sorry guys havent been on sice i started the post. i would be interested in arep3's mechanics advice and how you go with your "run in" i havent really askd my mechanic the best way yet but im pretty sure he said take it easy for the first 1000 i will ask him in detail... let me know how you go my car is about a month and a bit away still he just started ordering parts. do you guys really think its necessary to change the oil at like 200km? i guess it would be good cause you get rid of all the shavings but i thought it would be only done at 1000 - 1500 mark and that was it??

sorry boyz but i checked it all out to make the gts-t comply with the engineersyou need to change heaps of shit may as well go buy the gtr. high mount i agree is a magnent buthow easy is it to change? we all went through this before i started if you guys read the post i wanna know what power you think she will make and if i should do anything else while shes open??? no mumbo jumbo crap about legal shit its been discussed in like 75% of all posts.

yeah but you try changing an engine back to standard 2.0lt and then just try changing some parts off the 2lt back what do you think is harder/longer/more expensive/more stressfull if you get epaed??????

Well my rebuild is on the way. if anyone remember's i blew my little two litre engine at the phillip island sprints not too long ago turned out that my head gasket blew and filled the cylinder with water then BANG!!! too much boost... car was pulling 238.8rwkw with low compression. so ive finnaly got my mechanic to start the rebuild... ha ha with a few extra goodies... i chose to re build the 20 because there is too much legal issues with change overs to the 25 or the 30 im happy with the power i had any how.. here's my mods 3 inch turbo back exhause with hi flow cat gt30 450hp turbo fmic greddy boost controller 660cc denso injectors high mount exhaust manifold wolf 3d version 5 computer k and n pod filter new stuff im getting are as follows: rebuliding with forged pistons shot pinned conrods plenum cam hi flowing the head clutch oil catch can just wanted to know everyones opinions is there anything else i should do while shes open??? what power do you reckon ill make???

i wouldnt bother with a lawyer get legal aid they are good. its not worth the money. you will cop a fine up to $1000 depending on judge they can give you longer loss of licence but if they do just cop it on the chin. just dont get caught again cause then your screwed hard im in the exact situation my mate would have gone to jail for 2 years cause of a prior offence i ended up getting my second drink drive cause of that. i wasnt happy. but i had to do it cause he would have done it for me

ok thats what i wanna know. i will port the head then and put cams in. Maybe NOS next time i blow it up what you recon? anyway boys thanks for the help ive decided what im doing i will let you's all know when its done. hopefully have a reliable 250rwkw with not too much hassle from cops cheers -

thats all good but if i drop in any other engine other than the rb20 and i get epa'ed im screwed Aren't i ???? how far do they look into it if i do get epa'ed? you cant just put anything in it and hope that you dont get done for it. my head is done in............................. i just wanna drive my skyline again -
Ok i recently blew my little rb20 in my r32 but now im working on a rebuild for it my car produced 238.8 rwkw @ 19psi before i cracked a cylinder and blew a piston ring the car already had low compression so i knew it was coming The internals are stock. i decided to rebuild the 20 instead of dropping in an rb25 because there is too many legal issues With changing it over.. MY MODS GT30 turbo 450hp High mount stainless manifold 660cc denso injectors 3inch exhaust turbo back to hi flow cat hybrid Front mount intercooler fuel pump K+N filter external waste gate to screamer pipe greddy electoric boost controler i am going to strengthen the internals just so i can reliably run 20 - 22 psi Im not sure what internals i should change and what to use i dont wanna spend over $6000 on the rebuild unless i have to im getting forged pistons what else do i need? also wanna try and get a little more down low torque as everybody knows how laggy my setup is with the rb20 is there any other mods i can do to the engine while its all opened up? someone said flowing heads? or plenum? i dont even know what these are? what do you guys recon id like to do mods that you cant see just to be safe from cops even now its already obvious but easy to change back to stock Sorry for the long thread but id like help before i go see my mechanic and he tells me that ive gotta spend $10,000 to get what i want if you know what i mean... yeah thats right.. he didn't say anything about brakes but basically the whole drive line diff box ect ect im not too sure about exact things but it sounded like way too much stuf the thing is its ok if you got a stock looking engine bay with me i have a top mount manifold to a big ass turbo its no where near stock a cop will take one look and send me to epa. its not that hard to change bolt on parts back to standard but epa will see its a bigger engine i would have to change the whole thing back does anyone know how to get more low down torque/power out of the rb20? by doing engine work that cant be seen like Flowing the heads? would that give more power im already gonna put forgies conrods and stuff but i want more low down power -

i just spoke to an engineer he said to do it properly you need to change the whole drive line to the r33's then get it registered all standard then what you do to it after that is up to you bigger tubro ect ect ect. i think im just gonna re build my 20 and strengthen all the internals and keep all my mods if i get epa'ed at least ive got all the standard parts to change back otherwise i might as well just buy an r33 -

OK My name is anthony Im about to fly to tassie to have a look at an rb25 for my r32 gts-t Im from victoria so i need someone who knows what to look for when buying an engine the engine is in pieces still ready to be put back together Can anyone help?
