  1. friend used to use it a log, drop of car for service on way up to syd in morning, pick up car on way home and no need to pay for parking.
  2. yeah I got mine from a nismo authorized re seller same time as the engine mounts and gearbox mount, so pretty sure it real and same senario
  3. I have the chrome version of that nismo one, and exact same thing, chrome wearing off to a cheap red thing below it. got that nismo logo burnt in hand a few times in summer as well. But is very well weighted and comfortable
  4. I used some black duct tape to do same.
  5. When I was in the office 5 days a week I rode in most days Used to do Gleniris to south melb then after move was doing Newport to South Melb both had bike tracks most of the way and was at work in under 30 min. and we had bike storage in the secure carpark. we did have decent showers at work however as in summer can get a sweat going.
  6. yeah forget car sales. gumtree/facebook market place is where the decent cheap ones are. 5ish will get a clean one with some good bits, 4ish for one with a few things to clean up prob have to go north a bit to get one however.
  7. yeah I'm aiming for a nice 150ish RWKW, think I have decided on one of these as my affordable classic for a few years whilst american muscle gets finished. bit of low, some rims, few tunes and a 308 seems like a nice little weekend car. prob bang it on club rego as well.
  8. bathurst was fun.. any idea where to find a VH/VK commo cheapish?
  9. scariest fact... Mass shooting in USA, stocks in gun companies shoot up as more people buy more guns...
  10. I represented Melb uni in target shooting back when I was there so it's def not old codgers, won a few trophies and really enjoyed it. now I have more spare time hoping to get back into it.
  11. Pence....
  12. yes to both
  13. TL;DR I bought a shit car spent too much effort/cash on it ---------- so the pic in the sig was as I bought it. turns out worst mustang in australia. after this we were trying to do a wheel alignment and they could not get it within 6 "inches" of aligned on front end..they had then cocked the rear end so it was actually crabbing down the road. It had had a big front end hit and was a dodgy fix, I had had a "reputable" company that I found in unique cars inspect it and they found nothing.. thus why I use stateroads now instead so I found an old school panel beater put it on a jig and got all the corners into alignment. we then also did some cosmetic work to the front end. suspension overhaul plus some engien work and I was happy for a while then engine started smoking, we were going to do a quick engine swap and decided to use it as a wedding car as I had just got engaged, so pulled engine and gave it a quick media blast, only to find so so much bad work. rust holes, (but no current rust) dented panel, panels hammered out of the way to fit conversion then bogged over. basiclly nothing that I would want to half arse fix. so its stat for the past 6 years in primer as first pay for wedding, honeymoon then house. scary enough it is still regoed and insured, however think it time to drop that as this will be a long build as I want to do it myself so need to learn skills and that will take time by end of this year will finally be at a point to start looking at fixing it up
  14. only car I reget getting rid of was my RA65 Celica. lunched a engine and had no idea at the time about engine swaps and such, sold for scrap with a sub 1000km 1500$ set of tires on it. started shopping for one again now to LS swap chuck on club rego
  15. yeah I guess if I get to it one day will be worth something... first S14 tho, I need track days again
  16. lets start with a 19K buy in.....plus lots more spent..
  17. I'm at 6,9 and 19 years with my cars.. I made the mistake of persisting with the mustang when I should have moved on to other projects... once I have my shed however it will only be a quick 10-19 years further b4 I give up oh well.
  18. haha that's when I got into track days proper... finally having proper disposable income was awesome past 2 years for building house have killed me, but that should be over in a couple of weeks wondering if I can have the car ready for November Motokana more likly early next year as want to do a few things to it first.
  19. there is just that meany cops about that people don;t do that shit anymore. the run from Cowra to bathurst we saw a cop every 5 min. think we were chatting to a copy first year and he mentioned they bring in 4000 extras for the weekend. that said as long as you not a tool they let you get away with a fair bit. had one last year walk past our site every morning and give us shit about our fire. 2 yeas before that had the superintendant come over and have a chat with us all about the race whilst a guy is pissing on a tree about 2 meters away. The below was one of the years I went on, think I was 2-3 people along from them. basiclly ppl were riding scooter/bikes down the hill to jump the fire, got a little rowdy with spectators so the cops came to get ppl to move on, crowd got into him to do the jump. as we see he cleared it nicely, then turned around and said ok now you can all F$#K off. they a fun bunch up there so long as you don;t touch your car drunk or have any drugs
  20. did some-one say VB.....i miss real beer but not long till happy bathurst week
  21. Yeah I moved my booze myself, plus car parts as did not want other stuff smelling oily, but with a ute it was just fuel costs for me.
  22. https://www.jaxtyres.com.au/tyres/sizes/13-inch/185-60r13 Achilles 122 $79 a corner, not sure if there one near you however?
  23. yeah ours was a hot day and we had some Cokes and battles of water with some Choc bars in the esky for them.. they supply all the padded blankets and everything it's too easy really
  24. 200-500$ depending distance and such, get a few quotes and you will start getting an idea. you just have stuff in boxes and sit there with a beer whilst they do it. The stuff I put in storage this time was same, guy arrive load everything up to the Pod, take it to depot, sorted for a few months, then they gran the pods will deliver to new house and unload it, I'm not 21 and bribing friends with pizza and beer to help move anymore.
  25. easy I threw out just about everything and started again. furniture I kept TV, 1 couch, mattress. White goods, fridge to be used as bar fridge washer and dryer. and every times I've moved I just pay some-one to do it, their insurance can cover if something gets broken.
