  1. I've ordered 2 Jaz white containers from Revolution,,65 bucks each,,,I'm thinking I'll order 1 more. I took a blue one out into the sunshine today and could see though it. They have a an o-ring fitted cap and a lttle breather near the handle. Time will tell if they are better than the tin crap that leaked everywhere today. Neil.
  2. Locked diffs,,,whats going on here. Are we getting serious boys???. I thought this was a fun day out,,,seems not. It's all okay,,,I'm running the 1st Ladies car and it's got a mad locker as well. I was hoping Mrs Handley would have a steer of our car,,,but unfortunately Kelly is off doing some rubbish tarmac raily stuff. Go figure. Do me proud girl!!!!. Neil.
  3. Thanks Guy's,,,love the responses. If I'd asked this question anywhere else I would have got rubbish reply's and would still be none the wiser. You guy's are RAD. Russ,,,which did you buy,,,the RCI or the VP or the Jaz?. Stuart,,,yes I pegged your's,,,where did you buy them?. Your the one that gave me ideas. Jason they look like the ducks guts,,,. Which brings me to a little problem I have with the Radical,,,it has no fuel gauge and no hope of ever fitting one. So what I have to do is go out with ex amount of fuel,,,drain the tank after the session and measure it. I was think the Jaz/VP/RCI ones,,,I could mark the outside and maybe see how much fuel I've used. Boy's while the Elf cans and Rotary filler would be great,,,sadly no. Great for Tarmac stuff as you guy's need fuel dumped in quickly,,,I don't. I had a thought though,,,As some of you well know,,,I work for BMW and we get brake fluid in 30 litre drums of which are German and are of high quality. We actually do store fuel in them and they have the screw on fitting,,,we throw them away after use. These could be good for you guys. Neil.
  4. I'm currently using metal jerry cans which are starting to piss off. Leaking all of my/Duncans feet sucks let alone a scrut seeing it. Oh yea it's proberly just a little dangerous as well. Years ago I used ex army ones bit rust took over so I went to the usual $50-60 buck Repco/Super Cheap crap,,,but they all bloody leak. So I'm looking for a quality alterative. Searching the interweb it seems the drag guys use plastic ones,,,but not the cheap same jerry can shape plastic rubbish. VP fuels and RCI make what looks very good quality ones,,,but are they???. It also seems theres limited places to buy them,,,I may well get raped by Rocket ect. Any help would be very much appreciated. Neil.
  5. Mick,,,seems you were a good boy last year,,,Santa has really looked after you. Don't listen to the tin-tops,,,that thing is way cool. I swear before I'm too old to drive,,,my bums gonna be in a superkart,,,if only for a test. Duncan,,,I booked the day off on friday for your irace,,,so you have me both days. 2010 plans for me are:- 1/ Get the Radical sorted properly 2/ Thrash the living shit out of it 3/ Do as many interstate stuff I can afford 4/ Start doing stuff in the Skyline,,,she's been wob-webbed for far too long Neil.
  6. Eric what a small world we live in. Young Alex has a really cool old BMW which I love (don't tell him that though),,,could you please burn me a Hi-Qual copy and give it to him. I'd pay good money for it!!!. Thanks mate Neil.
  7. Enough whoring in this thread,,,start a stuff/mishap thread or I will. It would be funny shit. Neil.
  8. Maybe Duncan you should start a new thread,,, Title it "Stuff Up's and Mishaps in your Motorsport Life". You could fill 10 pages on your own Neil.
  9. Oh shit okay I'm wrong,,,everybodies allowed one mistake a year. 27 bucks is way cheap then,,,question is why.
  10. Are they plastic or metal brackets. Cams approved or not if there plastic I'll pass,,,but thats just me. This would be much better http://www.speedzone.com.au/trader.asp?id=5612 Neil.
  11. Eric,,,great vid mate. I love it!!!. Please can I have a copy. Neil.
  12. Mark, would you be interested in standard GTT rims?. They have some little marks but have never touched a gutter. I also have thin spacers as well. Our tyres are 4 years old but we could come to some sort of arrangement. Neil.
  13. Come on Stuart,,,make some adjustments to your exhaust and get out there with us and have a gut load of fun. Neil.
  14. Malcolm,,,the Execs and I appreciate your input and everybody elses and we will take it all on board. If it happens next years we may change things. SKYLINE IN NEED OF MOST LOVE,,,ah such a nice way of putting it. St1LO yours are also noted but "People Choice' as has been said earlier sucks,,,,that award always comes down to who has the most friends there. "work in progress" is also very cool,,,I like it. To the small few that decided to PM me about my choice,,,I think I addressed your concerns and have no one re-pm me. If anybody else is thinking of questioning my choice feel free,,,but do it in here,,,you might be taken aback when you find out my extended life within the motor industry. Cheers Neil.
