Sorry jas,,,Duncan was teaching me another way of posting pics. We hired the caravan my good man.
-
Richard,,,how the hell did you pick that so quickly,,,,Spot on my good man. Rod Marklands car actually. Neil.

Baron is very close. Some cars use a hollow wheel nut with a fine thread on the outer to screw the adaptor on. You don't have to use long nuts for racing,,,just for transporting. Benm,,,you are going to learn very fast that you can't just buy all your racing needs off the shelf or the net buddy. Quick quiz,,,who made them and what car are they on?. No prizes,,,just a test. Duncan you are not allowed to answer. Neil.

Yep,,,WELL DONE glad wrap girl,,,nice speech too by the way!!!. thank you for mentioning Phil's and my help,,,most don't. I'd like to thank my pitcrew/cook/organizer/financial controller/everything else my lovely wife Melinda does. Thanks Michele for the shoulder to cry on to by the way when I saw the old capri. It's not that bad, he's backed it into the dipper wall destroying the righthand 1/4 and also front suspension damage,,,all on his 1st run in the car,,,and on wets in the rain,,,silly old man. We had a great 4 days,,,but fancy putting me in libre,,,what a joke. I had to fight all weekend to keep my 2nd spot,,,a 29 flat with 3rd a 29.4 on the last run of the weekend. The wolves just didn't stop biting at my arse. Stuart Inwood if you ever come here for a look,,,Bloody well done as usual mate. Not only did he win his class with a 26.28, he ended up 11 outright!!!. Go the GTR. If that wasn't enough he spent god only knows how long cleaning the track with his new street sweeper. The man's a legend. We made lots of new friends and met up with lots of old ones,,,all in all a great time.

heres another option for ya mate.

No I don't think so "Glad Wrap" girl. I'll have done enough racing this year after Nov 22/23rd. Time to get it ready for 2009.

Here's an interesting little device. for some reason I can't upload the trailer pics at the moment.
-
We are running mechanical discs on the front axle. I've never been a fan of hydrolics or electrics. I don't like the hydrolic one because the trailer sits around for too long,,,absorbing tons of water into the system,,,you would need to cover the cylinder as they need a breather hole in the cap to work properly. The electric one is way to un-reliable for my liking,,,I've been down that road years ago and never going back. Neil.

Here's what I work out of,,,It's a pain but unless I win lotto,,,thats it. Neil.

Vids Of Your Cars At Motorsport Events
Neil replied to super_s13's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
NO!!!. Nice 2wd action there Duncan. I'm actually trying to put the vids of me owning everybody at the last powerplay day,,,just to piss-off some Nissan owners. -
Just so everybody knows,,,I hate the raceworx trailer,,,,there is nothing I actually like about it and if I had my way I'd take a plasma cutter to it and the world would be a better place. I will never forget the epic ride home from Wakefield. All I wanted to do is drink piss and relax,,,not a bloody chance,,,wheel gone,,,studs broken,,,I did laugh when a stud and nut decided to find a new home in the drain though,,,Duncan didn't!!!!. I do like the car sitting on it though. R32 GTR's are a bloody great looking car!!!. Neil.

Which is also is an interesting question,,,the Winch. Good call Ben,,,what do you guy's use for a winch,,,I use 2 cheap crap Aldi winches,,,one to lift the tail-gate and one if I bend the car and ever have to winch up the left-overs. Cheap shit at $80 bucks each but so far they have been slow but great,,,. Neil.

Oh shit see what I mean,,,lucky it's Kelly,,,so it's not all bad.

Tiger some wives have their own lappy's and surf in here while hubby cooks dinner. Actually I don't have such a fund,,,Don't need one,,we either have the money or I suffer dunlops at hillclimbs,,,,I just thought I would fish and see what I reeled in. Neil.

One of the problems with buying a trailer is unless you buy a top quality unit they always come with used tyres. God only knows where they get used 6 ply tyres but they do. Our old trailer has travelled all over the eastern seaboard with never a problem except for once on the freeway up to Bulladelah when it blew one of those used tyres. We changed to new ones and never had a probelm since. We supplied new tyres and rims for the new one and don't expect any problems. One of the other problems is too smaller a wheel,,,they must be at least 14inch,,,15 inch is best,,,anything smaller just spins way to fast. Single axles are a no-no with the weight of a Skyline or the weight I'm putting in the new one. I have learned so much about trailers in the last 5 years I think I am now an expert. My old mate Jimmy Winterbottom was sponsored by a trailer company and had like 6 made back in his speedway days as well as frosties go-kart trailers so I have had a good education. My newy is no limo but it will do the job perfectly. Neil.

