  1. I asked him to have a full tune + install and dial in the cam gears. Told him that this will be a street tune, not for all out power. My goal is to get closest to the 300kw mark but have the power delivery come on at a low rev range, cause I want responsiveness over top end power. I will still go ahead with the tune with him as his reputation is right up there and at the end of the day I would rather pay to have it done right the first time. Also he has advised that he will need the car for 4 days, so I'm expecting him to take his time and get things right
  2. Yep, I have a blitz dual boost controller
  3. Thanks for your opinion guys, in no way was I saying that I wouldn't pay for quality, I was just confirming if the price sounds about right as I've been reading everyone say that they pay around the $600 mark.
  4. Hi all, I finally got all the parts I need and the new turbos in, now its time for a tune. Been searching on the site and everything suggest that I should either choose Croydon or Unigroup, of which I have chosen Unigroup for the tuning. Also seen some prices on here and by the looks of it a full tune will average around the $500 - $600 mark, not sure if I'm right here. Well i called them up today to get an estimate of a full tune and installing some HKS cam gears and was quoted $1200, saying that the cam gears will cost about $300 to install and dial in. Now is this about right? from the prices I've seen this seems a lil pricey, or am I wrong? Forgot to mention that I'm running a PFC
  5. Wow this sounds fantastic, count me in for the R32 convoy

  9. Spot on Bakes, wish I saw ur post earlier today.... I rung almost all Rays retailers in Sydney, none of them had them in stock and ordering ranged from 2 weeks to 2 mths to get in. Finally got through to MU Secret and they had not only the nuts but also a set of lock nuts to go along with them. $150 all up and no wait. Thanks for your advice guys, it set me on the right track.
  10. cheers mate will give them a go tomorrow. Any other suggestions?
  11. Hi guys, need some help here. Just bought a set of Rays GTC and because it was from a non Nissan vehicle the wheel nuts don't fit. Unfortunately the GTC's have a specific nut that's made for the wheels so I cant use any others. Wondering where I could get my hands on a set in Sydney and roughly how much would it cost. Any help would be appreciated, I want my wheels on

  16. Hi mate looking for the indicator flasher relay as in here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/R3...el-t259200.html Let me know if you have it and how much posted to Sydney. Cheers
  17. Hi all, Just wanting to know if anyone had one of these spare. Its the indicator flasher unit / relay. It's loacted under the dash below where the clock is, and secured by 1 screw. If you have one please let me know how much you want for it + postage. Here's some pics so you know what it looks like.
  18. He also sold me one, saying that he actually had 2. Hoping to get mine on Thurs so should be able to let you know how it performs. Keep in touch mate, would love to compare results
  19. HI, Just need some opinions and experiences of you guys. I'm replacing my turbos due to my turbines ending up in the cat. I have two options and needing your help to choose. 1. R33 GTR turbos freshly rebuilt with N1 internals for $1450 comes with 12mth warranty. Specs: 360 degree Thrust bearings VSR / Hi Speed Balance Nismo / N1 41.7 - 53.0 Spec Steel Turbine Pros: Can be tuned upto 300KW ATW, $1000 cheaper, relatively low lag similar to stock ones Cons: Don't know anyone thats had these and experiences, bush bearings, and pretty old tech turbo. 2. Garrett 2860-7 brand new $2400 Pros: New turbo, ball bearings, tried and tested and sworn by many modders, hardly any lag Cons: $1k more expensive Now I'm torn between these 2 as I'm aiming for around the 300kw and both are supposed to be able to do this. It will be a daily driver and will only see the occasional track maybe once or twice a year if that. I don't usually hoon around town with only the occasional spirited driving. My main concern is responsiveness, and top end power will always come second to that as I will hardly be opening her up that much. The delema is the $1k difference in price tag, and as you all know swapping turbos over can be an expensive job. Will the N1 spec one give me what I want or am I just wasting my time and money going down this route? Upside is if I do this, I can spend that money in tuning time with the Power FC (which has not been installed yet). Will I get a noticable difference in performance? All thoughts welcomed
  20. I'll take the plenum mate, could you send me your details to arrange
  21. Nice work guys, hope this all turns out well for everyone except for Mitchell. Idiots like him don't deserve a place in society !!!
  22. Thankyou very much for that info, looks like porting will be the go then, might save myself some money
  23. Really? I thought the standard R32 manifolds were quite restrictive? Please explain, as I wont bother if what your saying is correct
  24. thanks for the reply guys. Yep still running standard ecu at the moment, and no miss fire or popping when under load. I guess this will speed up the process of fitting the new turbos. Just bought a set of dumps and apexi front pipes but still looking for manifolds so that I can install all at once. Will it still be ok to drive to the work shop or am I tempting fate and could cause some bits to go through the engine?
