Will Skyline Dump Front Pipe Fit Cefiro
daisu replied to shakotan-cefiro's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Do you have a cat converter? Or does the extension replace the cat? -
yeah, if you were going to consider the VG30 because it was cheaper, then I'd recommend looking at SR20. I just put one in mine and couldn't recommend it more often.

Have a factory side mount intercooler from R34, with a couple pipes and rubber hoses, and the plastic inlet duct. Was using this in my cefiro but now I have intercooler behind the rad support, so no need for this. Comes with the factory pipes for $100. Not included is the alloy inlet pipe, you can have that for another $70. Located in the suburbs of Brisbane. Pick up only. Send me a PM if you are interested. Thanks, Luke

Or if it is still mounted in the car, jack it up, spin the output shafts (wheels) 10 times and count how many time the tailshaft turns. 41 turns would be a 4.1, 39 turns would be a 3.9 etc etc

Stay strong brother.

1. From what I've read (not much) there are no sat nav conversions for the original equipment. You have to install aftermarket gear. 2. English menu conversion..... seriously, 2 posts above you is in big bold letters "M35 and V35 english conversions" Also, I hope you're not interested in twincam RB30's because that thread is up to 351 pages and it is a goldmine full of useful information.

Anyone Got Rid Of The Reverse Beeping?
daisu replied to tienscissors's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Does anyone else find it amazing that no matter how old a topic is, someone manages to dig it up from over 3 years ago and everyone else continues to reply as if it was yesterday's news? *cuts some slack* I remember the first time I discovered a message board I posted on pretty much every topic I thought was relevant without considering the date of the last reply... and for what it's worth, it was a daihatsu enthusiasts forum. To keep this reply on topic to the original post....... Reverse beeping is a feature commonly found on automatic equipped vehicles. Filling the speaking with silicon will silence any other warning signals (ie lights left on, door open) Cutting the reverse signal wire will stop your reverse lights from working. My experience with consult is limited to 90's models. Can you really turn features on and off using consult?? -
Cool story Hansel. Care to tell us what it is? Where you got it from? How much? It didn't sound like a V6 before?

Wanted Parts A31 / C33
daisu replied to Mr Eps's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Front LCA's are the same as S13, should be no problem getting them. I even think Fulcrum suspension stock them with new balljoint. -
Good point. Wouldn't surprise me if they had done that here in brisbane actually, the dealership I bought it off wasn't exactly what you would call reputable.

Hmmm, I thought seized piston may have been the case at first, but then I was able to push the pistons back into the caliper (to fit the new pads) using only a screwdriver. Brake fluid, I haven't changed it yet, bought the car 6 months ago and it doesn't see any track work, but I guess now is a good time to do it. What's the order again? left rear, right rear, left front, right front?
-
Hey, The brakes started grinding the other day. Took the rears off this afternoon (didn't get to the fronts yet), I'm not expecting perfectly even pad wear but the inner pad on the drivers side was completely worn to the backing whereas the other 3 pads were about 50% or so and still had a fair bit until they would've reached the squeal indicators. This seems a bit excessive that one pad would wear away completely before the others get to the squeal indicator. The car is an '03 model coupe 350GT with the brembo calipers. Has anyone else seen pad wear like this? I'm planning to just clean the sliding pins a bit, put some high temp grease on there and keep an eye on it.

Swapping An Sr20 Into R32 Gtst

I just put an SR20 in my cefiro, couldn't be more happier with it. -
Ceffy Problem. Lack Of Power And Stumbling/hestitating On Boost
daisu replied to rayj's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Do you have access to an air compressor? If so, remove your AFM and plug the pipe (I used an empty glass jar), then pump the air in through a vacuum line. You'd be surprised where the leaks are. Don't need to go any higher than 1bar. On my old RB20, it was leaking around where that rubber hose connects to the crossover pipe. A few vacuum lines I had plugged with bolts were leaking around the bolts. One of the pipes was leaking at a weld. A common place is the gasket between the upper and lower inlet manifold. EDIT: Just saw above post. Hope they can sort it for you. -
Ceffy Problem. Lack Of Power And Stumbling/hestitating On Boost
daisu replied to rayj's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
If you are running copper plugs just run out and get a new set, always good to rule that out first. Otherwise it's probably your coilpacks on the way out. Try gapping the plugs a bit closer, I think factory is 1.1mm but if your coilpacks are tired try going down to 0.8mm as a bit of a short term solution. Try swapping your coilpacks with a friend. If your loom has the round shape plugs, they are the same as R32 skyline. -
Ah, didn't realise this was you out there on Tuesday. I was in the white cefiro.
-
Cefiro is similar weight to an S15. How can you say no? Slap an autech kit on and they look mint.
-
I'd start with the exhaust, it will make a decent change. Turn the boost up a little. Should be a decent increase for a street car.

Finally Got My Ceffy Registered In The Uk
daisu replied to Lum's topic in Four door and wagon builds
Odd question for you... When you have an imported car in the UK, are you required to change the indicator stalk onto the left hand side? -

How Many V35 Owners In S E Qld

I have one, but I'd be more interested in a meet-up (and a BBQ) than a cruise. -
A31 Conversion, Legal Requirements Qld
daisu replied to VRdrift's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Keep in mind that if you buy a donor car and you want to change to 5 stud, that skyline front hubs won't fit on the cefiro (unless you have a 4wd cefiro).