Pm me a price tiger,,,you never know I might just use my hidden from wifey fund. Neil.

Host: Grafton Sporting Car Club A good sized field made the trek to the northern rivers area of the state for Round 4 of the NSW Championship at Grafton’s tight Mountainview course. Series leader and eleven times state champion Peter Gumley was a shock last minute withdrawal after suffering mechanical maladies at the Queensland championship, the week previous. This certainly opened up the possibilities for a surprise result, helped by a good compliment of entries from over the border. The weather started fine and warm, which matched the local hospitality as Tim Edmondson (Force PC) got things underway with a 45.61s run, ahead of Dave Morrow (Krygger Suzuki) 47.47s and Allan Hindes (Piranha) 49.02s. The second run saw Tim set a new Formula Libre 1300cc-2000cc class record of 44.12s with Dave Morrow 46.43s, Dick Willis (Cheetah) 47.13s and Phil Pratt (Trojan) 47.27s On the third run Tim Edmondson had an uncharacteristic spin just short of the finish (See Video...Will be uploaded soon) Dave Morrow improved to 46.43s while Queenslander Bill Norman bobbed up in the timesheets with the unconventional Gek Sports at 46.78s. A light shower then intervened to slow times for most, Bill Norman being one exception, moving to a record setting second outright on 45.20s on his final run. Further down the field in Imp Prod 1601-2000cc, Nathan Abbott and Heath Campbell ignored the slippery track as they traded places in their VW Beetles. Nathan claimed the victory, with a new class record of 51.51s only a tenth or so ahead. Other new records were set by Brian Veal (CRX), Stu Inwood (Nissan GTR), Craig Albertson (VN Commodore) and Mark Wright (Commodore). By Alan Barlow - Website Editor

Okay back on topic,,, you two have me this weekend (the boss is away) and thats it till some time in December. Much work has to be done,,,and I'll help as I can,,,I'm am getting old boys. Neil.
-
Well well seems we have drifted apart my good man,,,. My old trailer is in storage with exclusive use at the moment for team raceworx,,,. I figure the boys look after me so i'll look after them. But as you well know everything in this life has a price. Interested are we possum?. Neil.
-
Thanks Ben,,, it wasn't crazy money either. We can now go to races with a dry car. Austrailers is good choice,,,they made our 1st one and it towed great. Pity they never returned phone calls and e-mails,,,I'm thinking they didn't want to do an enclosed one. I'd love to see how other guy's and gals fit them out. I spend half my race days looking at other trailers working out how others did it. have a snoop at this yanky site,,, http://pitpal.com Neil.
-
Thought I might start one seeing as how we have "Show me your Race Cars",,,why not show what you use to tow them in. I have just purchased an enclosed one after using an open unit for years. Heres some pics of it being built. I hate SAU sometimes,,,I can't upload more than one pic.
-
Oh how funnies that!!!. I just did a search on cams and also got nothing. Cams have really lost the plot. So much for grass-roots racing. Why do we as an affiliated club pay theses fools so much money. Um i might post them an e-mail,,,I'm in the mood. Neil.
-
I think they are targeting trucks using compression brakes,,,not us. Let face it,,,going down Ousley would normally be done on a trailing throttle,,,no skylines going to break the limit of a noise box. Oh and some of my good old friends are bikies,,,sure their bikes are loud,,,but they are cool dudes. Neil.
-
Yea that does sound very gay. To be honest I have not read the rules for other classes,,,just my own. Seems you have to have had 3 runs in cams supersprint to be elidgeable. Road registered cars don't need a log book,,,so how the hell would they know if you contested 3 or 33?. Duncan we were not bumped into the open classs,,,we were bumped into the "Special" class. Remember that gave us the right to push and shove the non-special drivers out of the road. Neil.

Nah Brad It wasn't the Cusco one,,,I bought one off Johnny at UAS some years ago that was good quality steel that would do the job. I actually gave it back to him thinking it was wrong. Strupid me. Really the only way to secure the shoulder belts properly would have to be a half or full cage. But after saying that the series 2 GTS-T's have mounting points for a strut brace in the boot which I use. Cutting the rear fire wall to run belts through there would be another way. The Skylines parcel shelf is no way strong enough in my opinion,,,but the strut towers would be. Neil.
