Drove into the RAAF base behind a nice white Stag this morning - had a bit of a chat with the owner, nice to see some Jap presence out there with Pete's old GTR there as well. And on my way through Aberfoyle Park earlier saw another white Stag with gold rims - exchanged waves as we drove past..... didn't recognize the car though.

Spotted what looked like Luke's R34 4 door on West Lakes Bvd today around 4ish.... only had an asian girl driving it!! Exactly the same stance, same colour, with fat wheels and the little carbon fibre boot lip on it too..... weird! Also saw the same white Stag with S plates I regularly see at the cnr of Grange and Tapleys (at least twice a week), and Mel in her silver Stag on Happy Valley Drive around 6ish.

John, seeing the 33 on the track yesterday was awesome! How many litres of fuel do you use per lap?? The amount of exhaust coming out the side is beyond comprehension!! And Chad - as much as I love your 32 it'd be good to see the Stag out there (minus trailer of course ), more family spec wagons the better!

Spotted Rodney in the green beast and FR33K both heading to work on Tapleys / Anzacs - mini Stag cruise (3 stags in 3 lanes ) for about 3 mins!!

Not trying to bag the guy in the Colt but he was pushing it pretty hard all day, and through the esses my mate noticed that one of his rear wheels was continually off the ground. He was definately unlucky rolling it and no one deserves that but in the end at least he walked away relatively unharmed (from what I could see). The car looked awfully stiff with not much body roll at all, could have played a part in the accident. (Vu - That's a bloody good pic mate, how's your timing!! ) Edit: or maybe it wasn't yours!! Whoevers it is, they did well!

What a day! Some unbelievably good cars out. Highlights being John Munro's and Keir Wilson's cars down the first straight.... ridiculously quick!! Oh, and seeing the Colt roll - was in shock seeing that - poor bugger. Anyways, some pics. Save your money and spend it on the engine or a nice front mount if you haven't got one already...... You'll quickly get sick of a S1 that's trying to be a S2 and may have trouble selling it when the time comes.

Has anyone tried the mobile phone app that does lap times via the GPS? Interesting to know if it works well and is accurate. The one I downloaded is called RaceChrono.

Funny how people think that - I lived in Flagstaff Hill (yes you live there Jake???) for 12 years, had 2 cars stolen, 1 which was written off and I think from memory my car(s) broken into 3 times. Moved further down south and (touch wood) never had a problem, accidently left my windows down in the GTR several times which was parked only on the driveway - gone out the front in the morning and shit myself until I realised nothing had been done. Obviously it'd happen sooner or later if I kept doing it!

Kim, is it necessary to have done the Advanced Driving course? Have a mate (with a nice bayside blue 34 GTT) at work keen but he didn't do the advanced course - has racing experience though in rally. If it's not a problem we'll both fax off our forms on Thursday.
