  8. saturday mornings would be busy as hell i'd imagine, expect maybe 40-45 mins to drive away with your car again? edit: actually thats not such a bad idea, my car got owned from rain, then got dust blown over it by strong winds while it was still wet, it looks like its been in a rally, so i think i'll get another wash before scc =P
  9. best might be an overstatement after the pub crawl i saw whole new sides of you people.... it's so wrong and i love it
  10. i'm sure there's plenty in the valley who have a 'thing' for you
  11. Hey guys, With our current weekly dinners; would a weekly, or even bi-weekly poker night be too much of a burden on everyone's social calendar? I had the idea from a couple members discussing how QLD pubs are actually holding state poker tourneys now for a minimal entry fee, or none at all. I figured this would be excellent for a few folks interested in the game, to learn or to be schooled in the art of outguessing your opponent. There's a couple options open to either compete as a club team at the pubs, a private game in a licensed bar, or simply just house party it up with dvds, pool tables, and other stuff on offer as well. So this post is basically gathering interest as to who would be up for a games night, and any folks offering the use of their premises (I know Mushroom and MrBenno have stated several times they have very awesome houses). Thoughts? Comments? Go ! Edit: I appear to have noobed the poll, just reply if you'd like to do the tourney option
  12. this makes me incredibly sad, really a gun doesn't make someone a murderer, the person who uses it incorrectly is the murderer stupid f**kwit police, and stupid f**kwits in imports

  19. woowoo there you go karen, a visual of mushroom in his DTs
  20. about 20-30 minutes (usually 15-20 for non skylines i think, lol) when i say detail i mean detail they buffed scratches out of my paint, full wax and polish, my car GLEAMS Basically, this place is a good idea if you haven't cleaned your car in a while, or have a lot of frequent passengers. My poor baby was both of those and it needed a fair touchup, so to me it's good value because i just don't have time these days to do it myself (over an hour easy) and it's not me who has to do the elbow grease =P
  21. So i got off work this morning (yay graveyards) and decided to check out the new hand car wash place at Mt Gravatt (kinda corner of logan and creek rd, towards computer alliance/shell servo) and give my baby some loving. Cost me $33 bucks for the Worx, inside and out detailing. You basically drive your car up, order your wash of choice, leave it in the driveway and pop into the cafe on site for a coffee and cake while you wait and watch the guys work. Of course this sounds like a shameless plug, but i can't really say enough good things about this place. They're obviously skyline enthusiasts, as they took extra care of my car and it popped out the other side in fantastic nick. Even the scratches under the door handles (ex girls car) were fixed up, and the scrapes from my shoes on the sideskirt from getting in and out. A+ Look for the big orange signs with the hand print logo. Edit: Bumping post Since we're entering level 5 restrictions which prohbits anyone washing their cars, you might want to keep this car wash in mind as they now offer 10% discount to SAU members. They recycle their water and will be able to continue operation as we sink further into drought, and a dirty skyline makes baby jesus cry.
