  1. sounds loke a great idea. also check alignment of compressor if it isnt square 2 balancer and adjusting pulley it will distroy belt.
  2. another way around this it paint your intercooler black like i have done, it helps with cooling, doesnt stand out, and adds to the stealth look. but it was very hard painting a hks cooler!!! it will only work with gtrs and other front mounts not with side or top mounts. not saying it is legal but as someone else said what they cant see they cant pick on you.
  3. desperatly need 2 find some turbo oil drain hoses!!! mine split and leak real bad. nissan dont make them anymore, enzed and other hose places cant get them either. HELP!!! where do i get them? they are 4 an r32 gtr.
  4. just go 2 repco and get some gasket paper and make up a new one, metal on metal wont damage anything just leak.
  5. in qld you can make as many mods 2 intake as u want u just have 2 enclose the pod (i do rwc and mod plates) but i have twin pods not enclosed and cops pull me over at least once a week and i have never been defected??? what state u in???
  6. the best i had was 200 and worst was 80 2 a full tank!!! never done a long trip though. it does depend on mods and driving style too. when i built it fuel consumption wasnt on my list.
  7. when the flat spot happens can u hear a popping sound from the exhaust? if so coil packs and plugs. get your mechanic 2 check fuel pressure and check for computer codes/faults and check boost pressure. the reason it doesnt happen in 1st is 1st gear doesnt load up the engine, the other gears load it up.
  8. i have just done all this 2 mine and i am a mechanic with my own shop and it started out as a basic rebuild cause mine ran lean at 22psi and melted no 6 piston, cracked the ring land on no 5, and did the big end on no 6. i stopped counting the cost at $25,000 (and no labour) if it is low on compression on no 6 piston it usually is melted piston/cracked ring land (if u run high boost)? it is not an easy job, the best way 2 do it is remove engine and box and sub frame/crossmember. and the cause was a lazy fuel pump!!!
  9. the law is the filter must be enclosed, if u make up a shield out of alloy or stainless and enclose the filter it is legal and will peform better cause of the under bonnet temps are very high then make up a duct system for cold air. legal, more power, and still sounds good.
  10. its hard 2 improve on perfection!!! but lowering, nice nims, clean paint, custom plates and dont remove your wing! (personal choice) i prefer go than show, mine is near stock looking but imaculate and gets plenty of looks. fit a wild body kit and the cops never leave u alone! thats why i have gone back 2 stock, but i still get pulled over at least once a week, but never defected.
  11. im paranoid about leaving my car anywhere!!! it has never left my sight except when i got the engine done but i checked up on it every day and when it is in my shed. the shed is alarmed and car has a tracker alarm system. and i have had it 4 over a year.
  12. i have an r32 gtr with 600+rwhp and i only get 150ks to a tank if im lucky, but i dont know how to drive it easy. the worst i got was 80ks to a full tank but i was having fun!
  13. full of oil, always used mobil 1, im sus about internal leaking (bearing clearance) but it is all new??? i hope the gauge is faulty!!!!! but they have had it all week and i havnt heard back yet. might give them a call tomorrow.
  14. hi im chris, im new 2 this site. i have a 32 gtr with a full hks engine, n1 block, n1 oil and water pump and the oil pressure was up near 8 bar when i picked it up from the engine builder and now it has 1000ks on it and now has below 4 when cold and the gauge sits about 5mm above 0 when hot? i dont think its right! it is in getting looked at now and he said it was pretty normal? i dont think it is normal. what should it run? any advice.
