Well DECA is upon us again. As always, the event wont go ahead unless we get people to help out on the day. So we are calling for your assistance - if your willing to help, or if your bringing a friend/partner who's willing to help - please speak up. We can explain what you need to do if you haven't done it before, so don't stress about that. It is VERY easy stuff! and you will get a great view of the action!! (very good for you budding photographers) All officials will be given a free lunch and water during the day. We also need all officials to be at DECA by 8.00am on Saturday morning - same time as competitors. Chair, sunscreen, hat etc all make this into a relaxing day A Slight change to previous events. we will be organizing Volunteers prior to the Drivers Briefing. And until all slots are filled Drivers briefing will NOT go ahead and the event will not start. I know it sounds harsh but without these people we cannot run the event. My suggestion.. if you don;t kow a heap about cars..and many don't get an inspection done by a reputable company. my suggestion along with many others here is state roads www.stateroads.com.au this will give you a much better idea than asking people who have never seen the car. this thread will give you an idea of why this is suggested... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Do...p;hl=stateroads

Was cheaper last year, but as our rental and insurance goes up so does the entry unfortunately..

I remember last time I went, with the enzo, F50 and F40 all in a row. useless bit of trivia, the fox Enzo was the only 2 tone one from the factory..(guessing he bought it as a tax write off) and rumor has it he cannot fit behind the Steering wheel!

worth noting the towing capacity of that car as listed by Toyota is 1200kg http://www.drive.com.au/used-cars/TOYOTA/V...291049&pt=1 (click specifications and look down for towing capacity) remembering a average car trailer form a rental place is like 800-1000kg (sometimes more) add a car you are going to be close to doubling the tow capacity. so if you tow and get pulled by the RTA/cops they can force you to leave the trailer on the side of the road. Also if you have an accident...insurance will not pay out. so will it do it..yes..will it do it legally no.

hmm so I jsut walked across the street to confirm this... and sure enough boarded over the smokers area the area we used to have meetings now has about 20 machines. the room next to that, ie attached to the bar, has a big bit missing from the side where there is now a cashiers room no screen/pa system anywhere I could see.... Well hopefully this means the meal/drink prices might become more reasonable... M

this is what my mate had back in the day.. his old man had a farm, and got sick of the cops calling about him being a dick on the streets.... so for his 21st built him a private skid pan. been turned into a pen for cows with fences and stuff since he left home tho... M

I got a bunch of video's from the battles, Should have caught most cars. Vids won't be up till end of week tho as I'm still in shepp with SFA internet access. Would have got them for all the day however due to lack of volunteers I was stuck out on the back track for the morning... thinking going to ahve to have my car working for a deca one of these days and enter again..been 12 months or so..