  15. Hey guys it would be fantastic if you lot could keep us cockroaches informed about dates and stuff. Duncan and I want to pop up there next year and have a play. Supersprints and Hillclimbs ect are what we are after. I beleive the Aussie Hillclimb champs are up there this year as well as the Aussie Supersprints. I personally would love some practice. Cheers Neil.
  16. No,,,that tyre is now rubbish. Throw it away mate. Neil.
  17. Bloody hell thats confusing... Ryan,,,what if I told you I spotted no clutch pack,,,wiki may get very confused. BTW where you been hiding?,,,Hiding,,,I wish,,,Club Pres is a very behind the scenes and up front job,,,after SnS I'm stuffed. See you at Texi tiger. Neil.
  18. Please excuse my lack of understanding,,, but can someone explain the differences in 1,,,1.5 and a 2 way Nismo diff. I bought a Nismo diff a long long time ago and can't remember which it was. It's now fitted (what a pain on a garage floor) just needs oil and an exhaust gasket. Our old single spinner was a 4.11 (37:9) and the newey is 4.08 (49:12). Neil.
  19. Hey big boy,,,when you get around to doing R33gts-t gimme a yell. Neil.
  20. Thanks mate,,,we all appreciate you enjoyed yourself and all the other really cool comments. Thanks Heaps. Another smile on my dial. I beleive no other SAU NSW Pres has ever put back to back SnS's on,,,I now know why. That was a killer of massive proportions. Our exec section is as quiet as a mouse at the moment and I'm still getting over it. Which brings me to address the subject of "Best Exterior". Yes as has been well documented I was the soul judge. This was a non-Skyline only award and I know I picked the best exterior. Doubt me at your will,,,go on I dare you. What we need to get our heads around is the fact that Skylines Australia NSW is a very small club with a very limited budget,,,When the day comes that we can stand alone and expect entry's of 160 to 200 then we can have a Skylines Only SnS. That day was not 2009 and I doubt 2010 if it happens. We may well have a new commitee by then,,,,AGM voting will be in late May. The Dartone guys brought some really bloody cool cars and I thank them very much,,,Guys and Gals you have some really cool cars indeed. Sorry peeps but just how it is. Neil.
  21. Ben,,,most of your questions are answered here,,,go have a read mate. http://www.hillclimbnsw.com/index.html How many competitors usually show up?. How long is a piece of string?. Practice,,,rolf,,,,not a chance tiger. If I can get to them,,,I'll do rounds 1,2,3,4,5,6 and 8. I will never do the MG car clubs climbs,,,NEVER. Jason I'm hoping the proposed dates include Dapto Huntley Hill as well. Thats a great climb and I would love doing in the Radical. Duncan,,,you need to do the Bathurst Mountain Straight one my good man,,,you will love it. Actually you all will love it!!!. Evil,,,King Edward would suit your car perfectly. Neil.
  22. Finally I've had approval to run Mel's Skyline,,,now to get it ready. 1/ Stole wheels off Duncan with rubbish semi's fitted 2/ Get off my arse and fit nismo locker diff 3/ Buy a bloody race seat cheap 4/ Make bracket for firey thingy. Neil.
  23. If anybody is interested heres the proposed dates for next year. 2010 CAMS N.S.W. Hillclimb Championship Round 1. SDMA 28/02/10 Canberra Hillclimb 2. BLCC. 13/03/10 Bathurst Esses 3. 24. What about that idiot periodically starting and revving his Skyline,,,I was standing waiting for food (I only got chips) if thats what you would call it and the young guy next to me say's what the hell is that,,,I said oh just a crazy bloke that thought a LS1 in a Skyline would be a good idea. We both loved it....Stuart. Neil.
  25. Thanks Abo,,,I'm really bloody happy you liked it!!!. As I've said a zillion times YOU were the best Pres we have ever had and If you liked it I'm stoked. What can I say about everybody that attended,,,words don't really describe it. BLOODY FANTASTIC. I was gob smacked at the HUGE number of quality cars shown. It made me feel really proud to be the President of our Club and pulling off the largest show on record. After reading this whole thread I now have another massive smile on my face again. I spent all day talking,,,working,,,smiling,,,repeat,,,repeat,,,repeat,,,by the end of the day I was stuffed and I mean stuffed. Which brings me to everybody that helped organize the day,,,you ALL should give yourselves the BIGGEST PAT/SLAP on your back you are capable of. To pull this shit off in the time frame we had was insane,,,wives, husbands, girlfriends, boyfriends, family & friends, club members, non club members EVERYBODY,,,I thank you all. Behind the scenes was rather stressful but we got through it. Thats enough for now,,,our household needs a real dinner. Neil.
