  1. did you check if you can claim for emergency allowance from your Travel insurance? if so hope you used it.

  5. so my read. they hiring a replacement for you in NYC, they want you to stick around till they have cross trained them. So my thoughts, be nice, (never know when you need a reference) but ask for pay rise. offer to help on board the guy in NYC, face time with the owners is always a great thing and they can see how much of a company person you are. (plus free trip to NY) be aware that after guy is on boarded you are disposable, but with you payrise a payout is nicer. wait for said payout and buy coke and hookers. now the bit you don;t want to read. in all honesty the path that you took though this was a bit juvenile. using gossip merchants to promote your agenda..really basically you have shown that you prefer to go behind their back rather than face your issues. kinda like a 14 year old girl. all this could have been easily resolved, book a meeting with your manager/local rep, explain where your at, explain the pain points, and give a solution. suggest a lackey and a step up of your role with more pay due to XYZ. Never complain about an issue at work unless you have a suggested solution thus you look like a fixer rather than a trouble maker, even if it a crap idea they don;t go with it looks like you have that tried As it is you now can never truly trust them to give you a future reference as they don't trust you.
  6. stolen thrashed whatever...get a 33..

  9. as the ppl at the front of the plane are more important. or as per one of my biggest hates, those that are at the back start walking down and put their bag in the first gap filling the front rows. most larger planes do call it buy block of rows for that exact reason, but that would require ppl to be at gate on time and to do what told, which seems impossible for most travellers.
  10. guy delivering the money is on strike #amidoingitright???
  11. I've had that. in the Philippines when we went to Boracay it was a prop job. they weigh every bag and every passenger to get the weight distrubution correct. flight was half full and there were 2 gents and the front sitting side by side with the rest of the row empty other dude went to move to the free seat and stewardess shouts at them to sit back. last time I caught a prop job.
  12. yeah and I think they dropped the kg as well at same time. last time I traveled with them...1.5kg, was not travel for work, spare change of beach clothes and a tablet. (no lounge so was not worried about attire.)
  13. that's the one area status does not help, carry on limit same for all classes/status. check in however. using the Qantas first Class check in, you arrive at the door a bell hop with a luggage trolley picked up your luggage from your and wisks it away and no scales. considering the luggage limit is over 100kg, they figure if you can carry it in your probally under the limit. which reminds me better check the winter menu to see what wines are on the list for next week http://www.ausbt.com.au/files/Qantas%20First%20Lounge%20Winter%202015%20breakfast%20menu.pdf
  14. well it a qantas approved roll on and if I'm flying other than economy and it iternational yes as I get my own locker. if economy I have a soft bag that I can fit around others bags. so from what your saying your the one breaking the rules as you can only have ONE carry on bag.....
  15. delayed luggage can be an awesome thing if you have the right insurance, I always carry one change of clothes in my check in to cover me for that, so can end up giving you some more travel cash..
  16. ok so: http://www.airberlin.com/site/affiliate/unternehmen/agb/ABB_en.pdf airline is liable for up to 2200, you need to contact their lost luggage dept to claim. that's if it's lost lost as in never coming back. if they find it (which is most cases they do) theya re not liable for anything and will transport it to you. eg they courier to your hotel. At that point should be checking Travel insurance as most ahve a clause that you get an allowance per day (if more than 24 hours) that bags are lost for you to purchase new clothing with. eg I use covermore a bit so they have from 200-1000 payment if luggage delayed more than 24hours: http://www.covermore.com.au/compare-our-plans and 3-12K for lost luggage
  17. so track day? or I have to pay for tax return first?
  18. well that depends on how good your accountant is.. speaking off......
  19. Most have a process you can go though to claim. capped at a fairly low figure. what the airline? much better using your travel insurance as they pay out faster and more.
