound Deadener The Easier Way
daisu replied to 88silhouette's topic in Tutorials / DIY / FAQ
Make sure you work with the car doors open, other wise you could suffocate from CO2 inhalation. I wonder how quickly the sound deadening would come off if you used liquid nitrogen Though the sudden and uneven temperature drops, I'd be worried about the seam welds on the floorpan. -
Recommend Me A Cheap Run-a-round Car.
daisu replied to Musky's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I'd go for the charade, I owned one for about a year before I sold it and bought a daihatsu applause. The applause is good for carting tyres n stuff, but damn I miss my charade. 35litres would get me 500+KM every time, and that wasn't granny driving either. My sister also has a charade, she's owned it for about 5 years. All it needs is an occasional oil change and your set. BTW, both cars I talked about were the 1.3litre EFI models, if you don't mind the lack of power the 1litre carby versions are even more fuel efficient. If you dont mind the sedan model, check this one Has power windows, aircon and power steering. -
What is "-OS cross-mission 1st-3rd gear" Is it aftermarket gearset? Also, I want to see this nismo cluster, I think I've seen one before but I lost the picture.
-
Phwoar $500+? that's a bit of money just for some white illumination... I was thinking more along the lines of scanning the cluster dials (with a decent scanner), slight modification of the image on the computer, then go down to a sticker shop and have it printed as a vinyl sticker. Put the sticker on a piece of white acrylic.
-
Might have to make a custom cluster face with some white acrylic sheet.

Khahki Green Cef On Jspec (history)
daisu replied to Hella Flush's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Colours yes, but there aren't that many readily available bodykits for the cefiro as compared to something like skylines or silvias. Grey trim is ugly IMO, brown is okay if it's suede (spelling?), Don't forget you could get leather trim in the ceffs, I've seen a couple with cream leather interior. -
R31 sillouette? I've heard these cars use RB20 gearbox and have electronic speedo. Also, I read up on RB20 conversions into S13, apparently you use the CA18 manual speed sensor in the RB20 box. I hope these speed sensors aren't expensive,

R33 Manual Conversion Wiring Problems
daisu replied to LiQuid IcE's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Reverse switch in the gearbox could be shagged. You can test it with a multimeter or test lamp. There should be two switches in the gearbox (neutral and reverse) each switch has two prongs sticking out under the car, pull the plugs off if they are attached and put your meter across the prongs, then push it in and out of reverse and see if the meter changes. -
Basically, I want to get rid of my cable driven setup and use an electronic speedometer (haven't decided whether I'll stick with the analogue dial or use a digital LED/LCD display). I know that S13 use an electronic setup, I'm guessing that R33 would too? I know that you can make the SR and R33 gearboxes work with the cable setup, so I'm assuming I should beable to get a speedo sensor to fit in the RB20 gearbox? Anyone got any ideas?

Canaried For Missing Tyre Placard (r33 Gtst) - Help!
daisu replied to spec r's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I don't have an R33, but common places are in the glovebox, or on the B billar when you open the drivers door (or on the door as it faces the B pillar). -

Compare the tacho with an aftermarket one, and just get an aftermarket temp gauge, factory temp gauges are way too slow.
