  1. I did consider slotting cross member but its not possible with the r32 xmember, can be done with the 33. Will be getting subframe modded when i send it off for exhaust and intercooler piping. Hopefully have the car done march/april next year, fund after new years are low lol. Bought most of the big expensive stuff, still need a clutch NPC quoted me about $1250 for a single plate organic that will hold 450rwkw with a billet flywheel. Mate is spraying engine bay for free still gotta pay for the tubs to be fitted and the wiring.
  2. Coated the rear housing on the turbo, was quickly gathering ugly surface rust. Scored a nice boot with a ducktail spoiler, needs some repairs and a spray but got it cheap Few other random pics here.
  3. Motor is in the car. I need to get either the subframe or brackets cut and shut to move the motor back. Definitely sits nice and low though. If I can move the motor back about 30mm, I can fit thermofans on the radiator as pullers, use a pusher on the A/C Condensor and keep aircon
  4. Just pics of all the goodies going in. Precision 6266 ball bearing twin scroll 0.84a/r Bosch 1200cc Injectors Twin Tial 38mm Gates Forward facing inlet plenum Nismo engine and gearbox mounts Powersteering cooler Braided ABS-delete brake lines Superpro Rack Bushes Sard FPR Walbro E85 460lph Pump @Performance Tub Kit, w/catch can, rad overflow and powersteering tanks
  5. Fitted a RB30 oil filter stud so I can run my greddy relocation and cooler kit.
  6. I rebuilt the top end with a full Nissan gasket kit, water pump, ARP studs etc.. Replaced timing belt and tensioners etc.. with a Gates Racing Kit, been advised to replace idler pulley bolt as they have snapped from using the tighter racing belt. Replaced the bolt just in case. Got the head ground and chem cleaned
  7. Found a good motor. Came out of a 4 door automatic, 80,000kms never boosted. And a MINT R33 box to go behind it.
  8. Found a R32 Cross member to mount the motor. Seen better days, looks like someone oxyd a bolt out of it. Did not notice it until I got home. Got it fixed with a new washer tig welded in the existing hole. Then took a wire drill bit, went to town on it and gave it a paint.
  9. Scored a R34 GT-T brake setup for a steal $450 front and rear with hubs, knuckles, calipers, pads and rotors etc... Got some RDA drilled and slotted rotors, still havent decided on pads. Will wait till car is closer to completion. Straight swap, hand brake cables pretty much line up like the S15 cables. Just had to get front hubs drilled out to 14mm. Got a race car builder to do this as I've heard its a major pain in the ass without proper drilling equipment,
  10. Then started the slow process of removing the old motor and all the stuff form the engine bay. Filled the big holes with epoxy steel, then a metal reinforced filler, then a body filler. Still needs one more layer of filler and a sand before I get the engine bay painted. Motors going in and out a bit atm so leaving engine bay bare. Engine Acc. Loom was a major pain in the ass to remove. Had to pull the dash as the previous owner had wired in the alarm and headunit etc... with no thought put into it.
  11. Here is a picture of the pressure plate and the associated damage. Took off in first gear at full throttle, about 5,500rpm there was a massive bang followed by rattles and smoke etc... Shit sounded expensive lol
  12. Howdy, Had this S15 for a couple of years. Car was my daily running around 200rwkw. In April this year the pressure plate exploded, destroying gearbox, bellhousing, starter motor, windscreen and ripped the flange off the back of the motor. Was pretty upset at the time but took the opportunity to take it off the road and build something cool. Always wanted a rb Silvia, this is my chance, firewall was alreasy bashed from the explosion so it was a sign haha. This is how it sat before I took it off the road. Plan is to go a R34 Neo motor, E85 and a precision 6266 twin scroll.
  13. How much, I'd be keen
  14. Arrived today, 6266 Ball Bearing T4 Twin Scroll 0.84ar for my 25 neo S15
  15. Looking at a 6266 for my 25 neo. What vendor has them at the best price? Best ive found is about $1800 delivered for a t4 divided .84
  16. Looking at a Precision turbo for my rb25det Neo. From what I've gathered the 6266 0.84 should match nicely. Motor is internally stock but will be running E85. I'm thinking about spending the extra cash on a twin scroll setup, going to be in a light S15 so I'd want power delivery as smooth as possible. Any graphs or comments for a similar setup
  17. Always had a soft spot for rbs. Eargasm, I just like turbos haa. More exciting to drive imo. I Know plenty of people running id2000s, no dramas at all I'd like to go mafless but can't justify the extra cash atm. got the z32 for favours and have a spare nistune board anyway
  18. Already got a Nistune. More or less after advice on "serviceable" items. I'm happy to spend a bit of cash now as working on the motor out of the car is much more enjoyable than in the car haha. .....
  19. E85 as it's a weekend car and the benefits are too good to pass. 6266 0.84, been speaking to workshops, distributors etc all been suggested as a solid match for the rb25. Mounts are sorted. Used r32 gear w/nismo mounts pretty much all bolts in
  20. Going for some id2000 injectors, walbro 400lph e85 model. Some people say I need a fpr, some dont. I can't tell 100% about the kms as I bought the motor from a private seller. I would rather fix it up while it's out. Do it once do it right
  21. Howdy, Currently putting a rb25det neo into my S15 since the clutch blew in the sr20 setup and made a maassssive mess. Always wanted a RB Silvia so it was the perfect opportunity. I'm not new to Nissans but havent had an RB before. Wanted to get some advice and stuff I should be attending to before the motor goes in properly. The motor has ~80,000kms, was from an automatic 4 door and has never been modded Going to be running a precision 6266 on mxp twin scroll manifold w/ e85. So far on my list. Full gates timing kit Metal headgasket Intake+exh gaskets i.e. the obvious ones ARP Head Studs Nissan Water & Oil Pump (Should I go N1 or standard items?)**** Extra oil drain/breather, using pretapped plug under ex manifold to sump. (I've heard the Neo's have proper oil restrictors in them, true?) Im running a Greddy relocation kit w thermostat and 13 row cooler. I plan to use a RB30 oil filter stud so I can ditch stock water/oil cooler/heater, any dramas doing this? Any help/suggestions much appreciated
  22. Howdy, Let me know if you guys have a forward facing plenum, after a decent brand one i.e greddy and a high mount exhaust manifold, t3 or t4. Show me what u have. Cheers!!!
  23. bump
  24. After engine brackets from a r32 (not gtr) o4o6o47727 cheers, dayne
