  1. Bump, need to sell!!!!! Next car is ready, MAKE ME AN OFFER!
  2. Fairly straight forward I would think, considering the same engine conversions get done. You might need custom engine mounts.. But everything else should pretty well bolt up. Not sure about tailshaft, and rear setup for the mx73 are 4 stud axles, and F series diff, whereas the mx83's are G series diff and 6 stud axles... ECU/Loom should be the same, considering none of the electrics are really original apart from accessories. But, this car is setup, why would you want to put it in an mx83, apart from maybe 5 stud hubs? The MX73 still has eletric everything. Having said this, I do have the number of a guy who wanted to buy the car (who thought it was stock, but loved the look) So if you put the 5m or 7m back into it you could probably get some money back that way too... Hope this helps Let me know asap if you're interested, won't be for sale for that much longer I don't think
  3. Point taken. Item: 1985 Toyota MX73 Cressida, heavily modified. Location: South East QLD Item Condition: Modified, Mechanically perfect, Paint and Interior is fantastic for age. Needs a proper tune, bit of dash/door trims cosmetic work. Reason for Selling: Relationship + cost. I was going to keep it forever, but you have to make sacrifices etc. Price and Payment Conditions: 10,000 ONO NEGOTIABLE Extra Info: Note: There was no manual cressidas released in Australia There was no manual 1uz's released ever. There are very few 1uzs on standalone ECUs. 1UZ-FE ('Lexus V8') 6 bolt mains, 4 cams, 32 valves, 3998cc, Forged Crank/Rods/Pistons. Able to rev to 9000rpm on stock internals, Stock bottom end good for 1000HP. All Alloy motor, lighter than a 2JZ, and any other V8 out there. List of mods: Engine: 1UZ-FE out of a Toyota Crown, Estimated around 150,000kms (like a new 1uz with a Celsior sump). Rebuilt in February 09 with Cometic Stainless Steel Racing Head Gaskets and ARP stud kit. Originally torqued to about 50lbs, (spec) but after getting motor back in car was leaking out the gasket. Sent back and retorqued to 55lbs because of a repression in the gasket (Supposed to be there, just the way they're made). This also reduced compression very slightly (Wouldn't know exact figures, but Scott would). Heads inspected, checked for trunes, cleaned and re-assembled. All bearings, seals, and belts replaced, timing belt, water pump etc. New 18" Thermo Fan New Water temp sensor Drivetrain: W58 Toyota Supra box New throwout bearing New Exedy heavy duty pressure plate Dyna Clutch Detroit Truetrac Torsen 4.11 LSD (Worm gear driven, doesn't wear out, handles huge HP) Custom tailshaft Lightened Flywheel EFI: Walbro Fuel pump (not sure which model, decent one tho) Wolf 3D V4 ECU with Hand controller, PC software and cable Apexi Pod Filter Entire engine-bay re-wired when engine was rebuilt and put back in New TDK Spark plug leads Accessories/Stereo: Momo Steering Wheel New Calibre Oil Pressure, Water temp and Boost gauges (black face with red illumination). I have yet to wire them in, probably in next few days. JVC DVD Head unit w/ 7 band parametric EQ 7" Foldout LCD JL 6" front Splits Momo Polk 6x9 3 way rears Kenwood 4 channel 400w amp Response 4x150rms, bridged @ 4 ohms @ 320wrms per side Clarion 500W 12" sub in box Factory Electronic ariel hooked up to head unit Remote Central Locking + Car Alarm (Wolf hand controller can be set up with a pin code to start it for security, transporter style Other: Factory exhaust headers into 2.5" single to an X-Force twin tip muffler Power Steering Power Windows Power Mirrors Air-con option (No compressor, but easy enough to hook back up, all piping/condenser etc. still there) MA61 1" drop Supra rear king springs (= 3" drop on cressida) Antera 16" Italian racing wheels. 300ZX TT 4 piston calipers Slotted front rotors and discs ENGINE MODIFICATIONS ARE PLATED AND 100% LEGAL All mechanical work inculding engine and drivetrain done by Scott Hampton (The 1UZ guru of Australia) @ Venom Custom Fabrications, with receipts. All other labor and electrical work done by myself and Rich O'neil (The Celsior guru of QLD). I generally bought the car as is. I have added the LSD, rebuilt motor with stainless gaskets, gaugues, and stereo, and rewired the engine bay. I was going to get it turbo'd but that all changed with the rebuild, ran out of cash generally, but everything is ready to go. Hard work is mostly done, All that is needed is bigger injectors and turbos/lines/piping. That motor will take 20psi all day every day without a drama, it's bulletproof. Estimated power @ 10 psi (which was what i planned to run it at) is about 400rwhp, give or take. If someone buys this as a turbo project Scott reckons it will run 12s easily, and most likely 11s in full street trim. Might want some wider rubber tho . Would make an excellent drifter. Easy to put an M90 on it Scott could also assist with that. Needs a tune. Running super rich at the moment, so with a tune it will save a lot in fuel and give you way more hp Only ever run on Vortex fuel and oil changed every 10,000kms with havoline fully synthetic. Paint has a few little chips/scratches, but is original and in very fine condition. Interior is mint apart from dash (kind of butchered... hasn't been put back together since rebuild) and the front door trims, whic were wrecked when someone broke into it and ripped out gauges/front door speakers. But I know a dude who has a spare cressida sittin in his back yard for parts so could get entire dash + door trims most likely. I really love this car to bits and never ever planned to sell it but have to be thinking of the future, and it's just not an ideal car at the moment. Pm me if you wanna come look at it/drive it. I already have a car lined up to buy, so I really only want cash offers, no swaps, unless it's a super aristo. Cheers Oh and needs a wash Thanks Simon VIDEOS: before motor was taken out the 2nd time for the heads to be retorqued: and in-car (you'll see what i mean about the dash) Contact Details: pm me or sms 0407162720

  15. Wrong offsets for my car. Bugger. Would buy them otherwise =\
  16. the wheels are stored at my mates house atm, due to someone having my address and not rockin up, so just a precaution that mate is also interested in the wheels tho. He owns an EB Falcon. They will suit said EB very nicely. If I get the $$ off him i'm not gonna be that worried about it. but PLEASE it'd be great if this went on a NISSAN! or at least a jap car! lol just out of principle.
  17. The difference you see is the offset and desing of the rear wheel to have more dish. This should answer your question:
  18. ya i'm not 100% sure what the go is with the offsets. They have more dish at the rear so they should sit out towards the guards. The only thing that is wierd is that they have a smaller offset on front than rear, usually it's the other way round, but they do have less dish on the front and a big plate thingo on the inside to clear big brakes. I guess it's just trial and error...
