I wouldnt bother paying 10K if u are ever going to drive it. The difference would be that for a 10K paint job the car would be metal finished meaning no bog what so ever (not that theres anything wrong with it) I had my bluebird resprayed for 3500 and its pretty good job.

But munros is the 3 litre stroker so so its limited to "only" 10,000 if thats the red line i wouldnt know. But i think the fastest gtr's int he world run the 2.7 or so L strokers so they still can keep the huge revs?

the auto would help it get off the line well, say a 7,000 stall would do nicely!

I was talking about the japanese cars such as the HKS gtr and other tuning house full drag cars. I can undersand keeping a street car manual. But i dont know why say for example the hks gtr is manual still, it could pick up alot of time going to a set up auto even tho the development for that would be a long time int he making.

In drag racing auto will always be king. I dont know why the japs keep manual, i think they rather keep it the way it is rather then running quicker times. They seem to be set in there ways and dont like to change. But auto and turbo cars in australia is definatly on the increase. Look at the mick guys r32 gtr, uses a 2 speed power glide built by MV autos and ran low 10 sec pass off the trailer! the rigolies accent dropped nearly a second from going from manual to auto. Try 9s and various other sub zero vuilt skylines all auto. All the quick top 10 vl turbos auto. FJ 20 200B in adleiade that runs low 10's. Its only a matter of time that autos become move avalible for gtr's et that they will become more popular.

Regency say that the emissions test that he does isnt even worth the paper it is printed on. seriostly. the facts are (ring regency and ask them straight out) FACT u can not run an aftermarket computer u can not run an aftermarket turbo charger u can not run anything other then say on IC which i have heard they pick on some times too. I rang regency and they said the only emissions reports they accept are Mitsubishi (like 4K) and one in melbourne that is cheaper. Regency are looking at buying there own emissions testing equipment so it will be cheap as or free but they dont know when this will be happeneing.

i used to goto port agusta with timmy for R/C car racing, pretty long drive would ****ing hate it with 4.11's int he rear for high speed cruising

and who said this, some ppl tryed to tell me there was going to be a defect station on the way to drift day but i didnt see one cop.

I dont know if i will be able to enter the drag day at this stage as im having ignition problems. Seems i will have to get some Autronic iginition coils ($1500) so i dont know when that will be happening. Also got to get the pick up of the tank modded.

Also i think the cops dont "want" to defect as much anymore, i went through a bretho with the gtir and the had a whinge about rego sticker not up, number plate to the side etc but no fines or defects. Also i was with say 15 cars at mt lofty and a cop came up and said they wont defect anyone unless they drift/burnouts etc. In my personal experience it seems they have been told not to defect anymore.

I have been told (could be wrong) that in other states that have confiscation rules defects are basically never given out. If this is the case it might bring back the times of tubbed drag cars cruising up and down anzac highway once more... but then whats the fun of having a tubbed drag car on the street but cant thrash it lol...

As i would be trailering my car in i was going to bring a few guys to help me if i break something etc. I supose they wouldnt complaine about 2 ppl coming in. As it would probably be the first time the car would be run so plently of things will be expected to go wrong. Also what are the desired slicks to be used, i heared hoosiers arent really the best???

How many ppl are u allowed to bring in a pit crew, can u also bring another pit car with tools, parts etc? also can u race more then 1 car if u are the driver with out paying two entry fees?
