Uneven Tyre Wear Lhs Vs Rhs
Taleb Tyres replied to fanasty13's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
+1 its our roads and driving, front left is always the first to show signs of wear and tear and if you usually follow the same route to work/home etc then this does affect it see it every day. Alignment could be 100% and this will still happen, especially on FWD. -
Recommendations For Mobile Car Security Dealers
Taleb Tyres replied to GTR_JOEY's topic in New South Wales
+1 for Leon, has done all our personal skylines in the past. -
Either 225 40 18( will give it a slight stretch) or 235 40 18( better suited for performance) And a 245 40 18 or 255 35 18 rear. Both will work nice on the rear on the 9". 265 rear you would want a 235 40 18 front. And yes going too wide on the front will cause tram lining which does get VERY annoying! Depends on what tyres you are looking to fit on.

Fellow i know bought one, the dash cracked down the middle after about 6 months of use, "sun damage" they TRIED to put it down to... Like others have said, buy a used Toyota or Nissan etc, Actually a mate of mine just picked up a Ford Ranger from the auctions last week, very well priced for its age and condition, may be worth looking into that too.

Tuned and only runs on bp ultimate, Car has much more potential for bigger power if the new owner desires but this is more than enough for me. General condition: Car has done a genuine 67661 km's as of this morning when i brought it in to renew the rego due next month. The bodywork alone would be worth a fair amount as anyone who would have looked at doing this would know, the car does need a good buff and polish, Have barely driven the car in the past two years now that i have my 4wd back on the road, just dont have the time to enjoy it, which is the main reason i am selling, that and wanting to put the money towards other ventures. You've probably sorted this out by now, but for future reference, changing toe is piss easy, the mechanic should have been able to at least line them up by eye, would've taken two minutes to do. You can do this yourself if you get stuck in the same situation all you need is some spanners, i think its a 19mm and a 14 from memory, or even a shifter will do, just undo the locking nut on the tie rod and turn the tie rod until you can get the toe at a suitable angle, then tighten, should get you by without damaging components or wearing tyres, or risking an accident!

Michael, what size tyre are you basing your stock R34 calculation on? stock is a 245 40 18 with overall diameter of 653mm. 275 30 19 is -5mm overall diameter under, approx 0.77% difference 275 35 19 is 22mm over with 3.37% difference. According to RTA/RMS you are allowed 15mm difference +/- in diameter so the 275 30 is legal and the 275 35 is not, plus as you said the 275 30 clears and the 275 35 does not. Hope this helps clear any confusion. EDIT: forgot to add that the -/+ 15mm is for NSW, not sure on VIC standard for diameter and tyre sizing.
