  1. I couldn't care less who actually wins,,,Well thats not actually true GO THE BLUES,,,I just want a great game,,,but can that shit broadcaster stop showing replays all the bloody time. None of us are dummies,,,we can see whats bloody happening. Checking out the coaches/runners/the crowd and going back all the time with replays makes for a really crappy telecast. Then again I shouldn't expect quality media coverage from Channel 9. Stupid me. Neil.
  2. So what was everybodies favorite car,,,Mine was the Panspeed Rotary,,,Oh and John Boston's 180 lifting the inside wheel about a foot off the ground through turn 2. Nice work mate!!!. Neil.
  3. Troy,,,who died and made you the expert. You forgot about the correct turn into 2 which sets up 3 so you carry great speed down the hill to 4 which sets the car up for 5 which is flat stick. enough help from me. Go the Rotary's in the top 5,,,very cool. Stuarts doing great,,,15th,,,I'll bet he''s happy so far. Neil.
  4. When I 1st started reading it I thought,,,Ah Ben's taking the piss,,,AGAIN,,,Paddy the Irish-man. I'm now thinking these guys are on drugs. "It also will have a power band of over 5000 rpms so it will be vary easy to drive. It will start spooling at 3k and be at max 2.5 bar boost by 5k the cams we have will hold the power all the way to 10k so it will never be out of the power band on any track even if your in the wrong gear. It will have 11.5:1 static compression. The dynamic figure i wont be disclosing sorry. You need your engine to be at maximum cylinder pressure between 9-15 degrees ATDC. The only way to do this is by having the right compression ratio and ign timing mixed. Altering one more than the other only results in premature big end failures. The car will run on E85 for now. Quality dependent. The comp ratio will allow the use of 95 ron fuel with max 2.0 bar boost. Quality dependent. The RPM limit will be 11k. My current GTR engine has being doing 10,500 rpms for 4 years and when inspected has never shown any sign of high frequency harmonic vibration etching on the bearings. This engine has a better harmonically designed crankshaft so it should be better". I'm having a few problems digesting some of these statements. This thing is going to be a mental thing to drive,,,paddy is going to need more than 1 roll of shit paper,,,maybe 12. Hope they cut out all the standard Alfa rust!!! Neil.
  5. My heart felt condolences go out to the boy's family and friends. This indeed is a very very sad day. Neil. 0419160561
  6. This year was my 2nd as crew.,,,what a difference from 2007. Lets start with scrutineering,,,what rubbish. Mark was gone for about 10 minutes,,,when he came back so soon I'm thinking shit whats wrong,,,do I have to change stuff,,,NO it's all okay. All they did was a simple safety check,,,no tyres marked,,,go buy some kitty litter and thats it. Over 85 cars tyres were not done till tuesday,,,I wonder how many spares were not done. I was shocked at some of the mods that are now allowed. Surely a 120mm thick intercooler,,,massive exhaust diameters,,,hybrid turbos,,,oversize wheels and stuff that I spotted has really turned Targa into a joke. I can remember cams questioning which R32 N1 rear spoiler was the correct one for christ sakes. Pedal boxes,,,brake bias,,,external fuel surge tanks with massive pumps,,,aftermarket bonnets/boots,,,massive big brake combo's and the list just goes on and on. This is not in the spirit of Targa and it has to stop before they allow full floor sports sedans to enter. Don't start me on the rx8,,,for the un-educated this car was Aussie built and I would challenge Mazda to come up with 10 cars. That enough bitching for now. Congrats to Mrs Handley,,,I know you Vics don't like what happened but thats Motor racing. In my eyes chicky babes won. Neil.
  7. Update,,,seems snowmans engine is okay,,,but he's in need of a panel beater. God I'm glad I'm back in sydney,,,Tassie is so bloody cold. Mark broke a rear suspension arm today after the last stage,,,the CASE Tractor guys welded it back together and he'll be running again tomorrow. Seems the RX8 may not be out,,,Mazda are shipping replacement parts as I type. Neil.
  8. This is what greeted us the morning of the 3rd day. We changed it last night but Marks now only in RWD. This is what greeted us this morning. Yuk the car is a bloody mess. Snowy's cars suffered an engine failure today,,,not sure how bad it is,,,hope he can fix it. Neil.
  9. I'll be down there looking after the ONLY Team Raceworx car this year. Come say hello everybody,,,I might get lonely. Neil.
  10. I won't buy into all this electronic discusions,,,what I will say is the boys ARE driving these 2 cars bloody quickly. To be doing 62's and 63's is an outstanding job. Looks like I need to find 3 bloody seconds just to get in the top three,,,how the hell I'm going to do that I don't know. May the 2nd will sort that out. Anything under a 66 around Wakie is very very fast,,,please put your hand up if you have. Congrats fella's nice driving. Neil.
