  1. Thanks for the tips guys, unfortunately the car didn't come with a hand controller and I missed out on getting one that was on ebay last week..... guess I'll just have to wait until Thursday. One other thing I found strange was that when I took it back to the yard they commented on the boost setting being on 15PSI, I told them I hadn't touched it and couldn't of anyway due to it being a PFC boost controller, and they advised me they reset it to 13PSI. Could they have done something dodgy?
  2. Hey ppl, I've had my Stagea 260RS now for 3 weeks and it's started doing some strange things. 1st off, it starting backfiring/stuttering up past 4500rpm with WOT - I read through the myriads of post regarding coil packs etc and checked mine, couldn't find any cracks etc but taped them up anyway. 2nd, changed the spark plugs from the NGK V-Groove's to NGK Iridium and gapped to 0.8mm (I know they won't be any better but just wanted to change them to rule them out) I took the car back to the car yard and was told that a hose had popped of the fuel pressure regulator which did seem to fix the problem until.... I gave it a good hard boost and now it's fuel cutting around 5000rpm. Does the PFC have a fuel cut programmed in for some reason like detonation? I put my 32 GTR stock ECU in and it runs a lot better but instead of fuel cutting it backfires/stutters as per no. 1!!! It is going into Boostworx on Thursday for a complete re-tune but was hoping to just pay for a re-tune and not a lot of diagnostics. I've read through Pauly's tutorials on the PFC but couldn't find anything relating to my problem. Any ideas??
  3. Guess you've done that!
  4. You may have a blocked line somewhere, have you checked all your vacuum/pressure lines from the solenoid to the wastegate actuators? I had a problem with my 32 GTR but I had a leak so the turbos were overboosting due to not seeing much pressure - yours may be the opposite. Another thing to check is your intercooler hoses attached to the cooler - make sure they're tight as.
  5. PM please.... may come out depending on loc.
  6. Hmmm... not really a fan, but if it's RB26 equipped would probably be worth it. Looks like real GTR fenders. Edit: original Autech just a little more subtle And as per your previous.
  7. That's for a R33 Autech 4 door GTR?? If so that's ridiculously cheap!!
  8. All excellent photos but especially like this one, really accentuates the curves in the 33.
  9. Yeah Jarrad that'd be me! The plates are actually RBE 026 but who's counting! There's another grey GTR also down south with RBO 026 that I quite often drive past and park next to! And like I said in the above post - I think it's time for a southern cruise, it's been about 3 years since I've taken my car out and now that it's (they're) actually running should make the most of it!
  10. Sorry about that Kye... maybe we should catch up soon for a southern cruise then, there's about 3 R32 GTR's within about 3km's of each other!!
  11. Thanks for the kind words guys... Rob, don't really have any ideas in the short term as it's my daily driver for work now hence the reason I bought it - no more Hi Ace Van It definately needs some more power or an electronic boost controller to help it come on boost quicker. I drove the 32 after not driving it for 2 weeks and it's a lot quicker than the Stagea albeit a lot lighter. I don't know how those of you with stockish 33 GTR's think of them but mine does seem rather laggy, but I'm sure a pair of 25/30's or some T517Z's would fix that!
  12. Hey all - thought I'd join Heslo and Dovla and share some photos, not quite in the same league but you can't beat a sunset/dusk shot! Now just need to get a nice shot of the GTR and Stagea together.
  13. Maybe try somewhere like Pirtek, I think they come out too but charge a call out fee or alternatively just take your parts in and see what they can do for you. Failing that finding a wreck somewhere. Btw, what sort of $$$$ does it cost to upgrade just out of curiosity.
  14. Nice pics and tough car to go with them! Use the IMG & /IMG tags if you want to embed them, but you probably knew that already I like the SKYLINE lit up on the back - looks bloody good! Would like to see how it's done. Edit: looks like they're embedded now
  15. Hate to sound naive... but where and what is AMMRR??
  16. Bloody hell!!! Your surname isn't Munro is it??
  17. Well I've now done about 300km's which is more than enough to get a decent feel for it and honestly - I love it! A lot nicer to drive than the R32. I do understand I could've got one cheaper but I didn't pay much over $36K in the end and I feel the car is well worth it, the R34 GTR rims and steering wheel are probably worth the difference from $34K anyway. Anyways - hope to see you all on a cruise sometime soon. Edit: GRIM R32 - you have an R32 GTR as well!!! That my friend is rather freaky!! What colour? If it's gunmetal then it's a triple snap. Hopefully see you out somewhere so I can check out your beast(s).
  18. That's definately on the agenda! But just not sure how much an R34 GTR front end minus engine would be worth..... but yeah, as per below - tough as! Picking it up tomorrow morning probably, only problem is (well not really a problem) I've got a coporate ticket to the 500.... so won't be able to drive it until later tomorrow night!! Damn it, why do all good (and bad) things come at once! CW.
  19. Shaun, yeah that's the one. There's actually another one in there - but a series I, looks black but is actually very dark blue. CW.
  20. Hi people, been awhile since I was on here, but just thought I'd share with you my excitement at the moment. Some of you may have seen the 260RS Stagea SII for sale at Sinergy lately. I ummed and ahhed for a week over it, originally wanting an R34 GTR but considering my work I decided with the 260RS. Test drove it early this week and what can I say but unbelievable! So hopefully I can catch up with you all again sometime and join in on a cruise somewhere! Now..... what to do with the 32 GTR??? Regards, Craig.
  21. Fair call Paul, running anything over 12PSI is of course a risk - but just for your info, I've been running 15PSI on my '93 R32 GTR since I got it 5 years ago and I've done 55,000km's and about 100 drag passes in it. Never had a problem with the turbos.
  22. The RB26 definately has 2 AFM's - one for each turbo inlet. I don't think you would notice a huge difference between a stock airfilter box and aftermarket pods running 12PSI. I had an ARC induction box (aluminium) on my 32 GTR when I first bought it. Ran a 12.4 with that on 15PSI then changed to twin pod filters and ran the exact same time, dynoed at 215kw at the rear wheels. You can safely run 15PSI on an RB26, so maybe a digital boost controller may be the go as well. I'm also picking up a 260RS (hopefully tomorrow), and after test driving it I really can't believe it feels the same and handles the same as my 32 GTR - can't wait to run them side by side!! http://www.sinergymotorsports.com.au/displ...um=23&pos=4 Regards, Craig.
  23. Thanks heaps guys... Will get back to you R34 T88...... I'd really like to get some R33's but I'll see how I go.
  24. Looking for 2 x turbos for my R32 GTR after dropping an exhaust wheel. Would like to upgrade to stronger (hopefully) turbos from R33 or R34. Don't want to spend more than $800 for the pair, so that probably rules out R34's. Also let me know if you have a single R32 turbo for sale - just in case I don't have any luck with the others. I'm in Adelaide but willing to pay freight.
  25. Mr Nightcrawler I'm good Andrew, really sick of driving everywhere in the work car though. Would be nice to have my wheels back by Christmas - just want to get it running again and then look at turbos next year. Sounds like everyone's cars are still going strong - good to hear!
