Hi guys just after a little advice, in the next few weeks im putting my vl in the shop to have intercooler piping made, and at the same time i am going to get them to put in my ebay manifold and dump pipe, which still allows turbo to sit in factory position and re use all existing oil and water lines etc. What id like to know is my options for a turbo upgrade, rest of engine package is pretty stock xcept for front mount and plan to run more than factory boost so i only want a mild upgrade that will still be responsive but have potential for more power. Im thinking of going series 2 rb25 turbo, will this all bolt up like factory....what do i need to get with it??? I dont want to spend huge amounts of cash on the turbo as i dont plan on chasing massive power with this engine, so is there a decent ebay upgrade turbo or perhaps a sponsor has an upgrade turbo that will bolt to all factory positions, id like to spend around $600 tops on an upgrade aftermarket turbo, i know ill get a 33 turbs for $300 so just after some advice. ok so ell me then would this be achievable? or would i need bigger AFM or would aftermarket ecu negate this? 100% stock internal rb25det. 600x300x76 FMIC 3 inch mandrel bent turbo back exhaust bigger injectors and pumps (budget $500 as i alreadhy have pumps) aftermarket ecu (budget $2000) appropriate BB turbo (budget $2000-$2500) high mount exh manifold and possible external gate (budget $1000-$1500) Ok so with the above setup could i reach 275rwkw through a standard gts-t r33 manual box? prob need new clutch. so with around a budget of say $6000 is that possible? thanks in advance

Its going into my vl, what is the easiest and cheapest way to get to 250rwkw safely and able to run it all day??? car already has fmic 600x300x76 and will have full 3 inch turbo back exhaust. i guess what i want to know is just with these mods and an upgraded turbo could i retune the stock ecu to achieve the 250rwkw. staying with standard injectors? the vl already has big fuel pumps. thanks in advance

as above i have a set of 20 inch chromies to suit skyline, commodore and more. They are a 5 stud multi fit and will fit other cars. Untill yesterday the rims were %100 showcar perfect now they are %99.9 as they were treated to a tiny scratch at a wheel and tyre shop, but you wouldnt see it unless i pointed it out. Tyres are 245/35/20 ZR and are continental contisport contact. oh i forgot to mention i want a turbo that will bolt to the standard manifold flange, cheers. it doesnt matter if i have to use an adaptor but the manifold is brand new and cost me a lil bit -
hi all i am looking at getting 220rwkw from my rb20det powered vl calais. what i know i am definately using is: rx7 series 5 injectors (550cc?) bosch 040 or 044 pump aftermarket exhaust manifold split dump pipe 600x300 fmic was also thinking of z32 afm and coil pack upgrade.... would these two mods beneccessary the turbo i was going to use was a GT3071R with std rb25turbo exhaust housing but i dont know if it will be too laggy or still flow well enough on std r33 rear housing. I will be getting it tuned by dr-drift. so im just stuck on turbo choice really, i dont want a lag monster, but all i had before i take on this build was the standard rb20det turbo running 14psi so i dont know how laggy the new turbo will be. so suggestions for turbo are needed really, i just dont want something that is going to stop pulling in the high rev range. what are everyones suggestions. How Much Power Is Realistic For My Rb20det

i may have been misinformed but i was told the series 5 rx7 injectors were a straight swap. If not i will just run the gtr injectors and ballast resistor from kudos motorsports. the gtr injectors are 444cc right. how much rwkw are they good for? and if i had a GT3071R would it be overly laggy, when would it start to make boost and when could i expect full boost. (i dont know how much i can run yet so say would 16psi be safe with all stock internals?) -
hi all im only new to this forum and i have already found it extremely useful. ok i have an rb20det in my vl calais and am in the process of building up the motor basically with boltons,what do u think i could expect from the following combo? Z32 AFM rx7 series 5 550cc injectors bosch 040 or 044 or gtr pump either GT3040R or GT3071R turbo im unsure yet as to what turbo i am going to use, but will retain internal wastegate either way 600x300x76 fmic aftermarket exhaust manifold 3 inch split dump pipe 3 inch mandrel bent exhaust and have the stock ecu retuned by sam at dr drift oh yeah car is a 5speed 33 box and diff is 9inch lsd with 4.11s if this makes any difference what power do u think i could see, all internals r completely stock do you think 220rwkw is dreaming or could i nearly get there? thanks heaps
