  1. G'day. I saw that your car was non abs. I am after the hard brake lines that go from the master cylinder back to the junction box going to the rear, the line that goes to the left wheel arch and the one that goes to the right wheel arch. Would $30 collect do? Thanks, Ben.
  2. Hi mate, how much would you like for the fuel filler flap; that is the square flap.
  3. TTT - I am getting stacks of creaking from the rear of my V35 sedan. I have taken a look and everything seems to be in order; though the creaking has become vairly loud most of the time. What is a compression rod? I was thinking that some parts probably need a bit of greasing - has anyone resloved this issue?
  4. Your comment about needing 1.5 litres got me to thinking as Duncan has suggested that the transfer case takes 2.0 litres. I looked in the workshop manual and it suggests 1.8 litres. For the record I put 2.0 litres in mine last night (I could not get the filler plug out and thought it would be just as good to pour in the exact quantity). I didn't notice any real problems today; but I guess the difference between 1.8 litres and 2.0 litres is relatively small! For fluids the manual recommends Transfer case (page CH-59) - 1.8 litres of Nissanmatic fluid D [approx. 1.8 litres] Manual transmission (page CH-23) - Nissan gear oil MP-G special GL-4 #75-90 [approx 4.1 lites] Front final drive (page CH-125) - Nissan gear oil hypoid GL-5 85W-90 [approx. 1.0 litre] Rear final drive (page CH-125) - Nissan gear oil hypoid LSD GL-5 80W-90 [approx. 1.5 litres] I have no personal opion as to the products and quantities; but I thought I would provide reference to the manual to round out the discussion.
  5. When I asked for fluid for my transfer case at Nissan in Rockdale (who proport to sell to imports and provide Nismo gear) I was told that any automatic transmission fluid would do. I asked abour gearbox oil, thy told me that they ony sell in quantities of 20 litres and did not have the specified viscosity. Castrol recomend Castrol Transmax Z, so do Sydneykid and Duncan; just my two bob, but that'll do me! Moodles 2; can your mechanic get 2 to 4 littres of Nissan Matic-D ATF or is he getting it in large quantites being a mechanic and all?
  6. On a 4WD; I assume that there is a filler plug if I don't want to fill my transfer case from the shifter hole? Looking at the workshop manual it seems to be at the rear of the transfer case on the driver's side of the rear propeller shaft - is that right? Also, the service manual suggests that a sealant (Three Bond 1215 - genuine Nissan part KP610-00200) should be used when installing the drain plug - is this unnecessary? If it is necessary shoudl the same sealant be used when installing the drain plug into the gearbox as well? Thanks, Ben.
  7. Hi, was the car ABS-equipped? I am after non-abs brake lines that are connected to the master cylinder - there are three of them; I am after the one that goes to the rear of the car (it's pretty shirt) and the one that goes to the driver's side tyre well.
  8. Here's a picture of one GTR that has done heaps of driving at 100 km plus and uses bonnet pins to hold the bonnet down with-out the factory latch : ) I am going through a bit of an effort where I am trying to get all 'non essential' bits out of my engine bay because a. I think it looks cool b. I am constantly fixing things and having less things means that there are less things to fix c. I think it looks cool I agree that the electronic latch thing seems a bit too hard to bother and perhaps the Aerolatch is the way to go; though I am interested in other ideas if people have them. Thanks.
  9. Hi, I am after the front brake lines from a non-ABS R32. These are the lines that go between a. the master cylinder and the front right tyre well b. the master cylinder and the front left tyre well c. the master cylnider and a junction box on the chassis below the master cylinder heading to the back of the car. Thanks, Ben.
  10. Hi there, I want to use bonnet pins to secure my bonnet so that I can get rid of the latch support bracket from the front of my car. I would like to use standrad-type bonnet pins as I like the look of them; though I am concerned that people will be able to open my bonnet if I use these and remove the standard latch. Is there a way to lock a bonnet using standard pins? I was thinking of using a pad-lock like you would use on your luggage though that is pretty daggy. I am aware that you can get lcokable latches from Aerocatch (http://www.aerocatch.com/) though I prefer the look of a normal pin. Any help or ideas would be great - thanks!
  11. Hi there, I am constantly spending time with people at Nissan trying to work out what parts I need etc. I would very much love to have a copy of Nissan FAST of my own. I have looked around a few websites which involve me paying to register to download the programme, though I have to admit that I am not comfortable with the websites and giving them credit card details. I may be happy with a website that someone has used and had a good experience with, or alternatively, someone may be kind enough to burn me a copy and send it to me in the mail? Many thanks, Ben.
  12. For anyone who searches and randomly finds this - I have decided to keep it. Thanks, Ben.
  13. Hi sir31; I am in Sydney, does this mean that the price would be say $25 delievered? Also, I have received yuor reply in the tread for the non-abs master cylinder; I am no longer after a master cylinder but I am after the front right (driver's side) brake line and the short brake line that runs between the master cylinder and the junction box going to the rears brakes do you have those. Thanks, Ben.
  14. Sir31; what model is stamped to the side of your master cylinder - I am guessing it is BM44. Do you have the non ABS brake lines to go with it - is it from an R32 or an R33? Thanks, Ben.
  15. Nope.

  20. Hello, I have an ABS module from my R32 GTS4 for sale. It has no leaks and works perfectly. It is currently in my car and can be seen working before you buy if you like. I am removing ABS from my car altogether which means that this is no longer required by me. $250 collect or I can post it at buyer's expense (though it would probably be a little expensive). Thanks, Ben. 0411 243 284.
  21. I had a look at a BMC on a Patrol today. I want to confirm that the one that we are talking about with-out the proportioning valve has two outlets. Also, I assume that the bias controller will simply be fitted in line between the BMC outlet and the line running back to the rears? Thanks, Ben.
