  1. Might have been a 4wd mate. Just shows ya the other end of the spectrum. Neil.
  2. Pete I'm glad your happy!!!. I don't like selling to friends but thats been a great trailer in the years we owned it and can't see why with some care she won't do the same for you. I must say Mel and I both love your R31. Those wheels look so sexy on her. Is it a real SVD?. I had one as a company car (136 or 138) and a red one as well. We stop all the time to check all is good. I also touch the wheel bearing caps to make sure they are not hot. It's a great way of catching a bearing problem. Neil.
  3. Well,,,Well,,,Well seem it's not just "P" platers and he's a "Race car driver". Neil. A 78-year-old Melbourne man caught speeding at 170km/h on a winding road has become the oldest person to have his car impounded under Victoria's hoon laws. The man was driving the Nissan Pulsar at 170km/h in a 100km/h zone in Brandy Creek Road, Warragul, east of Melbourne on January 1 when he was caught by police. He was following a Nissan Skyline driven by a 36-year-old man. Acting Sergeant Carlo Visser said the road was six metres wide and winding. "It is disappointing to see a senior member of our community being so irresponsible - what example does this set for younger drivers?" he said. "The man expressed to us that he believed he was a skilled driver, and that he races cars. "But we fail to see how a driver can be competent when they are tearing around roads at 170km/h knowing that other drivers will not be expecting you. "To put those people's safety - and your own - at such risk is really just toying with death," Act Sgt Visser said. Both men had their cars impounded and paid $600 to retrieve their vehicles from the Warragul impoundment on Monday. The 78-year-old from Narre Warren North and the 36-year-old Canterbury man will both appear before court where they face fines and licence suspensions. Previously, the oldest driver to have their car impounded for speeding was a 64-year-old Melbourne man who drove a Porsche at 110km/h in a 60km/h zone. Police have already impounded 42 vehicles in just six days from Victorian drivers.
  4. This is one reason I started this thread in the 1st place. I wanted to see what other guys do and get great tech posts like you have. Nothing like talking to an expert. I remember a story about Victor Brays door-slammer not tied down properly coming back from WA one year and it copped a real beating bouncing around in their trailer across the nullabor. I'm not real happy with the way my car ties down as I have to use the centre of my wheels and that can't be good for my wheel alignment. Duncan pretty pic on page 4 is what i think is right but I don't have the room. Neil.
  5. Absolutely mate,,,shit you never know I might be interested at the right price. We might as well whore this thread it's as dead as anyway. Neil.
  6. That's some pretty damn smart stuff you posted Mitch. After watching some guy's tie their race cars down maybe I should print it out and hand it out. I use 2000kg straps to all 4 wheels but I have no choice,,,got nowhere else to tie down. Besides my car weighs 500 kilo's wringing wet. On long hauls I also chain the car front and rear on it's tow hooks,,,not tight but with very little movement. Neil.
  7. Yea.Yea,,,did you have to go and tell the world mate. I thought that was our little secret. John rest assured I'll keep my side of our promise though. Neil.
  8. Mate,,, O/Park staff don't usually open the gates till somewhere about 7.00-7.30. Race weekends I try to get there 6.45 and wait. Neil.
  9. Can we not talk about my finger,,,it still looks like absolute shit. Gloves are now my best friends,,,I'll take pink or purple any day. I was a little more productive today,,,removed my cv's thanks to that great new tool Mark. Neil.
  10. Cool,,,that makes me happy,,,because as you well know if he's working in the motor industry I can find him. Drunk,,,my god how anti-social,,,I didn't,,,I got pissed as a newt. Actually funny you mention your R33,,,would you be interested in selling it,,,not me but a friend at work is after a toy. Neil.
  11. Up-Date,,,Duncan is getting very very good,,,he spent the morning machining the inlet manifold to match the head,,,very nice job that got Mark's and My seal of approval. We were both very impressed. Mark and I played on his lpg roady (don't do it Mark) and again I suffered another mad cut. No pic avail this time,,,it would make you sick. Thanks Mrs Hawkins for looking after me,,,. Bugger,,,you 2 beat me to posting.
  12. Tell me your not out of pocket possum. Neil.
  13. That's because I two slammed this crap,,,but I got a bit over zealous. Roy and another guy got into me for slamming the Vic chick that works for Unique cars mag. In hindsight they were both right and I should have apologized to MissJuz. Neil.
  14. Thats a bit harsh Jamie,,,not everybody wants a cheater 4wd. They just help a bad driver look good and a good driver look great. Neil.
  15. An all aluminium trailer for 1 grand above a steel trailer,,,I'd like to see that. I'll take 3 and ship 1 to N.T. for mitch. Neil.
  16. Um that cage is as cams legal as me driving about now.. "beer burp " Neil.
  17. Jason's sale,,,ah some people do it hard. http://www.graysonline.com.au/sale.asp?SALE_ID=63653
  18. No Ben nothings wrong till you get caught. You should know that!!!. No I would never drive the right way on my mobile,,,then reverse back into my garage and then reverse down pit lane again. Did i get that right???. Enjoy Christmas everybody Neil.
  19. Ha,,Ha,, thats as funny as Baron,,,thats a car I was asked to drive. I can't see it happening now as we are about to have a little professional argument soon. If I do still get to drive it,,,there will be none of those shenanigans,,,so you might have to not use the truck my good man. Merry Christmas everybody. Love as always Neil.
  20. So I take it your happy with the trailer big boy. I would be disappointed If you weren't. Give it a good paint,,,look after it and it will give you years of enjoyment. Nice rims by the way,,,.
  21. Not a lot of actual work was done today. Duncan sorted out the water/oil/fuel fittings. Mark and I did front suspension stuff on his Roady out in the burning sun,,,. I have a nice cut on my right shin if anybody wants to see it.
  22. Adam,,,that is a really bad way of machining discs. On car disc machining was only ever meant for front wheel drive cars and it wasn't very succesful. Neil.
  23. Seems I have to go out early tomorrow and buy the mag or wake you up after dinner mate. Which would you prefer?. Thanks for the pic tiger,,,You can be 1st for my autograph as long as I get one from Mrs Handley. Have you ever noticed the background of my avatar,,,,sweet as. Neil.
  24. Come on you lot,,,maybe they are just having some sort of technical difficulties at the moment. Still no pics of Duncans tits though Pete. Neil.
