Hi folks, For the past 7 months Ive been fixing my car (New head gasket and such) and Ive only just got her running a few weeks ago. Now the problem I'm having; Ive got new plugs in her, and a new Fuel filter. Its getting to operating temp like really fast, and when it does it starts to miss and knock. it also wont rev past 4 grand (not underload) I dont know whats wrong. On the way bringing it home (I live in stanthorpe, the car was in Loganlea) the exhaust got so hot it melted my brand spanking new cat Its like its either too retarded to rev properly, or too advanced and starts to knock. No matter where the CAS is (It linned up to the marks I put before I took it off) I dont know what to think about it, weather its the CAS, injectors, O2 sensor or what. Anyone else ever had this problem? If its running lean (and I think it is) how do you enrich it? Please help me, I need it running before I get my licence back in 3 weeks

Shoot, in a few weeks I could afford that, I really wanna stick an RB20DET in my car and I need it all. If your still selling in a few weeks I'll give you a buzz lol

Any chance you can do that gearbox cheaper? I dont need the tail shaft. I just want the box and cluthch. let me know.

As the title suggest, will the RB20DET intake cam go on the RB20DE and not cause me troubles? I snapped mine putting it on and this is the only one I can find with every other part I need to. need info quick!

Its had the headgasket replaced, the seals replaced, intake and exhaust replaced. New VL turbo water pump, and 2 1/2" Madrel bent exhaust into a 5" zetti cannon. Water temp, Oil Presure, and volt meter in the dash, and a 3 1/2" Speco tacho on the steering collum as the one in the dash doesnt work with the new engine. Super Hica's works great. The guy that owned it before me had put a couple of dings in it so Ive fixed those, new bootlid with the holes removed, but its white. Since Ive owned it, its been garaged, Loved and had the oil and filter changed every 7k. She has been a lovely car to me and not one problem, minus the headgasket (which is genuin Nissan gaskets) Rego'd till November. So I'm getting an Rb25 conversion, so once they take tne engine out, they will dump it or something. The engine is still in the car, so if you want it. get it off yourself or give me heads up to get it off. I have everthing including the ECU, Reco head not been used yet but is on. Ive got a 2 1/2" mandrel bent exhaust to suit RB20DE and fits a 91 onwards S13 Silvia I'm looking for about $500 for that. Recipt for about 700. Make you offer for everything else on the engine, or the engine itself. The engine did run but I blew the head gasket, and then snapped the cam shaft for the intake side. so its still a good running motor. VLT water pump ($60) and new R32 turbo radiator ($230) Gearbox, Needs to be rebuilt doesnt like going from 3rd to second. Needs new clutch. So like, apparently Hardcore is no longer. I went to a place called TTR and they wanted 10g's to do; Half cut, (4,000) brakes R32 GTS, plus diff (2,500) intercooler and piping (1,000) and a 3inch exhaust. I dont think its worth it. Does anyone know a good place to take my baby to, to get this stuff done? somewhere you've been to before and loved the results?

Will hardcore do all of that? I forgot about the RB25. thanks!

So like, I'm sick of fixing this thing... Broken cam shaft, cam shaft barings need replacing, a million other things. So Ive diceded to take it to hardcore (cause of some of the hot cars Ive seen drive outa there) and get it fixed, and modified. I have a limit of 10 big ones (not 10 dolars) and I was going to get them to do, Brakes, fix car, turbo, clutch (I spun it) and gear box needs 2nd to be rebuilt. Do you think 10g's will cover that, and possibly some? I dont wanna walk in there and sound like a moron asking for this shit and being told its gonna cost my first born, and possible my left nut.

As cheap as humanly possible, I'm flat broke (its already cost me an arm and a leg to fix it so far) just, super cheap

AAC Valve suit Silver top RB20DE (Its in my silvia and I got one as a spare) it works fine, dont know how much its worth, so $25 sound fair? Boss BAMP3000, plays MP3's. plastic thingy its worped or something? still works just great though! I lost the plug at the back but I've seen them at Autobarn for like, $15. Take it away for $20. Nokia 3210, Needs a new battery and charger. OK........ I just snapped a head bolt wtf do I do now? Is there something I can do? or do I just sell everything.....

Hi again! So I'm turbo'ing my RB20DE (Dont tell me to buy a half cut and transplant it, I dont want to) Now. Ive got the Turbo, Manifold, dump pipe, Injectors, ECU and wiring loom to suit. Am I missing something? I know Im sorta limited on boost (About 6PSI) I shouldn't have a problem cause I'll be running it on Optimax to prevent detonation. I know he NA engines have higher compression I'm not too worried about that as I just rebuilt the top end. I was gonna invest in a Piggy back type of computer and probably a dyno tune. So my question is, am I missing something? What about the oil pick up? Where would I get that from on the DE engine? I'm alittle confused.

Still needing a Workshop manual or someone who know's what they are doing. I almost really need this going by Sunday arvo as I'm moving during the week! Please help meh!

Ive just been to Nissan, Autobarn, Hardcore, Repco and a place called Drysdale Book's which imports and has every auto book. The cheapest I found was $400........ I would really love some help with this, as I cant just 'guess'. Help my Obi won Sau, You're my only hope.

Okie dokie. Ive got the head back from the shop machined and nice, new gasket's and what not. How do I line up the camshaft's and what position should the piston's be in? Does anyone have an english workshop manual for this engine, as the only one I could find was in japanese. I dont know torque settings, or the order they have to be done up in. There is nothing on the had gasket cardboard thing, and the Cylinder head place couldnt tell me a thing. I would really love help, to be directed to a web page with a copy of an english workshop manual, or someone with one that would love to bring it to me so I can have a look, lol. Please help, I would love it back together in the next few days! Thanks.

How much for turbo, manifold and dump pipe? Any shaft play on the turbo? Edit; Aswell as the ECU and wiring loom (Maybe off the half cut) Injectors and fuel pump. I'm thinking of doing a turbo RB20DE+T on my car. Maybe if your selling at the right price
