  1. results updated. small typo in the overall championship 3rd place..I got a little carried away
  2. cage is not needed unless you are planning on running slicks. Most of us don't have one. Tho is a great idea once you become more serious. re Bonnet catches if you have a factory bonnet then you have 2 already, the one under the dash then the secondary one under the bonnet so you are fine. if you have an aftermarket carbon or similar one then you will need to look at other options such as some wire with carbines attached clipped to bonnet and chassis. If you do need to do this let me know and will get you some mroe info and some examples the guys here have used. M
  3. I would love to see the default rate for this. but seriously who thinks shit I'm that broke now That I will repay 1.5 of it in 2 weeks!!! fark,
  4. I got curious about that cashtrain thing and looked at their website. 36.5% interest over 4 weeks!!!! who could be that desperate! oh that's right drug dealers
  5. I did mine on website and had back same week. or you can fill in form and pay for one on the day itself.
  6. that's Roy a SAU member. he was leaking Gearbox oil I belive (could be engine) so the rears were coated with oil when he went to turn in. so assuming your not planning on pouring oil on tyres prior to going out you should be fine.
  7. 223 was my vmax for the day. not bad for 185kw...
  8. entry list is up: http://www.wrx.com.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=75238
  9. looks like we might get more than I expected thought every-one was going to be in Syd curious to see the entry list now. M
  10. ya but remember Christ car on semi's and stripped out of sound deadening and such so makes a big difference. there huge diffrence between street and track set-ups that said power at sandown does rule. Winton much less so.
  11. Happy to do DT and I was def not a good driver, slowly improving now but yeah went from a FWD bluebird to the 200 and hit the track straigh away...very fast learning curve, should ahve driven it for a year or so first to get a better idea of how it reacted. thus why on my 2nd or 3rd day I ended up liek this:
  12. to give an idea my first time out with 168kw 2nd hand crappy hankook tyres stock suspension bendix ultimte pads..(they almost made it though the day) I got a 1.33.8 So you should be shooting for low 30's high 20's if you ever want to keep people honest about lap times you can find every-one that is registered with natsoft here: http://www.motorsportzone.com.au/?page=lap_times
  13. When I did mine the cams regs asked for body washers both sides and 2 x M6 bolts. that said just glanced at the current regs and they have removed mounting info other that it must withstand 25G..no idea how scrutineers can test that! So I withdraw my comment looks like it would pass current regs
  14. hmmm lets try that on yours first
  15. and sandown you get the full circuit to cool them down. even so I do a couple laps of the car park after I come off to make sure they are cool
  16. just make sure you cool them down very well prior to parking and you should be ok.
  17. Flight delayed 5 hours so far..so I'm surfing carpoint...bad idea
  18. don't bet on it, DBA 4000 have a very bad rep for cracking. RDA and such no such problems.
  19. Actually I have them now, and hair nets to go with them. Tony remind me b4 committee meeting and I will bring a couple along for u to try out M
  20. oh well Looks like I'm coming to sandown, Some one has to turn up to keep an eye on folks if my tax arrives might even enter!
  21. I'm actually surprised they OK'ed that without washers under the bolt head.
  22. MAS recently have been Club members only for some tracks. so no go with them.
  23. Ah didn't realize you had already had it fixed. then probably too late unless you can find fault with the work.
  24. HAHAHAHA http://hiremyride.com.au/ride/nissan-r34-skyline-sedan-1998-1028
