  4. i got 2 ti rims with black inside and chrome ring for $20+ postage which prob isnt worth it but my engine did 370xxx and was still going fine not to sure about tranny but they are damn strong engines oh yeah ratz26 i paid $1000 for mine and it needed heaps of shit done to it alot more then yours would need but although yours isnt a ti i'd say try for around $700 or something like that

  6. hey anyone who has done a rb20det into an aus delivered 31 does the manual tail shaft fit fine when using the r32 gearbox? cheers paul
  7. hey when you did your 20det conversion did you need to get a diff tailshaft or did you use the manual 31 one i heard it fits the same but unsure about some stuff cheers heaps paul

  12. i wouldnt bother with an l28 out of a patrol i thought they were 4wd and had front mounted something a rather opposed to the 280zx l28 but im not too sure on what exactly needs doing but more work then worth it i was told when i was thinking about it cheers paul.
  13. gday i want to buy an rb skyline thats turbed or atleast forced inducted like a supercharged rb30e, rb20det, 25det or if someone is feeling generous for 10 grand a 26dett lol but highly doubt that last bit doesnt matter auto or manual got a while left until i get my license back so got a while to modify or do what needs doing thanks in advance Paul.
  14. spotted a nice black 34 coupe at castle plaza yesterday arvo prob about 3.30 - 4 and not long after turning off the side street next to castle plaza onto south road saw a grey r33 4 door

  16. didnt the 260z's or one of the z series have flat top pistons for the L series? they might work out cheaper i got qouted roughly a grand for a rebuild with flat tops and im sure you could find a better head around at a local get your own shit type of wrecker and get that rebuilt when you get your block and such rebuilt and if you dont have any check out the datto forums or try source people here that are willing to part with parts, and for internal work all the l series have stock forged crank and rods, pretty sure you wont need to change the compression ratio coz isnt it already 8:5? which is the same as an rb20det? if any of this doesnt sound right correct me as i dont have a great memory and going by the info i got when i was gonna do this. and as for not having performance garages near by most the stuff you can find if your lucky will need to be posted anyway i live in adelaide and everything i could find appart from injectors needed to be posted good luck i still really wanna do this conversion but got other plans cheers Paul.

  18. gday just wondering what the terms for dropping an rb20det into an r31? is it true you dont need an engineers cert, and dont have to go through regency just simply change the engine number on rego?? thanks heaps Paul.
  19. gday can anyone tell me what the terms for dropping an rb20det into an r31 in south australia are? i've heard a rumour that you dont need to go through regency or anything other then changing the engine number on the registration because you dont really need to change alot for the conversion so ya dont need an engineers cert is this true or is it bullsh*t? thanks lots Paul.
  20. i think im gonna have to go to my local Nissan wreckers to get the TB which i dont like doing because they are the most useless people and they will rip you off any chance they can get they have got a set of DR30 tail lights that they are trying to flog for $400 i only paid $80 for mine and there isint a scratch on them. yeah the dirty shits were trying to sell them for $570 or something a while ago i thought it was way too pricey and i've seen a few pinny's with the ka24e out at u pull it if you want that throttle body and wouldnt the same go for the ford model whichever it is corsair i think have the same engine? coz its the same body so would that work the same? cheers Paul
  21. could it be the spark plaug hole? like in my commo it did the same sort of stuff and then found out it was only the thread had cross threaded when the guy before changed spark plugs everytime i'd go over a bump it would wriggle loose, but i thought you could run a 6 cyl on 5 cylinders its worth a look coz after i got it rethreaded perfectly fine never turned itself off since starts everytime now Cheers Paul.
