  1. thanks for the help so far. To confirm In fact it is the 4wd light that comes on not the syncro light. This has always been on. the transfer box has been rebuilt and it made no different to the light. The abs light has only recently come on. I will try to get an error code.
  2. I have recently tuned the RB26 engine in my stagea which is producing just over 500bhp with decent torque on low boost setting (506 at flywheel on a 4wd dyno ) The car drives fine on low boost including full right foot. The problem is do the same on high boost and the only the rear wheels spin . This is including on the dyno (although it may not have been tied down that well ) This is quite annoying as high boost is rendered close to useless. The car has manual gearbox and Goodyear F1s tyres (245 40 18) all round. All the plates in the transfer box have been changed. It has an F con V pro ecu and I have just fitted a gilken twin plate clutch as the old one would not take the power. Previously it was possible to get all 4 to spin in 1st now just the rears do this. This was only in very low gears and when being "silly" The abs light is permanently on and so is the 50/50 split light although the latter has always been on since I got the car (2 years ago) which is way before the problem ever appeared . My question Could this be a problem with the ABS sensors/wiring the ATTESSA ecu or g sensor or do I just need larger/stickier tyres
  3. I have recaros in my stagea which were R33 GTR skyline. I know because the recaro boxes actually had 33gtr skyline stamped on. Im short and whilst they are lower I have no problem in seeing over the bonnett. might be different with stock GTR seat but I would have thought they will be fine
  4. Thanks for showing interest A few answers the carbon fibre air diversion plate on the green S1...... gimme gimme gimme! were can i get one? I ordered it from japan was actually supplied by garage defend and was made as a special from a pattern they had - first fit was rubbish but after a few hours help its fine. Awesome! That green Stag is hot! Genuine (Nismo) 260RS or conversion? 6 spot front calipers..... nice. It started off life a an RS Four (but so did the autechs),The conversion was done by major japanese tuning house inc genuine Nismo bodykit . Imported 2 years ago it now has forged tomei engine approx 600 bhp , most handling mods you can do and recaro interior. Does the one with the RIPS number plate have a 1000hp RIPS RB30? No but it is the tow car for a RB30 drag R34GTR built by RIPS that runs reguarly at the UK drag meets
  5. We have a ten year rule which means that we are only just getting round to importing series 2 cars . M35s will be a long way off.
  6. Some pics of the first UK stagea owners club first national meet. I do appreciate that 13 Stageas in one place may not be unusual downunder but please bear in mind that there were probably less than that actually in the UK 18 months ago. The meet lasted two days and the longest distance travelled was a round trip of just under 750 miles. STAGEA ON LPG 260 RS RENIK GT FOUR WINNER OF "CAR YOU WOULD MOST LIKE TO STEAL"
  7. I have just fitted some 343mm AP Racing discs and Calipers (6 pot) to my Stagea as the 34 gold brembos made things a bit hairy after the recent engine upgrade. They fitted on perfectly with only one minor mod I just had to remove the unused alloy lug which hit the AP caliper bracket. Some pics. Lug removed Caliper bracket fitted The finished article
  8. Though we would give you an update on the UK stagea Owners Club. We have our first National Meet over this coming weekend. Its over two days and so far 15 Stageas have confirmed. There are now around 150 in the Uk and we have 70 that use the forum and 40 paid up members. Will post some pics next week.
  9. R34 turbos will fit. You will get power from lower revs but not a lot more top end.
  10. Hi We have just found this thread in the uk and have put a similar sticky in our Stage owners club forum . Hopefully we will have enough names soon to be able to move this forward I will keep you posted.

  12. Tunnel Runs? Are they still popular (legal) in UK? legal NO popular YES Convoys (more than 5 cars) are not legal in the uk but meetings are ok . We really do have some crazy laws. I suppose we drive there in groups of 4 on the same road
  13. Hi Just thought it would be worth saying that we have now started a UK Stagea owenrs club. The numbers of Stageas in the UK have been steadily increasing and we are up to about 50 - thats people who have actually put their name on our forum as owning a stagea . Obviously there are quite a few more. As of today we have 25 paid up members . This is not bad as we only started the club a week ago . I am sure we will get the numbers up quite quickly. We have a stagea secton on the GTRoc website for about a year. http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/general-stagea-chat.html If anyone wants to join in the chat feel free though you may have to register to post The guys are very enthusiastic but not as knowledgable as you guys as most have only had the car for a few months. Most have RS Fours but there are a few RS 260s and some with RB26 manual conversions some of which are running quite good power. Thanks
  14. My best "volvo moment" The Stagea is actually on the GTRoc stand in what is probably the biggest single day car show in the uk called the bromley pageant. There are Nissans and Nissan flags everywhere. I am inbetween a 32 and a 34GTR The bonnett is open and I am explaining to a sensible scooby driver that yes they are normally single turbo autos. A guy with a staff and a vest with a Union Jack T shirt (you need to live in the uk to understand the type). Comes up and shouts loudly to his mates ( who are only yards away ) Cor a twin turbo Volvo - I bet thats quick.
  15. The bodykit and the rear wing are Nismo
  16. At last the mapping is completed. We had to put a twin plate giken clutch in because the uprated single plate Nismo clutch simply surrendered. The dyno readout was not working properly but Tweenie rob estimates 610-620 with just over 500ft lbs torque . This is based on him driving the car as well as the fcon readings and his experience with rb26s (which is considerable) All I know is its bloody quick and bloody thirsty. The wait and grief all seems worthwhile now.
  17. Is this a sarchastic post or not ? - The first 4 are rather lary but whats wrong with the "yellow" one . The colours certainly no worse than the bright nissan yellow . That is actually a orignal Nismo bodykit with Nismo LM 1 wheels .
  18. Took the car in to have the F Con Pro v fitted and mapped. If only it was that simple. First there was not enough current getting to the tomei fuel pump so it had to be rewired. Then it was all systems go First power run at ! bar gave 520 bhp Then boost upped to 1.3 and we got 490 ft lbs of tourque Unfortunately one of the power steering hoses started leaking so no more could be done. Still it looks like it will see over 600bhp which means the nismo clutch will need changing for an os twin plate as it wont cope with the launch control. By the way anyone know if the power steering pipes are the same as a skyline.
  19. Posted Today, 02:33 AM rsfouruk, those rims look similar to what Ive ended up with' might paint mine like yours, white for white rs-4 instead of gold on green Quite a few companies do a similar wheel . Mine are split rims so the 2 colours are much easier to do
  20. As I wanted a sleeper I chose these Ultralite Nurenbergs - not too lary and the gold goes with the green. ( I think ) BUT............................ What I really want is a set of Nismo LM 1s to go with the bodykit One last thing on the subject - when the car arrived from Japan it had these wheels ( enkois) with unicorns in the centers . Unfortunately the wheels would not fit with the bigger brakes and the ceters wont fit the new wheels
