  1. What stupid f**kin rule says you can work on the car while the race is stopped,,,Wincups getting a new tailshaft for gods sake. Wonder what will happen if a car won't start,,,oh lets just put in a new starter motor. Crazy shit.
  2. Okay everybody,,,beers down it's time for lunch.
  3. Depends on which Richards you are talking about tall fella,,,old man Jim races in another class these days(Touring Car Masters) but his love child son Steve still races as a co-driver,,,he's in with that smiling little creep calling Lowndes. Hey look what I found in my picture archives,,,110 kilo great dane is shorter than you. Cheers Neil.
  4. Is anybody else running at this event?. It would be nice if I had some other Nissans out there to play with and talk shit to. I entered last night and they only had 10 spots left. One of the problems is your car has to be logged booked which is a pain in the arse for street cars to enter,,,it can be done but I wouldn't think there would be many streeties with a log book. Now hopefully I can do better this year and not hit anything and maybe just maybe go one better and win my class. Cheers Neil.
  5. Yep I agree,,,lap record is in real danger. Yes we are in daylight savings time mate and thank god we are,,,love coming home to daylight. Cheers Neil.
  6. Yea I would be interested as well. I was rather privileged to know what coldarse was on when he was at Larkhams and Stones but thats not really for public consumption. I can say though that when he arrived at FPR,,,brighty helped him out with contract stuff and one benefit was 1st class or business travel. Cheers Neil.
  7. I beleive my Nismo teddy bear gazumps your gearknob big time .
  8. Well,,, just read through the whole thread,,,very impressive purchases boys and girls. We are all keeping them in a job. I was asked by Zebra once why I had a Nismo sticker (chinese copy) on my windsreen when possibly I didn't actually have any nismo gear on the race car. Well there's not that much to buy for a poor old R33 GTS-T but I am doing my best. Nismo Speedo Nismo Key Nismo GTR Fuel Pressure Regulator Nismo Front Lower Control Arms (Oh wait I bent one racing) Nismo Rear Upper and Lower Control Arms Nismo clutch and brake mounting Brackets (not really but nismo cheated by just welding more points) Nismo Thermostat Nismo 555 Injectors Melinda was a bit taken by all the cool stuff Lander Toyota had bought into skippy land many many years ago and bought these 2 items,,,. We still have the receipts somewhere,,,pity we didn't keep the packaging.. Cheers Neil.
  9. Brad had a bad habit of not cleaning out his well-crafted parts properly and maybe that could be your problem big fella. I would stick with the fuel you are using,,,it has to come good sooner than later. I have a purpose built fuel cooler off an X5 3.0l Diesel that you can use tiger. I currently run one on my car and it works a treat. Here's some pics for your love. Here is it fitted to my car Nice and new straight out of the box,,,waiting for some R33 GTR sex. Plumb this bitch straight into your return line and cool that fuel baby. Cheers Neil.
  10. Why you decided to post the same question in 2 different sections is beyond me. I had started a reply in the motorsport section but in between me starting it and having dinner it has been deleted and rightly so. So heres my abridged version. Hope it helps. I beleive you have 4 options Dan, none really that close but it is what it is. Grafton has a go-kart track that also doubles as a bloody great hillclimb. It's a round of the NSW state hillclimbs. http://www.gscc.org.au/ Tamworth has a go kart track that is used for hillclimbs and supersprints. Now the hillclimb is not really a hillclimb as it's mostly flat but apparently it has enough elevation to make it a legal NSW state hillclimb champ event. I love going there,,,they would have to be the most friendly go out of their way club that I have ever come across. I have been known to drift the Skyline there on a number of occasions in practice and not got into trouble at all,,,actually they all loved it. http://www.oakburnpark.com/ Gunnedah has a hillclimb apparently which was trying to become a state round. Funny enough we drove up this road to a lookout and I said to the wifey that this would make a great hillclimb and months later I got an invite to run up it. We couldn't go but it did look good. Sorry no link but it could be another option. Kempsey also has a hillclimb that is a round of the NSW state champs. I've only ever been there once,,,it's a simple looking track that is quick and has bitten lots of drivers who underestimate it. The dickhead who bought my old sports sedan rolled it there. http://www.kscc.org.au/ Cheers Neil.
  11. No,,,you two will argue over how to wire something up. Here the driver line-up for this year,,,my god there are some dud's as co-drivers. Thank the world Besnard isn't making an appearance. No I'm not running a sweepstakes,,,just an easy way to peg who's in what car.
  12. I don't remember spewing up,,,very possible though,,, I did make a goose of myself didn't I. Me thinks I'll stay home this year.
