  1. Stuart,,,I love Just Jap and they have looked after me for years but that is not a race cars spoiler. Look at the end plates and then look at a race car end plates. Yes thats a drift car spoiler that looks great but does very little. thats why it's a drift spoiler. The old guy,,,nice old bloke in the crown and his mate in the alfa/rotor,,,,great old guy's that you might what to talk to. Shit I do. Neil.
  2. No Ando you nut-case. What I'm saying is if you load the rears up with too much down force you will lose front grip,,,hence understeer. Reason I posted is at Wakefield in my old sports sedan,,,I ran without the front splitter and the big rear wing straight,,,the car still wanted to take-off through turn 1 which I would normally take flat. I know this is an extreme case but it does give everybody an idea of what happens. Neil.
  3. In some crazy way I think I just got owned. Great come back. Neil.
  4. You under estimate me Troy. I would be the one to not slam a wall. Neil.
  5. Stuart,,,I would think most people here wouldn't actually know a good wing from a bad one. Me included. But from what little experience I have I would go for a dual plane fully adjustable one. The autosalon ones are crapo,,,all they induce is loads too much downforce which equates to front understeer or no help at all. The V8 supercar ones are little more than a compromise for parity. I would suggest you go have a look at some top line national sports sedans and F3 cars. I know these are Radical rears but they give you an idea of what is required. Neil.
  6. Just spoke to Marky,,,the whole family is 1/2 an hour out of their new home and all is well. The Surf towing the new Targa/Combined Tourer car suffered some over heating probs early on but all is good now. The soon to be finished LPG Skyline cruised down there with the air-con on. Ryan,,,it fitted in the container sweetly. Neil.
  7. No buddy the JOBS got finished today. I am absolulely stuffed,,,which leads me to the question:- Are you Human or are you a Dancer Neil.
  8. actually NO,,,The gecko's are very common and they have become my good friends. The boys have just finished training,,,look for them in your intake,,,on your next rebuild. The girls are well trained and very deadly,,,they throw metal bits directly in to turbo's. Neil.
  9. Chris thats a great pic mate. I've stolen it and will add to my works slide show. Neil.
  10. What about those Male Model hands of mine looking after Mr Lizzard,,,. Chris,,,Marky and I had planned on using a tow car in reverse,,,but just letting him loose was much more fun. Benm,,,that is so funny,,,,"Watch out here comes Mark",,,oh shit I'd hate to be a tree". Ryan,,,all my street now know I have a pit bike,,,Thanks Marky. Andrew,,,no more beer for you. Neil.
  11. Thanks for the feed-back boys,,,much appreciated. Duncan has been organizing Garry,,,who would be my 1st pick,,,only because I know him and trust him. Brad if you talk to him could you get him to ring me on . I'll ring both ECS and Ractige on Monday and see what they say. Heasman's are not what I would consider a race car orriented shop. I know they wouldn't give me the time to set-up the car that I need. Brad,,,thanks for the offer but I'm not going to play with something I really only have a limted amount of knowledge about. Funny I played last year with the rear set-up and made improvements ,,,but I know I'm gonna stuff it up soon. I have all the factory setup specs of which I would like to have set and then have a talk about what we can do about improving it. The Radical has a very different front sway bar than any other car which needs someone to sit down and think about. It uses what Radical call a "Nic" link sway bar system which uses bell cranks and stuff that most scratch there heads about. Neil.
  12. Who do you guy's use?. I need to get the Radical's suspension sorted out pretty quickly. I was hoping I could get Gary from Selby suspension to do it but I'm running out of time and he's a hard man to get a hold of. I really don't want a street car guy doing it,,,,I'm after someone that actually knows how to set up a race car that I can sit down and talk to about it. Neil.
  13. ROFLMAO,,,It was a nice little story though you have to admit. Neil.
  14. Brighty is getting desperate. http://stores.ebay.com.au/britekmotorsport FPR are a force,,,but they just keep loosing the plot. Frosty can win,,,but he and the team keep dropping the ball at the wrong end of the year. Mark needs to have a really good long talk to his old man sooner than later. Neil.
  15. Michael,,,anything is possible. I'm just working out which championship/s I might like to do this year. Oh and the fact there are some very quick skylines in QLD is an added bonus. Neil.
  16. Interesting,,,could you please define The Vehicle must be constructed by a major manufacture. "Major" is a very loose term,,,What do you actually mean by that?. Are you talking numbers,,,a name brand. I think if you are going with this concept,,,If Project-mu makes a pad for a car that make it elligable. Neil.
  17. I said no to Duncan on the phone last night,,,but I slept on it and not such a bad idea. I could do an engine change before-hand and do slower 1.08's till my tank ran dry. More thought is needed and my spare engine turning up in time. Neil.
  18. Sorry Steve no beer till after the racing is over. Yes I'm more than happy to down a gut load afterwards. Duncan's car is a combined tourer which makes it basically standard. Not the best choice of car. He or I could proberly get his car into the top 10-15,,,but thats a waste of valueable resources and I'd like to see him do a full year in C/T and win. How do I feel about binning a car you ask. Well to start with I'm not in the habit of do such things. Crashes usually happen for 4 reasons:- 1/ Vehicle fault----somewhat out of my control,,,not totally but somewhat. I had a front control arm break at turn 1 O/P G/P in the Radical at warp speed and only killed the front tyres and a very soiled race suit. 2/ Driver brain fade---not something I suffer from. I've had my moments but never actually smashed a race car yet. 3/Argueing with other cars---superlap is basically a lengthened supersprint,,,so that shouldn't happen. 4/ Someones rubbish left on the track,,,be it fluids or parts---very dangerous and almost totally out of my control. If I binned someones car it would be for a very good reason mate. But if you are asking would I pay for the damages my answer would be no. Love as always Neil.
  19. Um no the shit will not begin soon. Sorry Fatz. I will allow Mr Pendlington one small reasonable reponse to Mr Dirtgarage's comments and then THAT is it. This thread WILL not be dragged into the gutter like last time. Did I make myself clear gents. Neil.
  20. I will when you get a roll cage,,,good semi's and NO passenger seat. I have never liked being watched at work,,,camera's are cool,,,Hey I belt my apprentice at work for looking over my shoulder. Neil.
  21. Yea Stuart,,,Pete could start a thread about what not to do. Who needs power steering when the front wheels are almost doing a Troy Corser. Neil.
  22. Ah Duncan couldn't you just edit my post mate,,,you have the power tiger. Benm,,,I have now appointed you the offical map searching poster and I'll keep you busy. Neil.
  23. I was thinking of posting my thoughts on how to stop EVERYBODY speeding on public roads but I'm afraid I would be lynched by everybody on SAU. Neil.
  24. Oh nice work Duncan,,,thanks for that,,,.
  25. My impeccable driving skills are available to almost anybody that requiries a driver to run their car. I am simpathetic to a cars needs and will only thrash the living crap out of her when told. I am also a cronic guage watcher and will always pull over if I think temps or pressures are out of control. I can also help with her off track needs and give great feed-back about setup. If you think this post is a joke,,,think again. I hold my class record in supersprints at both Oran Park long and short and both were done in very adverse conditions. Actually if you go looking for my results and think I can't do the job for you then thats okay and I'll watch from the stands. Love as always. Neil.
