  1. Dan it really was in excellent condition for it's age, no question it has been looked after. I have found the FI range of pads to be a cut above the Edge pads. I have a heap of Menz at least 1 full bottle of each grade so I won't be running out in a hurry which is a pain because I really want to get into the CAP range at mate it with the FI pads. What's the RE night Dan?
  2. Hey there guys, I detailed Nick's car, firstly Nick. Thanks. It was a pleasure to work on, also thanks need to go to Zolts for lending a hand. Those LM's are a beautiful wheel and the PWC does a fantastic job so very easy, it is quite simply THE BEST wheel cleaner on the market IMO. I kid you not, spray on leave to dwell then high pressure hose off. It is in stunning condition for a car of it's age a credit to Nick and it's previous owner. In all honesty I could have spent another 4 or 5 hours on the car and it would have come up better but time did not allow. I really would have liked to remove the wheels and clean them inside and out as well as tidy up the wheel wells, spend some more time removing old crusty polish/wax from the seals and panel gaps, it was really caked in there. Nick if you want it done again sometime down the track I'll get you to leave it with me for a week-end and I can go to town on it!! For those after a run down and products here goes; Wash (Nick kindly washed it for me) Wheels with Final Inspection (F.I.) Power Wheel Cleaner (PWC) Clay Magic claybar and lubricant (the most important step) 1 pass with Menzerna Final Finish on F.I. black pad with Festool Rotex I had expected to do 2 passes but the paint responded very well to the one pass (again time was an issue) 50/50 Isopropyl Alchohol/distilled water wipe down to remove polish residue and prep paint for sealant. 1 layer of F.I. Seal synthetic sealant which should give 3 months protection, possibly longer given the car is garaged 90% of the time. Seal needs to be applied the left 12 to 15 minutes to cure then wiped down with a damp microfibre cloth then with a dry microfibre. Seal is a great product, so slick as Nick said you really have to feel how silky it is. Sure the preperation is 95% of the finish but Seal just makes all the hard work on the machine worthwhile. Headlights were polished with Final Finish on black pad, they had some light haze but certainly not bad, just gives them a crisper finish. I certainly could have done 2 stage polish and they would have come up better again with some Z14. Nothing but the best Aquatouch Microfibre cloths touched the car, I have a bag of 50 ish used ones I have to wash!! For those asking if I can do thier cars, yes I can, although I have 4 in waiting ATM, IS200, E46 M3, F6 and a C63. I do this as a hobby and really enjoy it, a great stress relief from a fairly demading office work life. If you want to PM questions please do (although might take me a few days to reply so be kind!!), if there is demand I can post up some pics of some other cars I have done in the past. Cheers Daz.
  3. To the member that PM'd me about the tyres, I will reply to your PM tonight. For some reason the reply window is infinitly long meaning I cant scroll far enough to the right to hit the reply button. Will try from home :?

  11. I can certainly put some more photos up, for you. As for the other comments you will have to ask the 100+ WRX club members that voted for my car.
  12. Time has come to part ways with my beloved bugeye. Love this car to death and would not part with it but went for a dance in another and have decided to make the move to new pastures as it were. December 2000 build MY01, first registered in April of 2001. Blue/black in colour 107xxx kms travelled All the usual WRX standard features, cruise control, climate control, electric windows & mirrors. Dual action sunroof (god I will miss it!) The car is always garaged, I have worked for myself since owning the car so the only time it is not garaged is when it is in use. The winner of the WRX Club show and shine "best Bugeye" other club members will attest to it's finish, I am a self confessed "anally retentive owner" and it is always washed & waxed. The car will be sold with most of the performance modifications intact, these include: SMT6 piggy back chip AVO cast collector AVO stainless steel down pipe AVO stainless steel race cat HKS Hi Power cat back Stainless steel exhaust AVO silicone intake pipe Samco intercooler pipe kit (Y-pipe, BOV return pipe & throttle body pipe) Carbon fibre STi bonnet scoop 02 STi splitter DBA 5000 2 piece rotors RB74 brake pads Calipers painted metallic dark grey with orange writing (have just been rebuilt) Lowered springs (on standard struts) Brand new windscreen STi fog light covers Camber bolts to front & rear Clear indicators Colour coded reflectors Alpine 6.5 inch splits on custom mounts, both front doors have been sound deadened with dynamat. STi floor mats The car has been dynoed at AVO for a peak of 156kW @ wheels. This is on standard boost, the power comes from the breathing mods only not simply cranking up the boost!!! 100k service has been done at 98k kms so the expense has been taken care of ($1000 right there!) There are some things that I need to do before any inspections from interested parties but I wanted to get the ball rolling so to speak. Not all the photos are indicative of the cars current state, so please be aware of a few things: Personalised plates are not included in the sale Black WORK Emotions are not included (MY01 17's will be re-fitted before sale) It now has the standard grill & STi foglight covers and will be incuded. I have an asking price of $26 500. (registration as per forum rules BXRPWR, note they are not for sale with the vehicle) With all the extra's (approx $6000+ worth) and condition I feel that is a reasonable benchmark, offers around this mark will be considered. On with the photos, more will follow when I have the time to take them!! ^^^ car is dirty in this pic grrrrrr!!! Please ask as many questions about the car as you like I am more than happy to answer Contact: Darryn Location: Hampton East (VIC) Mobile: 0438761396 Alternatively PM or post here