  13. Yes a co-driver can but he has to be the one thats puts the car in the top 10 in the 1st place from memory. I'm hoping Wincup and Coldarse fight it out at the end again like last year. Jamie is by far the best tin top driver in Australia at the moment and he loves R32 GTR's so he's cool in my books. Davy Reynolds would have to be my 3rd pick,,,he's a great driver a smartarse and who doesn't like a smartarse in racing. Taking the piss out of dirt-bag Lowndes was some funny shit. Mandatory pit stops will kill any hope of Nissan/Betty's/Vulva's hopes,,,all 3's bad fuel economy will make their lives a misery all day. Cheers Neil.
  14. Now this pic is worthy of framing,,,makes my 30cm flames look like childs play. cheers Neil.
  15. I have to say a big HELLO to Levi and Chilli before that Wanker does.
  16. From Pete/Fatz. Cheers Neil.
  17. I was doing my usual search of Nissan race cars on the net and came across this nice piece of work,,,. http://racecarsdirect.com/listing/54366/fastest_nissan_skyline_circuit_car_in_europe.html 42000.00 pounds equats to approximatley $75000.00 skippy dollars so it's not stupid money for the gear it has. Freight is another question but this would make a great time attack car/missile sports sedan or a hillclimb weapon. Now most of these cars have a build thread,,,my question is,,,and I can't find it,,, does anybody know of a forum that has details of it?. No I haven't asked the owner either,,,I'm just interested in the build at the moment. No I'm not about to sell my Radical to help fund buying it but you never know. Cheers Neil.
  18. Nope have to dis-agree with you Troy,,,4 points don't stop submarining and if your running a proper seat you should use the hole provided by the manufacturer,,,thats why they go to the trouble of making a 5th hole. Cheers Neil.
  19. Seems a pom is copying you,,, http://racecarsdirect.com/listing/54791/nissan_skyline_r32_gt_r_rb26_calsonic_replica_price_reduction_1991.html just not as cool. cheers Neil.
  20. I'd be buying Fatzmans one if I was after a harness bar!!!. Nobody in this thread addressed the question about seat belts,,,so I thought I would. 4 point harnesses are ABSOLUTE CRAP. As fast as you can tighten the shoulder straps up,,,they are pulling the lap straps up as well,,,to the point of having the lap straps above your belly button. A frontal impact will see you basically submarining under them. I've had the mis-fortune of driving and being a passenger with 4 points and I hated it. Upgrading from 4 to 5/6 quality points is just a crazy exercise because it means having to buy another set of belts. Buy it once and it's done. Now as far as I'm concerned your choice between 5 and 6 points is sexual. Girls are okay because all there bits are tucked in (well they should be) and boys have to accomadate 2 gonades and the old fella. I had a 5 point in my old sports sedan and I could never get my man bits to sit comfortably. The 6 point I now run in the radical and the skyline allow me to adjust all my manhood nicely,,,one goes this side,,,one on the other and you mister,,,well you always go to the left (only poofs adjust to the right). One of the secrets to going fast is to be comfortable in the car and have all your gear in a happy place is paramount. Cheers Neil.
  21. My advice would be to buy a real phone,,,not that shitty iphone crappy thing and these problems wouldn't happen. Cheers Neil.
  22. What Michael said. There are some cool advantages to having a cage though,,,especially a full one. 1/ You will feel so much safer whilst thashing the crap out of her. 2/ You will now have proper anchoring points for a full harness and again you will feel safer whilst thrashing the f**king crap out of her. 3/ If you jack her up in the right spot you can change 3 wheels at once. Cheers Neil.
  23. + 2 Matty has been looking after all my cars brakes for years. Top bloke as well. Now who's got his name right,,,is it Mat,,,Matt or Matty or maybe even Mathew. Cheers Neil.

Okay I'm in,,,GTS-T S2 1996 White converted to race car so no cruisin anymore for us. Just pulled the receipt out of the files,,,purchased 20/08/2001. Cheers Neil.
  25. We removed all sorts of wires that I don't use anymore and a whole pile of factory option wiring and plugs. Basically all the aircon, factory boost controller, fog lights, rear wiper/washer controller and it's wiring and the abs wiring that I don't have. Man there was so much un-wanted wiring and earth loops everywhere. Next wiring job is to remove the dash and finally get rid of all the crap under there and install an on/off switch and starter button. I also removed the 2 vibration dampers from the rear diff cradle and with the ignition switch there's 1.6 kgs gone. Cheers Neil.
