  1. the bov sound of the actual sound of the car? but in a short answer money and a skyline
  2. look forward to seeing how this turns out, good choice on changing the auto box, maunual is so much better. r154 boxes are good, i put one on the 2jz cressida me and my brother built. and zebra i sourced a manual halfcut a few years back for 2,500 you just need to know where to look
  3. wow, from start to finish what a great read, i believe somewhere it said you were trying to promote your business, i believe by this post it proves that you have definately got the attention.. i live in nsw but after reading this i feel like shipping my car up and emptying the bank account lol great job, kudos to your dad and brother as well. i wish my dad knew how to build cars, best he has ever attempted is repainting the roof on the sigma ahahaha
  4. What colour scheme? Yellow custom with black print? Got any pics?
  5. just to add to all perspective buyers, i knew of the car before, if you still have the exhaust system that was on it orignally (don't see why you would have) it is custom spec drag flexi piping, all interchangeable and removeable at each bend easily worth 3-4 grand. this gtr has one wicked note. good luck with the sale
  6. a few more pictures of the whole car. not cut of quarters and some interior shots might help your cause, who did the engine conversion, how long ago? also.. why does the odometer show 128,000 when you say it has done 138,000 is that a typo?
  7. yeh someone has gone i wonder what happens if i merge a lance front end with the skyline, obviously it was a fail
  8. thanks i was planning on attending as a spectator and thought if i was gunna be there then i could just fill one out but this will do also cheers
  9. yeh i understand that it, is just always nice to have proven experience, i have hks cams and the 10cm housing as well as it being stroked to 2.2ltr so i am assuming in my case it might make more of a difference, in the end the power side of things isnt really a issue i am quite happy with the current tune and power output as it is used for street duties, it was more of a clear up the engine bay and make it a bit neater with out the cross over piping lol i have got an rb25 box, and the current tune is 270kw, so with semi slicks i guess i should be looking at a low 12 if i take it down the quarter? haha great i love hearing it.. your input as always is valid, but i simply dont want an rb25, i love my rb20, it sounds amazing and no r33 that i have been in even 300kw ones had the same note, the rb25s just seem to rev for ever too, mine just goes through them quick as. now rb26 would be a different story but price wise i will stick to my rb20 until i want to crack 400kw
  10. the hardest part about trying to train like an event like this is the time constraints of trying to get a 60km ride in usually 2 hours ish depending on hills and gradient ect... if your riding every day 20 or so km thats a really good start, but its a huge difference as some have said about backing it up the next day, start easy then work your way up. remember on your longer rides it is not about speed, like said it is about Cadence training, you need to be able to spin and keep a constant speed for sometime, it takes at least a month or two to actually prepare for this. on your shorter rides, substitute your cadence training for sprint rides were you go as hard as you can for the small below 20km rides, this will improve your overall riding as well as your stamina and longer rides while there is no substitue for actually doing it, this is your next best thing. good luck
  11. thanks for the info roy, have you taken your car down the strip before/after the plazmaman or other mods? if so whats the best time you have got with what setup? plazmaman plenum was my next upgrade but after hearing what you have said i am now hesitant
  12. for the people who arent sau nsw members yet, will there be someone on the day so we can organise to get it?
  13. spotted a white r35 0307 or something you were going past as i ducked off the turnoff to homebush at 9ish this morning and on thursday was next to a black gtt that i was pretty sure i saw photography photos on here of looked very shiny
  14. how much psi were you running in the 245rwks track setup and your 285kw? on the vid u posted what power output was that? what kind of oil/coolant inlet temps do u see on street duties, and what do they change to on the track? i am curious as i have a similar setup and i havent had any track work yet but if i am planning to all this extra trialed and tested info is of great help.
  15. how much more do u plan to gain from the e85 roy? i have been thinking of going down that route but the unavailability of e85 at servo's has me concerned at present.
  16. are the extra parts used or brand new, were they ever on the car?
  17. spotted Terry's R34 GTR Vspec II and his previous R34 GTR which is now owned by his son i believe parked in front of henry street, i was driving by in the jaffa 32 with my mouth open drooling lol it was quite a site
  18. great to deal with, fast, efficent delivery reccomended sau seller

  19. i am no expert so someone can confirm my limited knowledge but i thought u would need a 4 channel amp to run the subs and the front speakers, unless the front speakers are run off the head deck, then this might be ok to power the sub. someone who knows there stuff should be able to confirm
  20. depends on where you go and what you get in terms of warranty. i am not saying that i didnt get my money's worth, i believe i did but getting it fixed is a whole different story, if this advice was here for me to read at least i would have had the knowledge to choose. if it helps one person make a better decision than in my opinion it is worth it
  21. hey guys just thought i would pass on a little info to help out people deciding on buying second hand pop out dvd players/car audio units instead of new. i bought it second hand off a forum member for what i thought was a bargin 300ish dollars. lasted a good year-year and half with no dramas. i recently have been experiencing problems with it, the screen would not function sometimes coming out when the button pressed other times not moving or only coming out half way then pausing. I eventually took it to a car audio place to find out the mechanism was gone and neded to be replaced. payed the $80 standard fee to have it sent away and looked at thinking it might cost me 100 or so dollars to fix it. got the call from the guys to find out just to replace parts in the screen and nothing else was going to cost $850 obviously this was (due to the parts not being easily available anymore.) when you factor in a brand new one with more applications cost less. even the guy at the car audio place said to me it was pretty outrageous. so while buying a second hand dvd player/unit is great for the cheaper price just be weary of the replacement cost if the pop out screen mechanism fails which is going to be an arm and a leg yt
  22. don't people read the rules anymore, or have the admins become leniant with this one! 6. No posting on behalf of others! - If your mates want to advertise their parts here on SAU, tell them to register - If you dont own it, dont post it for sale.
  23. yeh i thought that may be the case, maybe we need special parking rights like diasbled people for our cars, i ride my bike most of the time now because of the same reasons lol
  24. always been a fan of these cars, and yours seems to be one of the best examples of style and presence i have seen, gl with the sale question though, u said u are looking for a more friendly daily, isn't this good for daily driving, just curious
