  1. Hi, I still have it. I removed it because I wanted to have a non-abs car as I am starting to track it a little more and I think that the car looks cooler with-out it and it saves a little weight. My family and friends think that it is a bit mental to take the ABS off my car, but I still think it was a good idea!
  2. Hi moo r32; can you please post up a picture of what your setup looks like? Thanks, Ben.
  3. I have a BM50 brake master cylinder for sale. It is the 2 port (ABS model). It is in good condition and does not leak. You will need to do your own research but this is an upgrade from the ABS-BM44 I removed if from my car as I removed my ABS and went with a 3 port (non ABS model) BM44 master cylinder. I am located in Sydney. The price is $100 collect or swap for a straight GTS front guard (any colour / either side). Will post at buyers expense. Pictures will be available shortly.
  4. Hi, I am in Camden NSW. I want $120 pick up for mine. It is in perfect condition; I converted my car to non-ABS which is why it is spare. Alternatively, I will swap it for a straight front GTS or GTR guard, either side in any colour. Thanks, Ben. There are some pics in my for sale thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...-M-t295783.html
  5. $120 pick up; will post at buyer's expense.
  6. I am very sorry - I must have had a brain freeze. The BM50 that I have is the 2 port (ABS) model - not the 3 port that I wrote in the subject header and my initial post. To be clear I have a BM50 brake master cylinder for sale. It is the 2 port (ABS model). It is in good condition and does not leak. 8. I ended up buying second hand pipes and a non-ABS BM44 master cylinder. The reason I did this was because it all came at a good price. The master cylinder that I had before was an ABS BM55. The BM44 is noticably longer; it also feels like alot less pressure is required to brake (I assume taht this is a result of the reduced ore). Overall, I am happy with the change as the job itself was very easy and the removal of the ABS module saved alot of space in my engine bay. Also, I reckon that it weighs about 10kg (I will weigh it properly though for the purpose of this discussion). At this point I am not sure if I am happy. I would prefer a shorter and firmer brake pedal (but I didn't really have a good brake pedal before). Maybe I will see someone about having my BM55 master cylinder modified to fit 3 outlets. Maybe I will look at a master cylinder with-out a proportioning valve (I think off a Navara) and use a brake bias adjusted; or maybe I will leave it. I will live with it a bit first though to see how I go. Ultimately, if someone does try it with a t-piece I hope that they post their results here. I for one can't see why it wouldn't work.
  9. Where are you located?
  10. The unit has now been taken out of the car.
  11. I don't know if it lets you set up a second account with the same name or credit card. I guess you could use someone else's name or a fake name and a second credit card you have. It all seems real unfair. I have had auctions that I have lost and a few minutes later I get an email saying that the buyer fell through and an offer to buy the item at my last bid! I guess it is all relative to the item that you are bidding on and what you are willing to pay (that's my excuse to keep me from getting upset).
  12. Of course they do; I bid on my mates Sprite once just to get things started for him. In fact, I am sure that people set up a second ebay account which they use to drive their auctions up with.
  13. Hi manage13 you don't know that Pedders part number you were supplied do you? I'd like to buy the boots you are talking about. All, I have attached the front drive shaft section from the manual for reference; though I am sure that this is no match for personal experience. R32_GTR_Front_Driveshaft.pdf
  14. I called Nissan this week and they quoted $220 for both boots on th passenger side. I am looking for other options too but I don't have time to have the car off the road while I figure it out. Let me know what you do - I will probably do the same.
  15. It's back for sale now with a starting price of $5,499. I am surprised that this seller is not on SAU? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/1975-Datsun-Skyline...=item27ad61c1fe
  16. Is the power steering pump HICAS?
  17. In case you were wondering but didn't get around to calling; you can get all three non-abs solid lines from Nissan for $90. I managed to get second hand ones but I thought that the Nissan price wasn't too bad.
  18. Hi, both of the boots on my front left drive shaft have split. Rather than have the car off the road while I have the boots replaced by a shop I figure it is better to get another one with good boots and swap it over. This way I will have a spare if it happens again. So I am after a front passenger side drive shaft as pictures. Thanks, Ben.
  19. You shouldn't need a second can for the crank breather - just use a t-piece going into the catch can.
  20. Hi, I'm keen. When you say pre-drilled - what are these pre-drilled for? Are they pre-drilled for generic fitment to any car or is there a perticular location that these can fit up to on Skylines? (I have an R32). Thanks, Ben.
  21. Congratulations on your new addition!
  22. I don't have anything to add about your engine. Regarding the oil catch can; consider that having a clogged up or dirty air filter on top of the can may have the same effect as having it blocked up the way that you did. You may (may not - its up to you) condsider venting the catch can back to your air intake behind the air filter.