  11. Hey Jess,,,just wondering why SAU NSW wasn't invited to be part of the interclub supersprint???. Neil.
  12. I had an absolute bloody ball. Duncan YOU need to do Sandown. Those 2 massive long straights coupled with the twisties in between was so much fun. I just couldn't workout out my braking points. The front straight has large bumps in the braking zone which in hindsight I should have braked later to miss them and the back straight,,,well I need bigger balls and just keep the right planted longer. The rest of the track is just a barrel of laughs,,,deep in and great fun out. The right hander coming onto the back straight would rate as one of my favorites corners. Not one car went over the db limit so that was great not even the rotors,,,I was very nervous. Tek,,,not a problem mate. We did 2x supersprints (1-3-1) and 2 over 10 minutes sessions. Bring on P/I I say. Cheers Neil.
  13. I got this as part of an email yesterday. 75db,,,hope I'm under it,,,some muffler place will have to make me something on the saturday. The Fiat club of Vic suck. I've had the car at Redline Rotary all last week,,,he could have made me something,,,now I have to stuff around,,,leave bloody earlier and pay some shop through the nose. Neil. NOISE BAN BEFORE 9am As many cars are driven to the circuit a complete ban on running engines is not possible. As all cars will comply with the 75Decibel circuit pass rule, the following will apply: Before 9am Race Engines Must NOT be warmed up or tested. Engines at absolute minimum revs will be permitted. Absolute minimum revs may be used to unload from trailers - if required. When parking cars should stay clear of the western fence (the roadway bounding houses) and face cars exhausts towards the track. Any blatant abuse of this allowance will see a complete ban on engines and ALL competitors will have to push cars from the entry gate until 9am. Self Regulation is in your best interest. Officials will report offenders to the Stewards. A report may result in an offender being excluded from competition
  14. Mate I have massive horsepower,,,all 126 of it @ about 10000 grand. We have it limited @ 12500 and I do go there on the odd occasion,,,. First time I've had it on the dyno but the last owner had 160 ponies,,, but we know Dennis used the much harder dunlops. I'm on much softer Goodyears,,,these things after a session remove paint from garage floors!!!. And don't forget what I told you at Oran Park,,,You own a Nissan so my garage and help is always on offer. Never hesitate asking tiger. Cheers. Neil.
  15. That maybe basically true Ben,,,BUT I think if you don't want or can't afford rubbing panel racing it's by far the safest. If you do a E/C practice day on a L2S you are out with anybody that paid for a simple licence. There's no scrut,,no brief and usually no flagies. I did a few practice days in the Sports Sedan and I didn't appreciate a braking dual with a commodore at turn 2 or a honda civic shutting the door on me through turn 4. cheers Neil.
  16. All sorted mate,,,picked it up sunday. See you next Sunday or it's going on ebay. Neil.
  17. Radical's update,,,she has just spend a week at Redline Rotary. Alex has gone all over the car and dynoed it. Shit he used about 50 litres of fuel,,,I use about 5 litres a session at E/C sprinting so he's basically done two days running. We are off to Sandown this weekend for their 1st State Supersprint round,,,so we are hoping she will run properly. I've watched tons of utube vids,,,now time to do a million laps on xbox. I'll be stuffed come Wakey,,,I'm off to targa tas to help one of my fellow "Team Raceworx" drivers and flying back saturday arvo so go easy on me you lot. Cheers Neil.
  18. If the pic is anything to go by,,,check out how much disc is never going to used and while you at it compare the width of the pad to the disc. I think they are selling a missing matched kit. Neil.
  19. He better bloody not,,,the best looking R32 GTR in NSW does not need stone chips or rubber marks on her. Neil.
  20. Well Auto fiction stated today that Merc or Amg wasn't interested in getting involved. You can take that 2 ways,,,either they are flatly not interested or they are very interested and don't want Bmw getting in 1st. Now I'm not saying I have inside info because I don't,,, but,,,you can bet your left nut if merc says yes bmw will be in as well. From what I've read this car will have a standard floor,,,much like the cut and shut one used now but with proper hanging doors and panels,,,rear 1/4's will be removable for easy damage repairs. Neil.
  21. We are doing Sandown 1st weekend in April if that helps. I could throw it in the trailer. Neil.
  22. Better get round 3's paperwork in boy's,,,remember only 85 spots. If you don't have it yet which you should here it is. http://www.supersprints.com.au/forms/entry...ntry%20Form.pdf http://www.supersprints.com.au/forms/regs/...Supp%20Regs.pdf Neil.

  24. Ha Ha,,,i walked out of the garage in the arvo just in time to see you doing a lovely pirouette Brian. It was worth an 8.5 in my book. Big congrats has to go to Duncan,,,1st place is a job very well done indeed. Mr Handley,,, a big thank you for looking after my sadly sick car yesterday,,,not forgetting you ribbing the shit out of me all day as well. Your day will come tiger,,,at least I made you work more than usual. Yes it's off to the dyno next week. The only positive I took away from yesterday was the fact that I had crap power which forced me to brake way later,,,throttle on way earlier and smooth out my driving style. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise. 11th was just rubbish,,,especially considering just how good the track was. The track condition was the best I have ever experienced there. Well done ARDC. Looking at that list you posted Duncan and every other Nissan/Datsun entered,,,Imagine if we were all SAU NSW club members entered. We would be in the top 5. Sorry but I've been a loner for the club over the years and have jumped ship. Neil.
